Usually, we sit inside, but Since the weather had cooled down, and it was nice, we sat in the outdoor patio area, which was very comfortable and a lot more quieter than in the inside. I ordered the Jr. burger, which was pretty huge for me and I could only eat half. My husband ordered one of their big hamburgers which he loved. Perfectly messy and delicious. And as always, their zucchini was enough to share and freshly cooked and tasty. This is a great place on the corner that has pretty much everything under the sun and more. Today I went with their tuna melt. They definitely don't skimp on the tuna. It was piled high with lots of tuna mixed with just the right amount of mayo, celery, and seasoning. The bread was toasted perfectly with a nice buttery crunch on the outside while staying soft inside. The melted cheese added a nice creamy layer without taking away from the flavor of the tuna and a nice slice of tomato to finish it off. It was a really good. I found myself in the area as I dropped my daughter off at school. I was craving a char burger and stumbled upon Tom's, 3 minutes away from Coastline Community College. I pulled right up to the drive-thru speaker and was greeted by a kind voice, I placed my order, it was repeated to me perfectly, then I was invited to pull up to the window to pay and receive my food. As I got to the window I saw a big display on the wall advertising housemade cookies, with a good variety of flavors to choose from. And once the sweet woman came to the window I asked her about the cookies, she was excited to share with me that they are homemade and quoted me the price for them. The price was a little more than expected, so I only asked to add one to my order, the brownie cookie. I was a little concerned paying more than $5 for a cookie, but holy smokes when she handed me the cookie, I was pleasantly surprised. That thing was HUGE! It smelled amazing (and tasted amazing too!) I ordered the Jr Cheeseburger Combo, it was well made and a great value for the price. If I am ever in the area again I would definitely consider stopping here again, if not for the burger and fries, but absolutely to try more of their delicious cookies and wonderful service. read more

Starting with the biscuits and gravy. It was on social for 8.99' and you got a choice of bacon or sausage, 2 biscuits and gravy, and 2 eggs to order. The biscuits was fluffy, hot, and soft. The gravy had lots of flavor. Everything about the plate was good. I gotta give it a 5/5. The chorizo and eggs breakfast could use alittle love, but they packed that plate to the brim. It's almost enough to feed two people. The chorizo and eggs could use alittle more seasonings overall I give it a 4.3/5. I def would come back here. I found a hidden gem for burgers and fries, you absolutely have to check out Tom's Place! This spot has quickly become my favorite, especially now that they're open on weekdays from 7 AM to 8 PM. I tried their signature burger, and let me tell you--it was incredible! The burger is massive and cooked to perfection. And the fries are perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Tom's Place is a located on 17th St and Placentia, easy to miss because it' in an industrial/business area and is on the way to Hoag Hospital. It does have a dining area but I have only order by the drive-thru. While waiting for my daughter to get treated or admitted at Hoag Hospital I decided to stop for quick dinner. Called it stress eating, or nervous eating and boy I'm I feeling both I have been two diffetent times. I've tried the Pastrami sandwich. The Pastrami was tender and delicious I would def it otder it again. This time tried the Chicken sandwich w/fresh lettuce, tomatoes and a small order of fried zucchini both were on the larger size and are shareable . Even though this is a fast food place it is on the higher price but most places in this area are higher prices.
