And drool. But for whatever reason, we'd always put it off when visiting our cottage in Moran, Michigan each June. Then today me, my wife, and our dog Jax dropped in. It was EXACTLY how I thought it would be. Old school drive-in vibe, friendly server, and delicious burgers in the comfort of the family SUV. Even the fries and onion rings were perfect. We ordered a plain burger patty for the dog, and our server even brought him a biscuit treat! Who does that? We'll be regulars every time we visit our Yooper friends in our favorite state from now on. There's a Taco Bell next door. Nobody cares lol. Go there now. Unless they're closed. In which case, wait until they're open. Pay attention people!

The staff was incredibly friendly and added to the overall experience. One thing that stood out during our time in the Upper Peninsula was how genuinely kind and welcoming everyone was. The Yoopers, as I believe they're called, are some of the most pleasant people we've encountered, and Clyde's Drive-In was no exception. Great food, a fun atmosphere, and friendly service. The first thing you'll see are no less that 3 signs posted which read, "No public restroom". When a small business seems more concerned with preventing someone from using its restroom than with being hospitable to the people it hopes will come inside and spend money, it is a big no for me. I understand there can be legitimate reasons for restricting restroom access, but all the 'NO PUBLIC RESTROOM' signs just feel unnecessarily unwelcoming.
