    Corn dogs, one wasn't enough!
    Jessica H.

Delicious & quick late lunch. The non hot dog eater grabbed a pretzel/cheese and waffle fries. Tried the all beef dog, regular weiner and a couple of corn dogs. Seating available inside & outside. Parked and walked before shopping, if you're looking for a casual & fast lunch spot, check it out.

It hotdog. Hard to get wrong. Menu is straight forward and food came out quick. The fries were scrumptious and perfect, the hotdogs were yummy too, but in a regular hot dog way. The fun part was definitely the giant hot dog on the roof.

A simple, delicious hot dog. Great friendly service and fun, nostalgic diner vibes. A staple when visiting Mackinac.

Was very delicious! Service was quick! Hot dogs were a little small but still wast a great taste!

We stopped here because it was a short walk from our motel and had the veggie dog. We did only notice it from the giant hotdog on the roof. Prices are a lot higher than I saw online. One veggie dog was 4.99! I think we spent $45 for two people. You pay extra for chili and cheese and they put the smallest amount of cheese I've ever seen. Waffle fries were old. It was mediocre and not worth the price. Also don't tip, they still give you old food. This is an order and wait for your order number to be called establishment. Too Bad we wanted to like it.

The giant hot dog on the roof is fabulous! The hot dogs were ok. We tried a goof long and a Coney dog. They have an interesting grill or char but nothing made them stand out.

Serious question. You're driving down the street and you see something like a 150 foot long massive hot dog affixed to the top of a building...how do you not stop there? I don't know. So I stopped. This place is a celebration of the hot dog. They've got all kinds. It's not haute cuisine, but it's priced accordingly. I had one with chili and cheese with an order of waffle fries and it was both delicious and filling. The vibe inside was slightly crowded and a little loud, but there's outdoor seating as well for those of you who need a bit of elbow room. Order at the counter, wait for your number to be called, chow down. For what this place is, (a hot dog joint in the shape of an old school diner), it's pretty good. Definitely worth the price and a solid option if you're in the area and in the market for quick and easy bite to eat.

If you like hot dogs, then this is worth a stop. The only risk is that you might wreck your car staring at the gargantuan hot dog on the roof. Stepping inside, it does have a 50s diner vibe with stainless steel counters and bar stools. There are a variety of different dogs to try. I really wish I had tried one of the sausages, but I decided on the Reuben Dog because...well, I like a good Reuben. This was not a good Reuben. The dog was topped with a pile of good sauerkraut. It was billed as having Swiss cheese, like a Reuben is supposed to have, but there was none. There was a drizzle of 1000 island dressing on the top, but it wasn't noticeable in the taste. Most disappointing was the dog itself. It was the average blended type dog, the type you may have tried at a cafeteria. Even smothered with sauerkraut, there's no getting around the averageness of the dog. I got waffle fries as a side. They weren't bad, except that they weren't fresh. They were a bit soggy, but the seasoning was good. The order was served up quickly, and the cashier was friendly enough. But, I'm not sure if that's enough to make me want to order from them again. But, that massive hot dog on the roof? That will be a fixture in every trip up this way from now on.

As many times as my family has visited Mackinaw City, this was my first time at Wienerlicious. I had the Reuben dog and the 'kraut was generous, and the 1,000 Island dressing was a perfect topper. My daughter's bratwurst was huge. And the waffle fries were perfectly fried and delicious. Great stop!

    Mackinac dog and cheese fries

Stopped into Wienerlicious while passing through Mackinaw City and was seriously impressed. I tried the Chicago Dog, Mackinac Dog, and the Coney Dog -- all were packed with flavor, made with care, and had that perfect snap. The waffle cheese fries on the side were crispy, cheesy perfection. What really stood out was the staff -- super friendly, fast service, and great energy all around. This place doesn't just have fun with its name -- it delivers. If you're in town and craving something quick, local, and delicious, this is the spot.

Our review is as follows: For being called Wienerlicious, the hot dogs were hugely lacking if at best. Good flavor, but lost in the buns (we had an all beef, Chicago, coney, and a Reuben). The milkshake was also to be desired not being made out of ice cream, but ice milk. The amount that was spent on these five items and the product quality was very poor. As for the fries, we really liked them and would enjoy ordering them again if we entertained coming again. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and courteous service was given.

Nice hot dog joint. A little expensive but it's not Costco, it's Mackinaw City. Great Chicago dog and coney dog, and good waffle fries

Our server Lisa was so warm and friendly (as if she was your mother) and took great care of us! Got the parmesan topped whitefish with creamy mushroom soup and coleslaw. To place a carry out order, you must come inside and sit down at a table, then tell your server that you want to place a to go order. Lisa was helpful, told me the order would be out pretty quickly, and she brought me a glass of water for while I waited. I ordered the mackinaw burger with onion rings, and hot ham and cheese with fries. I also ordered a coconut cream pie and a Dutch cherry pie slice. All of this was to go, and she packed it up and brought me carry-bags for it. The coconut cream pie was good. The Dutch cherry was ok but, I have had better. The French fries were good--crispy and lightly seasoned. The onion rings were large and hot/fresh, but they are battered (I prefer breaded), and they are pretty greasy. The burger was nice sized and cooked well done, which I like. It came with cheese, lots of pickles, relish, lots of mustard, and just a little ketchup. The hot ham and cheese was okay. I chose white bread rather than rye or wheat. The bread was not special--seemed like white bread you'd buy at any grocery in a plastic wrapper. There's an up-charge for the onion rings. I say skip that and get the fries. For the 2 sandwiches, 1 with fries, one with onion rings, and 2 pieces of pie, my bill was $51.36 before any tip added on. I get that it's a short season up north here, so I expect everything to be a little pricey. If the burger had a bit of char and came on an upscale bun, if the hot ham and cheese came on a thicker toasted bread, I'd say ok. But for what we got, it was overpriced.

Even with the coupon it cost pretty much what we normally pay for breakfast but I assume it's hit or miss with the food and service here. My guess is if it doesn't look crowded go for it. While we were waiting, another family arrived after us and stood there for about 15 minutes without anyone greeting them or even saying, "We'll be right with you." Once we were seated, we were placed in a corner while most other guests were seated out on the main dining floor. It honestly felt like we were forgotten about. Our waitress rarely came back to our table. We were seated at a table with no napkins in the dispenser, so we had to ask for those, and no straws were brought with our drinks. It was difficult to even get our waitress's attention. If you're staying at the hotel and planning to use the breakfast coupon, be aware that only four menu items qualify, and none of them are particularly appealing or a good value. I ordered a Diet Pepsi but was served Dr Pepper instead. I assumed it was an honest mistake the first time, but my refill was also Dr Pepper. When I finally mentioned it, I was told that their "Diet Coke" was Dr Pepper, which didn't make any sense since Dr Pepper and Diet Coke are completely different soft drinks. To top it off, our bill was over $60 for food that was average at best. Overall, the service and value just weren't there. I'd recommend saving your money and eating at Darrow's or Pancake Chef instead.
