Attempt at nachos.
Thurl R.

The food was adequate, I'd say it was pretty standard pub fare. The shrimp was ridiculously heavily coated with batter. My daughter's meal came with coleslaw and despite the fact that we asked numerous times, no utensils were brought for her to eat it. The cheese curds were decent, as was my chicken sandwich. The nachos were meh at best and we ended up leaving them mostly untouched because they were difficult to navigate. The ambiance was nice, nauticalish I guess. The prices aren't too bad.

Ridiculously good Mac and Cheese - A white bowl contains macaroni and cheese with melted cheese on top, served with a bread roll on the side. The bowl is placed on a dark wooden table, and part of a person's arm and another person's head are visible in the background.

When I'm eating out with a large party, I keep my expectations low. I mean, how good can the service be? But, Mulligan's blew me away with the speed of their service. And, speed doesn't count for much of the food isn't good. But, again, Mulligan's delivered on all counts. My Blackened Bleu Cheese Bacon Burger was an absolute monster. The balance of beef to bacon to cheese was just right. And, there was a lot of it. The waffle fries were crispy and flavorful. I usually hit a point in the meal when I figure I'll take half of it home. I hit that point, but I kept on eating. I'm in pain, but it was worth it. The Mac and Cheese is like Clark Kent: a mild mannered Mac and Cheese that turns out to be Superman when you take the first bite. Yes, it has macaroni and it has cheese, like a mortal mac and cheese. But, this one is a pork belly (!!) mac & cheese topped with cheddar jack cheese. Holy crap is it good. It can be served with jalapeños if you're in a feisty mood. And then, we have the fried chicken sandwich. Lightly fried and crispy with perfectly cooked chicken. Things like this make me wish I had a bigger stomach. Seriously... want to try everything. The portions are massive, too. And, the prices are reasonable for the quality and service. We had hoped we could bring the dogs, since there's an outside dining area, but no dogs are allowed. We had to leave them at the hotel to help with the leftovers. Mulligans does everything so well that I can see making a detour to eat here the next time I go up north.

Spinach and artichoke dip - The image shows a rectangular white plate with fried wontons arranged on it, placed on a dark wooden table. In front of the plate is a bowl of spinach and artichoke dip with a spoon, featuring a creamy, greenish mixture. Two drinks are visible in the background: a glass of beer and a glass of dark soda or cola. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment, likely at a restaurant or bar.

Nice place to spot for dinner and some drinks. Service was great. Good options on the menu. The serving size is good. The Mac n cheese sandwich was solid. The salad was large. The cheese curds were awesome. A great stop if you're in town.

A favorite place of ours when we go out to eat with the kids. It's low key so we don't mind taking the kids and worrying if they are on their tip top behavior (sorry they are just unpredictable sometimes). They have a nice menu with includes some pub style favorites and a solid drink list as well. Service is reliably fast, mainly because it never seems overwhelmingly busy.

Tomato bruschetta bread - A dish of tomato bruschetta bread is presented on a white rectangular plate. It features toasted bread topped with chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, chopped herbs, and drizzled with balsamic glaze. The plate is placed on a dark wooden table, with a menu and a drink bottle visible in the background. The presentation includes garnishes and a combination of fresh ingredients and condiments.

We've been to Mulligans many times and have never been disappointed. The nachos are amazing, pasta is great, salads are delish.

Good burgers, fried curds were great. Pretzel bites too. Habanero wings are good but you need to like spice to. Enjoy.

It's not pretentious, as you are greeted by the a member of their friendly staff as you enter. There are multiple facets to this venue, so it makes your visit exciting. I wont share any "spoiler's" so when you visit you can experience all the niceties personally. Food is fresh and menu changes occur seasonally. Tonite we only had appetizers but they were both very good. We had the Baked Brie, a puff pastry filled with creamy Brie and a jam dressing. It included a very tasty fruit and nut cracker, sliced apples and Carmel corn nuggets. Great combination of sweet and savory! We also had the Shrimp Cocktail. You get 8 very nice size shrimp, which were nicely chilled (nothing worse than warm shrimp) and cocktail sauce. The shrimp were fresh and meaty, good flavor. The staff is great. Riley did a great job taking care of us. We were also greeted by the owner John, who was visiting and talking with every table of guests. This IMO is a sign of a establishment that wants to insure their patrons are happy and enjoying their experience. We would definitely recommend giving them a try when in Cheboygan or the area.

I like the theme and vibe of the place - the play on bikes and name of the restaurant is perfect. Decor is bike themed but not overly done. Rustic and laid back. Our waitress was excellent - very friendly and attentive. All staff were wearing masks. Good drink menu in addition to food. A lot of small plate options but the portion sizes of the small plates could feed at least 2-4 people. I went with sweet potato fries and steak tender bites - delicious! The dipping sauces for the fries had three different options - sweet/savory, loved trying each one. The sweet potato fries were not mushy and had a good crunch. The steak was cooked to perfection - I asked for medium and I got medium! Everyone seemed happy with their food. Restrooms were downstairs. Nice dining option in the city - only con there was no outdoor seating. Picking up on social media - looks like this place used to be Huron St. Pub & Grill not sure if it was a re-branding or new owners. Either way, I hope Broken Spoke is here to stay on the island!

There's something about being near water that makes a person feel like eating fish. So that's what I got: I ordered the Chippewa Broiled Whitefish, which was served with rice and vegetables. This dish was the way to go! It was light but satisfying, and although the fish is broiled in a white wine and lemon butter sauce, it wasn't too saucy. The fish was just saucy enough. Our table also got the Beer Battered Whitefish & Chips. The fries here are really good! I tasted a little of the battered fish, and it was nicely fried. I don't usually drink sweet, fruity alcoholic beverages, but Pink Pony has a signature drink: the Rum Runner. It's bright pink and frosty. I thought, what the heck! Let's get one. It was just as sweet as I imagined it would be, and it gave me a brain freeze, and it tasted like a liquid SweeTart. I'm glad I tried it, but it's a novelty, and it barely gave me a buzz. This restaurant is very kid-friendly, and they have a pretty large kids' menu, with breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings. My kids got burgers, which come with fries and choice of a beverage. Pink Pony is attached to a hotel (Chippewa Hotel Waterfront), so this kind of serves as the hotel's in-house restaurant, and they serve a sit-down breakfast. There's also a bar, so you can duck in and enjoy a drink. The bar had a TV playing some sort of sport. Of course, there's a Pink Pony gift shop, with all kinds of pink paraphernalia, like sweatshirts that say Pink Pony Club, unicorn stuffed animals, mugs, candles and all kinds of pink things. Don't think you won't walk out of this place without the song "Pink Pony Club" stuck in your head, because you definitely will.

We both had fish, my wife the walleye and me the whitefish. (I had it blackened and it was a couple extra bucks though. I've never seen additional fee for blackened.) BUT nonetheless it was EXTREMELY delicious. They also had a wide variety of craft beers. It was crowded but got in after only about a 5 minute wait. (too cold for the outside seating area). We were in the back by the pool table but wasn't too bad and not too loud so we could carry on a conversation.
