I quite like pink, this is the place for all things pink. Shopping bags, travel mugs or cups, bamboo bags, plastic or rubber pink bags, cloth to shopping bags, cardigans and anything your heart can imagine, they have it. They have Scout bags, super colorful, Vineyard Vines, to so much more. Some of their apparel items reminds me of Lilly Pulitzer style patterns. It's a smaller shop in the hotel and by the bar, but it's packed with fun items.

I came here with a big group and it was very nice. The view, the wait staff -- all very good. We did have some baby strollers and they weren't very accommodating with that just fyi. Highly recommend the fish tacos and the fish dip if you're into that. The sweet potato fries (unphotographed) were also delicious. Skip the wraps and the prime beef sandwich in my opinion. Not special by any means. Ranch was elite here btw!

The place is beautiful. It is located in an island, it has amazing views and it is a hotel and stand alone restaurant. The prices are high as expected to the location and the touristic aspect of it. But the theme is fun and the drinks are good. The food is pretty nice as well and the service is amazing I loved everything about this place

This place is so good, we are there twice in one day! You can't beat the views or the food. Fish Sandwiches for lunch and elevated meals for dinner, the Pink Pony is amazing. Wonderful views of the lake as you can sit right outside if you request it. The service is attentive and the food is delicious! We love Mackinac Island and love the Pink Pony. Make sure to put in a reservation well in advance as the wait times can grow to 2+ hours, but it is worth the wait if you plan ahead!

Honestly, most touristy places like this have super crappy food so we were absolutely pleasantly surprised that this place had such tasty meals! And amazingly, they were served HOT. Yay! We arrived around 5:30 and put our name in on the waitlist. If you're not super picky, just tell them you don't care where you sit and you'll get seated fairly quickly. Otherwise you will probably wait upwards of 45 minutes to an hour. While the music is pretty loud in the bar area, he only plays two or three songs and then you have a decent DJ type scenario, which was perfect. Service was very friendly, I ordered the whitefish tacos and they were excellent! Hubby ordered the surf and turf and was gracious enough to share the grilled white fish with me as well. Athe sauce was a mix of a new Mexican red chili with lemon and was absolutely perfect for this grilled fish. I will crave this for quite some time. While it's pricey, you are paying for the ambience and the fact that you made it to Mackinac island after a long day of travel. They are within a few blocks of the ferry so you can get back to either Saint Ignace or Mackinac city for your evening lodging. We had two entrées, one glass of wine and two beers and total bill was $80 before tip

I was told that I should go here to get a drink and I'm glad I did. There are several bars in town but this one has some character from It's tiny little stage behind the taps with the dancing pink ponies and its signature logo on the brick wall. Lots of beer to choose from around the area. Great service from the bartender and just a lovely place. Check out the gift shop too. I can't comment on the food since I only came for a drink, but it was about a 40 min wait at 4 PM on a Monday holiday. Would definitely come back and try again.

After our tour of Fort Mackinac, this was our first time here with my family of seven including three adults and three young children for lunch. Reservations are not allowed. We were lucky to get a spot on the wait list. The Pink Pony is rated one of America's 10 best restaurants for outdoor dining. The Pink Pony was also rated #1 on Yelp so I was happy. The Pink Pony restaurant is located behind the Chippewa Hotel. The bar is located off the hotel lobby. The restaurant is located behind the hotel overlooking the water. We were seated at a nice table on the upper deck overlooking the water. I started with the Famous Island Rum Runner with a specialty blend of premium rum & tropical juices for $16. I ordered it for an additional $16 or $32 total so that my Rum Runner was served in their iconic Pink Pony souvenir plastic tumbler. I was disappointed that the iconic Pink Pony souvenir plastic tumbler was made of plastic rather than glass. The plastic tumbler was not worth the extra cost. I prefer a glass tumbler. Our waitress Katherine W. arranged a brand new clean plastic tumbler in a Pink Pony branded bag. I didn't have to go to the bathroom to wash my used tumbler. I enjoyed my gourmet patty melt with medium rare grilled ground sirloin smothered with caramelized onions and mushrooms, topped with baby swiss cheese, pickle chips and Dijon mustard spread, served on grilled marble rye bread for $19. I also ended with the Old Nation New England style IPA (6.8%) beer. My total bill was $260 excluding gratuity. Katherine W. served us very well. I would return here again. See my many pics.

Checked all the boxes. The service was great. Everyone from the hostess to our server was very friendly. The dining area was very bright and had a nice view of the waterfront. We had the honey apple flatbread, chicken riggies pasta, roasted beat salad, French onion soup and a chocolate truffle cake for desert. Some of the salads you have the option to make it as a side dish or a full dish. Everything was delicious. We would definitely come back again.

I wouldn't recommend this spot. It ended up being my least favorite dining experience on the island. The food was mediocre, the service just okay, and the atmosphere missed the mark--a mural of pink ponies doesn't exactly create a fun vibe.

Wow what a gorgeous restaurant to eat at! We were able to get outdoor seating and had such an amazing view of the water and docks. The service was super quick and staff were all very friendly. The burger was amazing and we had also ordered appetizers too. Not a place to miss when visiting Mackinaw!

Excellent menu for breakfast. I had eggs Benedict with smoked white fish so good! Prosecco made this a great meal. Service was spot on fast and very friendly. Keeble my server was amazing! This was dining on the water great views.

Beet Salad w/ Chicken

My family came here for lunch, after waiting only 25 minutes, and were not disappointed! The menu had a lot of great options to choose from and while nothing was extremely unique, everything we got was incredibly well done. The beet salad was packed with beets and chicken. We were all very happy to sit outside on the deck and look out to the water. The only issue was once we received our food, it was kind of hard to track down our server for random needs (a dropped fork, bill, etc.). Overall we'd go back just for the sweet potato fries alone!

Went here before we got married and loved everything about the place! Wait was a little long, but it was right at lunchtime. Place was busy and bustling. The food tasted great and our server was sweet and helpful! Cute decor and indoors as well as outdoors!

Ask the Community - Pink Pony

Do they allow dogs on their patio?

I believe the answer is no, because you have to enter the establishment to go to the patio. Because this is a food and beverage establishment, I would tend to think the answer is no, as this being a public health issue. I could be wrong.

We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairings to celebrate our anniversary. The service was excellent and the food was good, but it felt a bit like someone was trying to replicate "fine dining" without actually being fine dining. Don't get me wrong, the food was very good, but the presentation often felt like it was trying too hard for what it was. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable--Lawrence, our server, was wonderfully attentive and made us feel so welcomed. We started with the brioche pull-apart bread and jumbo shrimp cocktail--both fresh and flavorful. The beetroot salad was an absolute standout--beautifully balanced and bursting with flavor. For entrees, I had the local lake trout, which was perfectly cooked and delicately seasoned. My husband declared the baked cod the best he's ever had, and my son devoured his chicken fricassée. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, dessert arrived. The warm apple strudel and the Grand Pecan Ball were both over the top--a sweet, satisfying end to an exceptional meal. Take your time, relax, and savor every bite. The Woods is without a doubt a must-have dinner spot when visiting Mackinac Island.

I had to look at my photos in order to remember our meal. That's not to say it was bad. Not at all! Just that the only thing I remember is that the prices are slightly higher than I think they should be. (Although, that seems to be the case at every restaurant on Mackinac Island. They have you trapped, and they know it.) We started with the smoked whitefish dip, which is a popular thing in this part of Michigan. It came piping hot with melted cheese on it, and served with crispy pita chips and crostini. I'm glad I tried it! I love me a good meatloaf sandwich, so when I saw meatloaf sliders in the menu, I had to get them. These sliders are made with pretzel buns, which are not my favorite because I feel like they're never soft enough. A nice white bun would have been so much better. I got a side Caesar salad, and it was fine. We also ordered a chicken tenders basket, the Low Carb Platter (just a cheeseburger without a bun and a side of cottage cheese), and a kids' cheeseburger. They do have a kids menu here -- just ask. Millie's gets very busy! We had to wait almost 30 minutes for a table. But it's centrally located in the middle of downtown Mackinac, so I wouldn't expect anything less.

A great spot, located right where visitors board for the public carriage tours! We stopped in around 12pm and by the time we left, every table was filled. Our party enjoyed a beautiful kale salmon salad, delicious and slightly spicy whitefish tacos with mango salsa, and a pasty with coleslaw and gravy. If I were to go there again, I would definitely get the pasty, hands down.

We arrived early and were greeted pleasantly and were told to have a seat in the lounge so we did the restaurant was less than 1/4 full. We were handed 3 menus one was an appetizer menu. After waiting for some time and standing at the bar we were told we could only order drinks. So we went with it. At 7:28 I went back to the host stand where I where I waited for about 5 minutes finally the hostess reappeared and had no idea. So she seated us in the nose bleed section instead of offering us one of the really nice views. Then the real fun started... nothing for my 8 year old son. We were told we can't do anything for kids the suggestion was crab legs (wow). So he ordered a "Chianti signature Caesar" thinking it's pretty hard to mess up a Caesar Salad (was I wrong). It was dried out and the very bottom of the Roman almost at the base, if not the base. The dressing lacked flavor. On top of that the waiter never asked my son what he wanted to drink. My wife had the beet salad and she said it was good. When seated the waiter told us about the chef parring and I was kinda excited to try a few different things. When I went to order the chef's paring I was told the whole table had to do so. Even though I was told everything was fresh and prepared in house. The waiter pointed to the menu and it was presented differently from the menu which seemed a little sketchy especially for $125 per person. So to be clear if your whole table orders the chef's tasting you're good. If not, no bueno. The main courses were good. The sea bass was really good. The dry aged steak was well seasoned and even though I like things a little more rare some spots were purple. My son got the wagyu which was ordered medium and was closer to rare. The potatoes were amazing and so was the sauce. All and all 1/2 the servers were good and came to check on us. The main courses beef and sea bass and beet salad were pretty tasty and good. Prices aren't terrible for a tourist trap. The GM kept checking on us. In the end we got 2 desserts the apple and the opera cake both were outstanding. The had a piano player was excellent and made for a nice ambience. I think there were some really new people that weren't really sure on what to do or about customer service. The Bartender seemed very frustrated, almost like it was his first night. The hostess was completely lost and in over her head. For a high-end restaurant and very few customers this place should've ran like a well oiled sewing machine.

A minor complaint: the dining room is VAST with high ceilings and a mezzanine of circulation from the main hotel, so a lot of people pass by and look down on the dining area, creating a less than intimate feel for a fine dining meal.
