Could have been a great place from what I saw online. Instead it was anything but great. First, I called when they first opened and asked if reservations were needed for a party of 10. The person answering the phone seemed annoyed and not interested. They sharply answer no. I followed up with a question about how late they are open, since we might be going later in the evening. Again, a sharp response. We disconnected after that. This was clue number one. In the evening we arrived around 5:30. Not a single car was in the parking lot. That should have been clue number two. We asked where they would like a party of ten. They pointed said push table together wherever. Then mentioned, oh we have a modified menu. A list of about 10-15 items that were all deep fried only. We had picked this place due to their variety of items. This is something that 100% should have been told to us on the phone. Don't worry, we decided to go to another place for dinner after some of the members in our group did not want fried food. Only reason this is not a 1 star is I think the name is clever. Outside that. Poor customer service both over the phone and in house. I recommend avoiding. read more

This place was just as good as all the reviews told me it was going to be. The only problem I had was the menu that was listed on Yelp was way cheaper than it actually is now. The food and service were both great. The outside is a little sketchy looking but it was fine once we got inside. I added some updated pictures of the menus with newer pricing. read more

If you're a dive bar fan, this place is for you. Nothing special about the exterior, interior is a long bar and locals chatting and greeting others. The food was very good, we ate a pastrami Rueben and taco salad. Beer selection with several on tap options. Service was friendly and fast. $35 for sandwich, salad, 1 Diet Coke and 2 beers. Super friendly servers, knowledgeable bar tender and good food. I chose to eat here after reading all of the rave reviews of their burgers but I also had a hankering for wings so I got both. The burger was pretty good, but cooked more well done than the medium rare that I requested. It could have used a little salt and pepper. Other than that, it was a good bar burger. The wings really shined bright! They are the best that I've had in northern Michigan and I will come back just for those. The cheese curd appetizer was also very good and plentiful. We love a good dive bar and this place did not disappoint! We had just arrived in the area in our rv, dropped it at Mill River Campground, and were starving. When we first pulled up, we weren't even sure the place was open. But we opened the door and were greeted warmly by the bartender/waitress. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and my husband ordered a hamburger. We were positioned at the bar where we could see the cook prepare the meal and it was delicious! Love this little bar and grill! It's quite unassuming, but the sign next to the bar says "Where the locals Rule". You'd expect that from an unassuming joint. The menu is short but fairly diverse. I enjoyed the Philly Style Reuben. Which was delicious, with chunks of corned beef not fatty strips. I recommend eating it with a fork. Then there's taco Tuesday. The place was packed. That's all I need to say about that. I'll be back to try their shrimp Po Boy. There aren't many places I know in Michigan that serve Po Boys. So I'm intrigued. Don't get me wrong, this is more of a small watering hole for the locals, but holy cow, what a cool little find to have such a sweet menu. So, the food is delicious and not of your garden variety greasy fried bar food. The staff is very friendly, and makes it pleasure to come enjoy a tasty meal and forget the day's stress. What a great place to eat in Cheboygan, MI. We enjoyed buffalo chicken salad which wasn't on the menu but the chef made it for us. The salad was large and covered in lots of chicken and bleu cheese. This place is amazing. Although I'm a recent local, this is my first visit to this place. Not only are the workers awesome, but their friendly nature seems to rub off on the customers. Get your bearings together ...where did you think you were entering, it's a "BAR" not a Michelin star restaurant catering to QUIET family dinning! Its about kicking back and enjoying a few beers & having some fun! However, in my mind ANY family could dine here and have a great experience, as long as you realize it's a BAR!! Secondly, why would you ding the business for a group that got a little loud, how the hell is that fair!? Disregard this review as the food is quite good not to mention the patrons are "friendly local residents." This place is delivering SOLID tasty burgers & wings!! For a small town BAR they really care about their service & food and it shows! My wife and I had an excellent lunch, they checked on us at least 4 times, service was perfect! A typical small town bar, typical crowd.... Exceptional food and service! The special they run on Monday is coneys, Wednesday 50-cent wings (great for lunch), Thursday happy hour all day and Friday fish fry. It's the kind of place to watch sports and unwind after work. Good selection of local beer. We enjoyed the coney dogs and onion rings. The bartender was friendly and the service was fast. They have a great idea I haven't seen before. We came through with a large group including two toddlers for dinner. We were all so happy and impressed with the food and service. It may be a small place, but they definitely are worth a visit. My sister said the Cali Style Reuben was the best she's ever had. The wing sauces were delicious and unique. The inside was clean and all of the employees were friendly and accommodating, even for our large group with children. There were several locals inside and we took this as a great sign. Came here for dinner with my husband and son while we were passing through. Came on a Wednesday when they had 50 cent wings, regular or boneless. We got boneless in the garlic Parmesan dry rub, bourbon sauce, and bbq sauce. All were good, not spicy just flavorful which is our preference. Also got fries.
