    Siren beer and classic fish.

Lot of poor reviews on this place and I don't get why. Beautiful lighthouse off the patio, TVs everywhere, the fish was amazing. 4 stars because the service was slow but as long as you're not in a rush, great vibes. Will be back

    Lobster Mac & Cheese

The lobster Mac & cheese is delicious! And there are great gifts in the gift shop on the way out

Thin slice of turkey with cold cheese. The bacon taken from the cold fridge still has white grease on it no attempt to warm up.

Wife, I and family have been coming to the Mackinac Grill for 26 years. We did multiple stops with our kids, in-laws through out those 26 years and we always enjoyed the salad bar located in the train but the salad bar is no longer now it's a souvenir shop. The special is what I ordered on this stop it was a turkey bacon croissant for $13.95. The turkey was from a store bought package it was one very thin piece it didn't even fill the croissant, the cold Swiss cheese was thicker than the one slice of turkey and the bacon was one slice broke into two pieces pulled from the cold fridge and put on the croissant, the bacon had cold white grease on it. Horrible, I'd think the cook would be embarrassed to send something out of the kitchen to be served like this but that wasn't the case today. I did send back they did replace but it was just ok, at least it was warm the second go around. Wife order a whitefish hoagie for $18.95 it was one small slice of fish on each bun no cheese, no coleslaw an absolutely horrible display of what their so called whitefish hoagie is. Although we will miss Ronnie who is a server and a staple at the Grille wife and I have decided there are too many other places to eat at in St. Ignace so that will definitely be our last time visiting the Mackinac Grille.

Service was good at this restaurant but all of the food was very greasy. It's hard to screw up a grilled cheese but all the ingredients seemed low quality. It is still very busy due to the location but I would avoid it if you can.

We went here on a Sunday evening and were happy to see all the cars in the lot. Unfortunately it must have been because they were one of the few restaurants open. Smoked whitefish dip (out). Deep fried dill pickles for an appetizer were average. Deep fried white fish were overcooked with the smallest baked potato ever. Lobster was still frozen in the Mac and cheese. Mackinaw breeze drinks were warm. "Caribbean slow" service. The best things were the garlic bread and the view from the patio. I was able to finish most of the fish. We tried warming up the lobster Mac later in the microwave. That was unsuccessful and in the trash it went. I definitely would find another place for dinner or even drinks.

Great food. Good service. Reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere, including waterfront dining. My dining partner and I both had the whitefish chowder. I had the grilled shrimp with butter and garlic, steak fries, and coleslaw. My dining partner had a beef pastie with gravy that was a huge portion. She took care of it to go and had it the next day.

Stopped in after a long drive through Michigan; I had a burger and fries, my wife had a salad, and it was good. Affordable prices as well.

I had to look at my photos in order to remember our meal. That's not to say it was bad. Not at all! Just that the only thing I remember is that the prices are slightly higher than I think they should be. (Although, that seems to be the case at every restaurant on Mackinac Island. They have you trapped, and they know it.) We started with the smoked whitefish dip, which is a popular thing in this part of Michigan. It came piping hot with melted cheese on it, and served with crispy pita chips and crostini. I'm glad I tried it! I love me a good meatloaf sandwich, so when I saw meatloaf sliders in the menu, I had to get them. These sliders are made with pretzel buns, which are not my favorite because I feel like they're never soft enough. A nice white bun would have been so much better. I got a side Caesar salad, and it was fine. We also ordered a chicken tenders basket, the Low Carb Platter (just a cheeseburger without a bun and a side of cottage cheese), and a kids' cheeseburger. They do have a kids menu here -- just ask. Millie's gets very busy! We had to wait almost 30 minutes for a table. But it's centrally located in the middle of downtown Mackinac, so I wouldn't expect anything less.

We checked out Millie's on Main for lunch at the recommendation of a staff member (and year-round…read moreresident) at Hotel Iroquois. A great spot, located right where visitors board for the public carriage tours! We stopped in around 12pm and by the time we left, every table was filled. Our party enjoyed a beautiful kale salmon salad, delicious and slightly spicy whitefish tacos with mango salsa, and a pasty with coleslaw and gravy. If I were to go there again, I would definitely get the pasty, hands down.

There's something about being near water that makes a person feel like eating fish. So that's what I got: I ordered the Chippewa Broiled Whitefish, which was served with rice and vegetables. This dish was the way to go! It was light but satisfying, and although the fish is broiled in a white wine and lemon butter sauce, it wasn't too saucy. The fish was just saucy enough. Our table also got the Beer Battered Whitefish & Chips. The fries here are really good! I tasted a little of the battered fish, and it was nicely fried. I don't usually drink sweet, fruity alcoholic beverages, but Pink Pony has a signature drink: the Rum Runner. It's bright pink and frosty. I thought, what the heck! Let's get one. It was just as sweet as I imagined it would be, and it gave me a brain freeze, and it tasted like a liquid SweeTart. I'm glad I tried it, but it's a novelty, and it barely gave me a buzz. This restaurant is very kid-friendly, and they have a pretty large kids' menu, with breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings. My kids got burgers, which come with fries and choice of a beverage. Pink Pony is attached to a hotel (Chippewa Hotel Waterfront), so this kind of serves as the hotel's in-house restaurant, and they serve a sit-down breakfast. There's also a bar, so you can duck in and enjoy a drink. The bar had a TV playing some sort of sport. Of course, there's a Pink Pony gift shop, with all kinds of pink paraphernalia, like sweatshirts that say Pink Pony Club, unicorn stuffed animals, mugs, candles and all kinds of pink things. Don't think you won't walk out of this place without the song "Pink Pony Club" stuck in your head, because you definitely will.

I just wanted a little (big) glass of red wine and something sweet to cap off the night, and I left satisfied. Key lime pie was the special dessert of the day, so that's what I got. I can't pass up a special dessert that's here today, but might be gone tomorrow. The kitchen didn't just give me a slice of pie: They dusted my plate with powdered sugar in the shape of a horse! It's these little touches that make all the difference, and you can tell that they're not horsing around here. (Or maybe they are?) My glass of Cabernet was great, and I was told that the beer was great, too. They were very busy, considering it was the end of the season. Nevertheless, we got a seat right away, and the service was great. If you visit Seabiscuit Cafe during the evening, you'll see that it's a cozy little spot with dim lighting, where you can relax and have a meal (or just drinks and dessert, like me).

They were able to seat us right away, but wasn't a fan of the seating arrangements: booth seating for eight persons including two seniors with mobility issues. It was especially cold in the corner and the TV was right above us! I kept thinking the TV would come down on us and what a safety risk it was. Also, it was super cold inside especially where we were seated. We asked for some hot water and had to follow up on it since I think our waitress forgot. Seating aside the food was quite good. They have a decent selection of signature cocktails to choose from. Portion sizes were generous and easily shareable between two persons (sensing a trend here in Michigan). I enjoyed the Crab Louie salad and the sweet potato fries. In summary, the seating arrangements could've been better, but the food and drink made up for it.
