We just had the most unpleasant experience at the Lorton Burger King. We've been frequenting this location for years, but tonight we had an experience like never before. While waiting at the speaker to place an order, we waited an unusually long time --10 minutes. We saw an individual look out the window several times, but no one came on the line to take an order. We pulled up to the window to inquire if we should place our order there. The person slammed the window open and said "What?" We were a little taken aback and explained that there was nobody taking orders at the speaker and his response was "What do you want? I'll do it here." His manner was belligerent and impatient. We indicated that we had a coupon and he started yelling at us. "Where is it? What's the number?" We provided the four digit code, but he insisted he wanted to see the physical copy. That's fine, however, over the last two years, we always have just provided the four digit code. We had the paper coupon but didn't get as far as handing it through the window bc he literally started shouting at us. Shouting. SHOUTING. He yelled "Goodbye", slammed the window shut and turned his back. We waited until he finally reopened the window and asked for his name. His response was "What, so you can file a complaint? No way, I'm not giving you my name." We said yes, in fact we do want to file a complaint, and he said "I'm not giving it to you." We waited and waited, and when somebody pulled up behind us, he finally opened the window and said "My name is Jose", when clearly it was not. This person was a man in his late 20s-early 30s, thin hair to bald, wearing a lighter jacket than the other employees, and he said he was the manager. We've never met such a combative person at a restaurant or food place. The reception was unexpectedly angry and aggressive, completely out of left field, when all we wanted to do was purchase a couple of meals. Seriously, Lorton is finally starting to bring in other fast food options like Popeyes, Five Guys and Jersey Mikes at Lorton Valley, as well as Panera, Chipotle, and Kung Fu Tea over on Lorton Market Street. This is the dirtiest location ever witnessed to anyone. You're talkinganagement hiring young kids to do work for dirt cheap. No oversight. It shows. The place is dirty. No one is serious. I ordered through the app on a Saturday night around 1 AM, this Burger King advertises that they are open 24/7 through the drive thru. The app took my money, I show up at BK and no one is there. I called the number on the window, which is to the franchise company Toms King, I left a message and went home. I receive a call at 6:30 AM on Tuesday morning, someone from the BK left a message saying for me to call them so we can get this squared away. I call them back Wednesday morning, the manager says "what did you order?", I said a double whopper, she goes "want another one? Come in now", it's 9:00 in the morning. She then asked if i wanted fries, I said sure, she says "was it the meal?" I said no, I just ordered a double whopper, so she yells to someone in the kitchen to make the food and she hangs up on me. I show up, all that is in my bag is a double whopper. I don't care about free fries, I just don't like how they handled a situation where they were at fault. I should have been reimbursed first and foremost, then offered what I wanted due to having to drive back up here. We have been here before without issue but tonight was a disaster. We waited in the drive-thru for about 10 minutes before we got to the window. Someone told us they would be with us in a minute; 10 minutes later nobody had taken our order and we were trapped by cars behind us, so we ordered on the mobile app. When we finally got to the window, they asked us 3 times over the next 13 minutes what our order number was- we showed them our receipt and they still seemed baffled. They finally gave us our food 30 minutes after we arrived! NOT fast food. The manager could give us no explanation for the general incompetence of his staff. Crappy service, dirty dining area, god awful restrooms, don't know what else to say. Been there twice on a weekend to get some breakfast, showed up right before the 10:30am cut off time for breakfast and they refused to serve me breakfast stuff. Courteous employees but horrible food. Super dry double burger that felt like I was eating sandpaper. One bite felt like I was biting down on a bone. The Side Salad was not fresh with partly wilted lettuce leaves and old tomato slices. The order was delivered without utensils and the salad dressing. Most disappointing meal, bad advertisement for Burger King. The bathroom was wet with toilet paper on the floor. Not exactly sure why everyone is complaining. It's a fast food restaurant; Them being quick has nothing to do with being rude. they have other orders to take care of so they can't be just focused on you. The items are made and only held for 10-20 minutes on ready rack before being thrown away so nothing should be cold. Besides the catch phrase "have it your way" seems to attract more of the snooty, dumb customers that either ask for the impossible or get impatient when what you request is going to take a while. For example, you see the sign says flame broiled, so why do you ask for the cheese to be melted on the burger itself?? If you did get something wrong just say "Hey, I ordered ______, but got this instead. Here's my receipt. Can you change that please? I have been here a few times, yesterday I went by for lunch. I ordered 3 hamburgers and 2 drinks. They repeated my order back to me correctly. When I was given my food I got 3 hamburgers 1 drink and 1 fry. I informed the employee I needed another drink, she said I had to give her back the fry then. So I did. Earlier I had been working on a tractor that was broken down in a field of hourse poo, my hands were vary durty and greasy. The only way to grab the fry's was to grab them from the top, because of how they were position in the bag. My hand definitely touched the fry's.
