This is a solid Jersey Mike's. Came here for lunch today and we ordered a tuna bowl and chicken Philly sandwich. The staff were hard working, enthusiastic and the food was prepared well and was delicious. I was impressed how quickly the hot sub was ready - at some other Jersey Mikes, I hesitate ordering a hot sub because it seems to take a long time. The place is clean and well lit. The restroom was clean, too! As we were eating, we heard other customers online having friendly chit-chat with the Staff (I think one person is the new owner). Seems like a friendly place to get a good sandwich or bowl. We don't come to the area much, so we won't be regulars. But if we did live nearby, I think we would be. read more

This store just got taken over by new ownership and has been revitalized. It was clean and looked great. Our sandwiches were fresh and delicious AND we met the famous Donnie ("That Crazy Sub Guy"). Terrible experience will not go back. My order was supposed to be ready at 12:04 and i didn't walk out with my order until 12:17. This means it took 30 minutes to make two cold subs (I ordered around 11:45am). This is really inefficient service. Also the employees seemed confused and not able to handle what was going on. I am not sure there was a manager on duty or anyone to help guide them. Better management is needed in this shop. I am sure I will choose another lunch shop if this one is so inefficient. read more

The food is good, as should be expected from those who are fans of Jersey Mikes. But the change is the speed and proficiency of service. I've come twice now since the new owners took over. Not only are they friendly as soon as you walk in, the line is fast and the food is exactly how you ask for it. I've been a loyal Jersey Mike's customer for years and have visited many different locations--but the Lorton location is by far the worst. No matter how clearly I specify my toppings through the app, they always manage to mess up my order. It's incredibly frustrating, especially when you take the time to customize everything and still end up with a sandwich that's nothing like what you asked for. They were a fast food sandwich was great until they started using cheapcold cuts you can read the newspaper with one slice that's how thin was the slice? Lazy staff members. The store is scheduled to close at 9:00pm. I went three different times (8:30pm, 8:45pm, and 8:50pm) before closing and the employees locked the door. I tried to go after my daughter's HS sports game all three times and they closed the store early each time. Two of the times other potential customers were there with me and were frustrated as well. The time I went at 8:30pm, there were three workers sitting at a table inside socializing and the "Open" sign was still on. When I knocked on the door, one of the guys just waved his hands to go away. The owner should do a better job of screening employees or checking on their lack of service. I will not go to this location any longer and go to the one on Ox Road (few miles away) where the employees are friendly and actually want to work. read more

I walked in around 5:15pm and nobody greeted me. The two young kids just kept talking to each other. Finally someone just says, "what can I get you?" I tried to say, "hello, how are you?" Trash was over flowing and bathrooms were very unsanitary. The flat top grill was nasty so I ended up walking out. I've been here twice. The first time around 8:00pm and nothing but teens working. Some were behind the counter without uniforms and cooking. I had no idea they worked there. The bread was so hard it was crumbly. Don't get me started on how my sandwich was cut. Since that was my first going there, I didn't pay too much to it. The second time I went was June 27,2025. I ordered online for a 7:12 pick up. At the time of this post, it's 7:23 and they haven't even started my order. One teen behind the counter, he asked the other one for help, who clearly was off since he was sitting at table with his work shirt off on his phone. Tables weren't cleaned off This location needs help. I normally go to the one on Richmond highway but this location is much closer to where I live. An adult manger needs to be there. The service at this location is very "Hit or Miss". We love the chain and tried this one for dinner last week and the didn't read the order in its' entirety at all. They didn't apply the "Mike's Way" to one of our sandwiches. Therefore, it was extremely dry. The didn't put my crush red peppers on the side so one of my sandwiches was soggy. In this age of intense mediocrity, my expectations have become attenuated for just about everything. This is why I rarely write reviews anymore. However, sometimes I run across a place so bad, I just can't help myself. If you were ever wondering what the fast food world would be like if the soviets had won the cold war, look no further than Jersey Mike's at Lorton Market Street. From the cold, hopeless, empty-eyed stares of the meandering staff, to the disastrous experience of a kitchen gone horribly wrong, this place has it all. I showed up in the middle of the lunch "rush" around 12:30PM on a Thursday, and there was 2 other customers present. When the staff occasionally decided it was time to work on my simple single sandwich order, which got stalled numerous times, my food was unceremoniously smashed together in such a haphazard fashion that half of the ingredients were actually outside of the sandwich! Perhaps they thought I needed a side salad? Once the sandwich-crafting ordeal was complete, I walked over to the register which was manned by another mouth-breathing, empty-eyed drone who was literally doing nothing but staring off into the distance. After standing there for a couple minutes, I finally had to ask, "Sir, would you mind terribly if I paid for my order, such that I may one day leave this place and perhaps even consume my food?" He finally rung me up, and I quickly got out of there. Oh, and the sandwich was terrible. Seriously, how do you mess up an Italian sandwich?? If you find yourself craving a quick sandwich for lunch, you would be better off going to a gas station, dowsing yourself with $5.99/gallon gas, and lighting yourself on fire. I visited this location for dinner and was immediately put off by the uncleanliness of the space- dirty tables and the floor needed to be swept. There were two young staff members on shift who seemed to be goofing off. I was not greeted when I came in. One of them stood around while I waited in line for several minutes. They continued to play around and ignore me. After finally being acknowledged, I was addressed very unprofessionally. I told him my order and he proceeded to jokingly repeat my order to his coworker. He did not write down my order or ring me up, slice bread, nothing. He just stood there. And then he spun around and started working on the grill alongside the other employee. They were only paying attention to each other and did not turn around so I knew my order (a cheesesteak, which you have to wait a little time for anyways) would take forever so I left and went to a different restaurant. Hi, posting here to rebut content in the review that was posted on Apr 5 by the female customer complaining about her sandwich. My spouse and I had just finished a quiet kayak paddle on Pohick Bay and thought it would be good to get a quick lunch before getting back to our usual afternoon things. We were the only customers in the store when a young boy came in, not behaving confidently what he needed to do when the employees told him there was no order for him to pick up. The employees asked if it was for a delivery service (Door Dash? Something like that.). He left and came back a minute or two later with a woman (his mom) following him. We didn't pay attention to the conversation at first, but then she began raising her voice, insulting the employees. That got our attention. I think she used the term "You messed up my order" at least 4 times, not being satisfied to drill home the first time an error had been made the day before. It also wasn't clear if these two employees were actually on shift the day before when the offending sandwich was made. Regardless, there were raised voices on the part of both females, but honestly, the employee couldn't really be faulted. The customer was being really obnoxious and entitled-behaving. At some point, I noticed the ombre dyed pony tail under the black and gold Trump ball cap, and when we left, we noticed her black Tesla parked right outside the door of the shop...couldn't be bothered to park her car in a proper parking spot, but had to park it in the fire lane to come in and argue with minimum wage employees about a $6.00 sandwich. Also, there was nothing about her appearance that indicated she was not well, other than her poor behavior. She was very well nourished and had no outward signs of illness. The female employee was emphatic and emotional, yes, but not an animal or a monster. She did not threaten to beat the customer. The female customer set the entire scenario up by using abusive language and being arrogant to the employees. SMH. VERY DANGEROUS STORE. This was the worst service I ever encountered in my life. My son picked up the correct bag and this was the second time they messed up the order. They put a completely different sandwich in the bag. First she said my son said door dash and got the wrong bag. I own a business, you never argue with the customer. My son didn't say DoorDash. He's only 10.... I called my father to get the photo to make sure my son got the right bag. He did. When I tried showing her so they can make the sandwich, she got upset , bickered and walked away. In the meantime someone else was trying to make the sandwich. She ends up walking back but just standing in the background ignoring my refund requests and silent treatment so not sure why she walked back. The other employee is trying to help me start the refund so I'm explaining to my son in my language that she's argumentative and upset and we should just forget abt it because she was yelling and let's go to another place to eat and apologized to him that he won't get the sub. she then said learn English. She's clearly in the background, not in front of us,and I'm clearly looking at my son , if I'm talking in my language, I'm obviously having a conversation with him abt what to do. In a country like America, she dared to pull that card. And in front of my son.. When I spoke up for myself to tell her that's wrong to say , she started threatening to beat me in front of my son and said she will clock out and do it. I asked her again, u would really do that, that's ghetto. She said she's very ghetto and she will hurt me bad. Keep in mind. I'm starting chemotherapy in a week and had my hat on. U can visibly tell I'm not well. She acted like an animal. A complete monster. I never met an employee so unprofessional. I had to call 911 because she was getting read to clock out and do what she said. the officer said he has had too many incidents at this same shop & it's not safe anymore and I should avoid it. She refused to give her name but all I know is that it's a black female, height 5'7 medium built. If u see her, RUN. She is a horrible human. I didn't even say half the things she said. Just the main trigger abt abuse and my language. She saw im calling police & stopped and denied to the cops she ever threatened me so she obviously already has a criminal record. read more

I stopped in here on 6-27-2022 after coming from the UPS Store. It was my first time trying it out. I was very pleased! The server was "Shift." Hey, I just put whatever name is listed on my receipt. I ordered a large sub sandwich. The bread was soft and fresh. The meat was fresh. The fixings - lettuce and tomato - were fresh too. I had a little oil and vinegar and some salt and pepper added to taste. I got it to go because I had other things to do yet that day. I found the prices a little steep but I was hungry. I ordered a sub on line on 1/1/2023 got an email that it was ready for pickup was there at the pickup time 6:24 and the place was locked dark and the open sign was on but noone was there. I would not recommend ordering on-line at this location. There is another Jersey Mikes in Lorton on Ox road i went there and order my sub and paid for it. I told them what happened and they said that happens alot that people come in and say the store was closed. It is a separate franchise so they were not able to help. I went here the other day and I ordered in store. The staff has horrible communication skills and push it a little too far. They were talking to me but in a aggressive manner. The manager checked me out and she was very spaced out. Also I found hair in my food (long red hair//maybe they need hair nets)... definitely would NOT recommend this location. Unless you wanna be harassed the whole way down the line. 0/10 and my sub was skimpy compared to other locations near by....yeah definitely wouldn't recommend.
