If I could give this 0 stars, I would. Where do I even start? We placed our order on the mobile app, hoping it would prevent issues of getting the wrong food. It had been a long day, and our family was just hungry. This Burger King was next door to our hotel (we could literally see it from our room), so we decided we'd give it a try so we didn't have to drive 15 minutes further to the only drive thru open at the time. (Spoiler: we ended up making the drive even later anyhow.) We downloaded the app since the website wasn't working and wouldn't complete our order, then placed our order from the parking lot of the restaurant. As soon as we placed our order, we followed the instructions to receive it. There were no other customers at the time, and our meals were fairly straight forward, so we were surprised when we ended up waiting for a longer time than one would expect for fast food, but assumed it was because they were cooking the food fresh. Wrong again. They brought our order out to us after telling us to wait in the parking lot, and when we got the order, we immediately noticed that we were missing one drink, two ice creams, and a cookie pie. We let the worker know before he even walked away, and he told us he'd be back. He didn't come back. My husband ended up going in to ask where the food was, and the clerk told us "oh! We also didn't give you your chicken sandwich!" We were then informed that they couldn't give us the ice cream we had ordered and threw two Hershey sundae pies in a bag, and said "you can have these instead. We're out of cookie pies so we will refund you for that." (Second spoiler alert: we never got the refund.) Our kids don't eat pies. That's why they ordered ice cream. But they are good sports and were exhausted so they tried them only to discover they were completely frozen in the middle and filled with ice crystals. We got back to the hotel room (once again, literally across the street), and realized that the only edible food in the whole order was the one order of mozzarella sticks and the drinks. The buns were stale (to the point that they were crusty on the outside). The veggies were soggy. The meat on all the sandwiches was ice cold. The fries were stale, and the onion rings in the halvsies order were soggy. There was absolutely no redeeming quality to this meal, especially given the outrageous cost of it. In fact, it was so terrible that we ended up driving 30 minutes round trip to another company's fast food restaurant to spend even more money just so we could have dinner. (That one was just fine, so kudos to them.) I placed a customer complaint that night and have waited a week to hear back with a final resolution. A week. And all I was told was that we could be given a coupon since we had just created the account for the mobile app, making us ineligible for a refund. What kind of policy is that? To punish new app users by giving them awful service? We never got the refund for the item we were told would be refunded, AND we didn't even get to eat the food we spent $50 on. (I can't even fathom that fact that I pretty much threw $50 away on food that wouldn't have been worth it even at its peak, much less in the shape we received it.) No, Burger King, I do not want a coupon for $20, because I never want to step foot in any of your not-so-fine dining establishments. Anyhow, TLDR: crappy food. Missing food. Ridiculous prices. Terrible restaurant staff. But even worse, a corporation that couldn't care less about customers. Because why would they? Burger King doesn't need your money apparently, and they definitely don't even need to provide the food that you paid for. The real bummer is that we were excited to eat at BK after years of not being able to afford it. Jokes on us, I guess. Burger King, drop the slogan. Last night we placed an Uber Eats order from this Burger King location. Our ENTIRE order was wrong when we got it. One Whopper was ordered with no lettuce or onions, it came with lettuce and onions. The other Whopper was no ketchup, no tomatoes, Swiss cheese instead of American. It arrived with no ketchup or tomatoes (good), American cheese, and bacon for some reason. The Oreo shake we ordered arrived as a large Sprite. After reading the other reviews here it seems realistic to assume that the employees absolutely could not care less about doing their jobs correctly, and in fact they may screw up orders on purpose just for fun. There aren't very many Burger Kings nearby so it's too bad the franchisee doesn't care about making money, because they could be making a lot more with literally minimal effort. read more

I had not been to this location in a few years and it is markedly improved from last time. I ordered a Whopper Jr. Meal. I was pleasantly reminded to add cheese. The burger was very fresh, offering stiff competition to McDonald's Deluxe Quarter Pounder. Burger King fries have improved greatly. I was pleased that the offered Coke Zero. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and large coffee through their App, When the app indicated that it was ready, I went in to pick it up. They said that coffee was not available. When I asked for a refund of what I paid for the coffee, they claimed that they could not do it, since the order came through their app. So requested an item of comparable value (like tater tots), they would not do that either. This location is an absolute last resort for late night eating near our house. The storm is hitting the area and in an attempt to get my kids dinner I had an experince that would have me make the decision to go to bed hungry before I ever come here again. Absolutely terrible service. I understand fast food jobs are hard and often very demanding but it's not my fault you hate your job. The drive through employees are often extremely soft spoken. Meaning unintelligible. I pulled of to the speaker and head someone say something but couldn't understand I said "sorry I didn't hear that ?" They say something again super hushed and unintelligible. We just had the most unpleasant experience at the Lorton Burger King. We've been frequenting this location for years, but tonight we had an experience like never before. While waiting at the speaker to place an order, we waited an unusually long time --10 minutes. We saw an individual look out the window several times, but no one came on the line to take an order. We pulled up to the window to inquire if we should place our order there. The person slammed the window open and said "What?" We were a little taken aback and explained that there was nobody taking orders at the speaker and his response was "What do you want? I'll do it here." His manner was belligerent and impatient. We indicated that we had a coupon and he started yelling at us. "Where is it? What's the number?" We provided the four digit code, but he insisted he wanted to see the physical copy. That's fine, however, over the last two years, we always have just provided the four digit code. We had the paper coupon but didn't get as far as handing it through the window bc he literally started shouting at us. Shouting. SHOUTING. He yelled "Goodbye", slammed the window shut and turned his back. We waited until he finally reopened the window and asked for his name. His response was "What, so you can file a complaint? No way, I'm not giving you my name." We said yes, in fact we do want to file a complaint, and he said "I'm not giving it to you." We waited and waited, and when somebody pulled up behind us, he finally opened the window and said "My name is Jose", when clearly it was not. This person was a man in his late 20s-early 30s, thin hair to bald, wearing a lighter jacket than the other employees, and he said he was the manager. We've never met such a combative person at a restaurant or food place. The reception was unexpectedly angry and aggressive, completely out of left field, when all we wanted to do was purchase a couple of meals. Seriously, Lorton is finally starting to bring in other fast food options like Popeyes, Five Guys and Jersey Mikes at Lorton Valley, as well as Panera, Chipotle, and Kung Fu Tea over on Lorton Market Street.
