This is the food YOU LONG for..... Every thing on the menu is SUPERB!!!! UNFORTUNATELY...... Half the time you attempt to call in your order for pick up, without any reason or explanation, they are not accepting call in orders. They tell you to come in (and wait 20 minutes) or come through the drive thru (where the people in front of you are waiting 20 mins for THEIR order). Other times when you attempt to call back and inquire about anything, you are instructed to place your order online, yet when you attempt this WONDERFUL option, it informs you "online ordering is currently unavailable". Are they throwing a party in the walk in or what???? If you are patient and have the extra time to waste (or I suspect the cash to pay for beverages in the lobby) and wait, GREAT option. Otherwise, throw some food on the grill and save yourself the headache!!! read more

I believe this burger restaurant was built to give the Great Wolf Lodge visitors an option. But, it's not that great. Once in a while we get a good hamburger, but at the price of a full-blown sit-down dinner in a nice restaurant. They really need to lower their prices and get consistent service in the back - I'm sure they will have the clientele to match. You don't know which day your burger will be good. I have heard so many good things about Burger Claim and decided to check it out over my extended lunch break. The restaurant is decorated with a mining theme, and it really fits! There are lots of little things to catch your eye, not to mention shotgun shell lights strung up all over the place. Definitely a family-friendly atmosphere! The food was really good. Bring your appetite, because the portions are enormous and incredibly greasy (I wouldn't want it any other way). I had a bacon cheeseburger with tots and it was PHENOMENAL. I couldn't put my burger down, even as I felt my gut extend beyond my leggings waistband and into the Land of No Dignity. My husband ordered the Shaft, which is 1 POUND of meat covered in melty cheese, neatly placed between two buns that will surely disintegrate amidst all that melty, greasy goodness. They offer breakfast as well (which I haven't tried yet), and have lots of different options for sides (such as sweet potato fries!!). They get busy, so definitely plan for a little wait for your food. Being as everything is made to order, that should not be an issue for most. Great food and good prices. The fries are the best! We went here 3 times while staying at Great Wolf Lodge, and the prices were 1/3 of the Lodge's. The burgers were homemade and very fresh. I had the regular 1/4 pound cheeseburger which was very good. I also tried the salmon burger which was a bit soggy, but still tasty. For breakfast, I had a cheese omelet that came with hashbrowns (crispy and good) and a biscuit. My kids liked the breakfast burrito and chicken fried steak sandwich very much. The hand-dipped ice cream was also very good, especially on a hot day! You even get a little discount for staying at the Lodge. My two stepsons and their families were staying overnight at the Great Wolf Lodge and I visited them there on their last day of stay. My stepsons and their wives RAVED about your burgers, so of course enroute home I stopped. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge (like I read on quite a few other reviews...). I read the reviews and the reviews for the food at the lodge and decided it was worth a trip across the parking lot. It was really good! You don't find many little places like that still do everything fresh: ground meat to make the hamburgers, potatoes to french fries, etc. We ordered french fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings - in addition to our sandwiches. AWESOME! It's good enough that if I was going through on I-5 and it was time to eat, I would definitely go! Loved the big bags of potatoes when you walk in the door (can you say fresh cut fries?). We had the Bacon Cheese Burgers. Oh soooo good. Mine was even better with a few of my Onion Rings in it. I like that they grind their own burger meat. The staff was so nice, even the bus boy was nice and polite(asked how we were doing and if we needed anything else). After a weekend in Portland, we were heading back home to Bellingham. We usually stop in Chehalis at Burgerville along the way but missed the exit. Soooo I got on Yelp to find other hamburger places and this place got decent reviews. Pros: fresh ground burgers, not frozen. Had quite a few varieties but I just went with the 1/4 lb cheeseburger and the husband got the 1/2 lb cheeseburger. Very good, juicy burger. Lettuce was a little scarce and limp. I had the onion rings which were big, crisp and pretty tasty. Staff was very friendly. A western/mining theme and decor for the restaurant which makes sense since it's right next door to Great Wolf Lodge. Very kid friendly. Cons: The husband got regular fries. ( there were several kinds like chili cheese, garlic Parmesan, sweet potato ) and although they are fresh cut , they were limp and not very crispy. For a restaurant this size , I was kind of surprised that the restrooms were one stall only. The sink was clogged in the women's restroom. For the two of us, the bill was just over $20. That's for two cheeseburgers, one fry, one onion ring and two pops. More expensive than fast food, less expensive than a Red Robin type place. read more

We stopped here on our way out from Great Wolf Lodge. First of all, you get a discount so show them your armbands! We didn't know about that - but when we drove up to the window, the girl said, "Oh, you get a discount since you are from GWL!" I don't know how much it was - but yeah! We went through the drive-thru. The menu is easy to read - a lot of choices. The food is pricier than your typical "burger" place. But the food we had was excellent! My husband and I both had salmon burgers. It was REAL salmon not a salmon patty and it was delicious. Well cooked. The fries and tater tots were yummy and hot. My son had chicken strips - also delicious! They say they are famous for their shakes but we didn't try those. We ate here as an afterthought when visiting the Great Wolf Lodge next door. Wow, I was glad we did stop here -- it was the tastiest food we ate on our visit. Now, it's not fine dining, but the place was very clean, staff friendly, service was quick and you could tell the food was prepared fresh. If I had the option of NO stars I would have gone with that!!! After a 25 minute wait at a 'fast food' style place, we received COLD food and no sides or dressing we asked for. We had to wait in line all over again to get what was missing, and they were annoyed that we wanted what we had paid for. On top of that, the employees were fighting with each in plain view of customers. There were a lot of open tables, but non were cleared off for anyone to sit at. I was thrilled to get 6 full meals for $35.00ish. The shoe string fries were SO GOOD (they are not the long super thin type fries, but they were really small, fun, and yummy). Above all, I was blown away at how friendly the staff was, they were wonderful, and they treated my kids with respect, and that does not always happen everywhere you go, so that was really nice. Look, there is nowhere to eat around Great Wolf Lodge.. except for 4 restaurants. 2 of them are Dairy Queen and McDonalds. The burger was okay, but it had way too much blue cheese. This is a fast food joint with a drive thru, the food was good! I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and a order of garlic parm fries. The burger was really good, patty was juicy and done medium rare with some pink, toppings were fresh and the bun was soft and fluffy. The fries were freaking good, I love garlic and parm and they didn't skimp on either one, eat with their fry sauce. I ordered a not your dads rootbeer. That was yummy by the way. Would eat here again for sure. Interior is themed like a claim spot, with old timely miner stuff. When you're staying at the Great Wolf Lodge and you require dinner at not Great Wolf prices- Burger Claim is just a short walk across the parking lot. It's a burger joint, sure, but it's got quite a diverse menu. The kiddo loved the fish sandwich, grandma thought the chili-cheese fries were tasty, and everyone else was thankful to have a quality burger with large sides of french fries after a day at the waterpark. My wife and I are always looking for a good hamburger joint. This wasn't it. Disappointment. Burgers were on the high side price-wise considering the fries or onions are in addition to the price of the hamburger. The burger did have everything on it but was actually over-cooked. Overpriced and not good. I'm not a picky eater, but I recently paid $26 to feed two adults and a child the worst burgers and fries we have ever eaten. Fries were lukewarm and soggy. Burgers were just plain bad. We could have ordered the same items at McDonald's for less than half the cost and enjoyed them! Don't be fooled by the false 'claims.' Before they switched out their homemade veggie patty for a boca burger this review would have been a solid 4 star. The first few times we frequented this establishment I was in love. Yummy burgers, full belies, happy kiddos- what's not to love? Over the years, quality has suffered. With the a la carte menu your order quickly adds up. And to not enjoy your (pricey) meal is a real bummer in a town with very few options. Our most recent and probably final stop in, the burger buns were extremely greasy. The cheese tasted off for lack of better words and we left without finishing half of our meals. Fast forward an hour or so and everyone has belly aches and a few even have upset stomachs. Not the best condition to be in while at a water park. I feel for the price and quality, it might be worth it to just eat in resort vs coming here. read more

We walked over from The Great Wolf Lodge based on the relatively decent reviews of this place. My review is based on the breakfast. My husband had the chicken fried steak which he said was really great. It held up the preparation of the rest of our meals, and was the only decent thing we got. The kids ordered pancakes. You could NOT cut them. I know that I'm one hell of a cook and it would be REALLY HARD for a fast food place to top my magical pancakes, but this place managed to destroy pancakes in 12 minutes. I ordered a cheese and ham omelette. It came out with a slice on American cheese melted on top of it. Inside it was also a slice of American cheese with 12 tiny bits of ham steak. I'd guess that the 'cheese' was a Kraft single, but it's been so long since I've had one of those, that I can't say for sure. The hashbrowns that came with the omelette and chicken fried steak were undercooked and tasteless. Did we save $20 off what it would have cost to have the breakfast buffet at the lodge? Yes, we did. But we wasted the $7 my meal cost, my kids ate the sausages, but not the pancakes, and my husband enjoyed his chicken fried steak. So... well, we spent $27 on those three items because everything else went into the trash. Next time I'll stick with the offerings on site. read more

Stopped here for some lunch to kill some time before our check in time at the great wolf lodge. The burgers were good 5 stars. The fries were kind of soggy, I give it a 2 stars. The fish on the fish and chips were too greasy. My husband could only eat one piece and throw the rest away. Nice decoration though except for the food storage by the front door. That's just throws me off and not sure if that's sanitary. Anyone can stick anything in those boxes. Just saying! I felt rushed ordering our food, the clerk looks like she's in a hurry and ready to move on. Sheesh we are trying to read the menu and felt rushed. We went to the Great Wolf Lodge which in itself was overly priced & disappointing. Their food was overpriced & the buffet closed an hour early the night we went. So hungry and looking for a place to eat, we walked about 200 yds north of the GWL & came across - Burger Claim. This was absolutely the highlight to our Great Lodge experience (no they are not affiliated). The food is fresh, fries cut fresh, burgers are created from top quality beef & not even molded until you order - no frozen patties here, REAL ice cream milkshakes hand spun, the food was seasoned well, fulfilling portion & prices were very reasonable. I had the mushroom bacon swiss and by far the best burger I've eaten. We are going for breakfast in the morning! Edit, the breakfasts are equally good. read more
