Do not do a mobile order here. We placed an order, and the site said it would take 20 minutes. We go there a little early to make sure they got it. After 15 minutes of being ignored while at the front of the line, they said they didn't have our order. Turns out if your order is over $75, you have to check your email for the receipt and CALL the restaurant. Nowhere on the site does it tell you this during or after your order. So if you aren't checking your email between ordering and going to the restaurant you'll miss it. After wasting so much time we decided to go somewhere else. They have solid burgers here! I was skeptical at first bc it is so close to great wolf lodge. I thought it might be an overpriced tourist trap. But they offer delicious food here! I wish I had known about this place earlier bc we would have eaten here sooner instead of eating at gwl. It is about a 2 min walk from gwl. I got the mushroom burger and it was really yummy. My husband got another burger with avocados and cheese. It was delicious! I love that the kids meals come w ice cream. You can pay more and upgrade it into a shake. Consistent and amazing. They don't stick a knife into the 1lbs shaft burger anymore but no matter, the taste is still amazing. People are very kind and welcoming. I love that this is also a drive through. You would never. Never think this is a drive through. Any time we visit great wolf lodge, we're here for lunch. Sometimes you just have to get over the hokey aesthetics, if you was to get a good burger. Walk up and place an order at the counter. I'm not too fancy so it's a double with bacon for me. The beef is exploding with flavor and the quality is evident. It was cooked to perfection and the presentation was impeccable. The folks working there are friendly enough. I can see it would be annoying if you're eating there without a family because there were kids running around the restaurant. It may be a little odd waking through the pick axe and shovel. Stopped for a late dinner after seeing good reviews on yelp and could not be more disappointed. The food was fine, but when we walked in there was one customer in line ahead of us who was helped and the cashier disappeared, we stood there for 15-20 min awkwardly waiting while the 3 people in the kitchen finished orders. Cashier came back (probably from break) and took our order, he was very nice. We ate and a female employee cleaned another table turned off the open sign, Then proceeded to yell to another employee she was ready to go home loudly because she had to be back tomorrow at 10am. We left and she pulled the door closed behind us and locked it. I understand it was close to closing and being ready to go home, but that was plain rude and we felt so unwelcome the entire time. There were six staff members behind the counter and only one was working. He was taking orders over the phone, making milkshakes, and doing prep for drive-through. It was really uncomfortable to just stand there and watch them screwing around and not even attempting to help us or him. The food was pretty disappointing, especially for the price. Fries were made from frozen, the Caesar was just romaine with stale croutons and cherry tomatoes, and the cod was rubbery and over-fried. They also brought my side salad out without dressing or a fork. Burgers were ok - nothing special but not bad. It's a cute theme and a great location but they are running it so poorly. You put your own condiments on, but definitely try their "Miner Sauce". The fries were outstanding, as well. Made from fresh potatoes, steaming hot, with perfect seasoning. We've been here a number of times in the past 2 years. They've been so inconsistent these last few times, but we keep giving them a try because we remember how it tasted the very first time we had it. This last time though will have to be our last because we're done throwing away our money. The key to a good burger is obviously in the meat, and unfortunately for this place, the patties have only gotten smaller and smaller and blander and blander. I'm not sure why, for a minimum $15-$25 per order, they can't be bothered to throw a little salt and pepper on the patty. Heck, even the fries were bland. You could still taste how bland the food is, even when you try to douse it in ketchup or their "miner sauce." The miner sauce even used to have more tang to it, but even that seems to have changed in flavor. It tastes like they've started to take shortcuts all around, yet the prices stay high. This place has become so disapponting. I'm not sure why all the other high star reviews. Maybe if you load your burger up with tons of PB, cheese, or bacon, then it will add more flavor and mask the blandness of the meat? I don't know. Like most out of towners who come here we stumbled upon it being that we stayed the night at the great wolf lodge. Ordering was easy, I started ordering online but couldn't find the milkshakes so I phoned in my order for pickup. I was told it would be about 15 minutes which wasn't bad. I rounded up my kiddos and we headed there with stroller and all to grab our meal. When we got here our food was hot and ready. For our dinner we had ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich with onion rings, fools gold burger ( with a black bean patty) with a side of sweet potato fries, queso bacon loaded fries (OMG) and milkshakes. And I was skeptical of the good reviews because there just aren't that many choices in the area but let me tell you Burger Claim is legit. Everything was amazing and portions were huge. My two boys shared the chicken fried steak sandwich and were licking their fingers ( it came with a gravy to dip), the fools burger was cooked perfect and sooo good and for years I've been against sweet potato fries I'm not sure if my taste buds have changed or what but for whatever reason I decided to be adventurous and go with sweet potato fries and now I get the hype! They were soooo amazing and I guess if they're fries and better for you why not I'd totally order these again. And for the loaded fries, now these bad boys were loaded, they did not skimp on toppings and flavor was amazing. The only down part was the milkshakes, they were nice and thick and my sons Oreo milkshake was perfect but my son got vanilla and I got banana and both had subtle hints of banana which for me is never a bad thing but if you don't go out of your way to order banana flavor I can see how that's off putting. Also, when we had walked here a worker came out to block off the drive thru and was smoking and as soon as we got in the door she was already back behind the counter again, which was pretty fast to wash your hands. Our bill came to $30.46 for two burgers and 1 order of tots. Kinda hefty, but you gotta pay for quality right? I got the mushroom Swiss single patty, and my hubs got a bacon cheeseburger single patty. Again my opinion, but the beef tasted just like the frozen premade patties you can buy down at the local Walmart. They were lacking taste, not juicy, (dryer then I like) and honestly didn't taste fresh at all. (Neither of us finished them, and this was a to-go order as we were traveling through) The tots had a great crisp to them, but were over salted to the point that we didn't eat them. The bathrooms were clean and the restaurant was clean and really kinda cute for a burger joint. All in all this is not a place I'll visit again. I must say that when we initially came over here, I was very skeptical. This place is located at the end of the parking lot outside of great Wolf Lodge. I assumed that meant that they would be competing in both price and quality with the lodge, which is effectively a monopoly by captivity. We came in for dinner one evening and found it was so good that all 17 of us showed up for breakfast the next morning again! The most exciting thing here is that all the burgers were right around eight dollars, including all of the burgers with fun stuff on them. Between the eight adults and nine kids, we tried the bacon Swiss burger, the Gorgonzola burger, the Sriracha burger A normal cheeseburger and a chicken avocado bacon burger. Not a one of them was a miss! I bet I can count on one hand the number of times that many different options we're all good, and I can count on one finger the number of times those places are located next to a theme park and cost less than what I would expect to pay at a normal burger joint The kiddos all shared fish and chips and chicken strips, all of which were very good. Fries weren't my favorite but everything else was way better than expected! We then came back for breakfast the next day. We fit nine people for about $45. Combinations of omelettes, French toast and biscuits and gravy or shared amongst everybody, and all four very good. They also had a number of beers that were available, including fat tire and a couple of IPA microbrews. We may have had one while we waited for a burger is the first night. I visited this restaurant with the family as we stayed at a nearby hotel with an indoor pool. The burgers were huge, the lettuce/tomatoes/onions were fresh and the fries were great. Our kiddo also got a kid's meal that came with an ice cream cone soft-serve. It was all pretty good food for a good price. A friend that used to work there said they pretty much made it a McDonald's in the kitchen now. You get shit quality food, higher prices and even takes longer to get out to you. It's been a few years since we ate here but we're spending the night at GWL and the food there tastes awful and is expensive. Across the parking lot is this gem of a fast food restaurant ... and they offer a 5% discount for GWL guests. Their burgers are HUGE and they are not using frozen patties. The fresh cut fries and onion rings were enough to feed all 4 of us. My 10yo boys devoured a bacon cheeseburger each and were stuffed for the rest of the day. Always a great bite and the wait was much more bearable. Only suggestion would be to put a copy of the menu on the counter at the register so we don't have to strain a neck muscle to read off of it when ordering. read more
