Tried them again - bad experience again. Ordered a $7 root beer float ... the "ice cream" was melted (not hard at all. I complained to the worker and he made excuses (did not offer to make it again or refund it). I asked for just a soda replacement (which he did) but did not offer to refund the difference. We just moved to OR from CO and drove by burger basket on our way to return the rental truck. I was really hoping that this would be a little slice of "home". It's not. It is good, in it's own right, however. I was hoping for more of a smashed patty, but this is traditional burger. I got mine loaded with everything and it was good. The fries are pretty standard, but also tasty. Hubs ordered a butterscotch malt, extra malt.... and BOY did they load it for him!! I never thought I would hear him say it's almost too much malt. haha He enjoyed it, but said that maybe next time he'd just have a regular malt. Ordered a burger and a child's meal. The child's meal was posted on the menu that it included the chicken, a roll, fries, and coleslaw. We only got the chicken and the fries. The roll and coleslaw never came. She stated they were out of coleslaw and asked if I wanted a small salad and I said that would be fine. And she came back and said that a salad or coleslaw was not included in the children's meal any longer. So we paid for four items in our children's and we only received two items. I pointed to the list above her head that said that those were to be included. We are not pleased. I consider this false advertisement and I told her that. She acted like she could care less and did not even apologize. We will probably not be back, even though we have enjoyed eating here before. The food was good, nothing to write home about. I ordered a large cheeseburger meal without pickles and onions (there's a digestion issue with both). I will say this about the burger: I enjoy a good smash burger. And it was indeed a smash burger. However, I also expect some seasoning on it. The patty itself was bland when I ate the parts without the cheese and sauce. With the cheese and sauce, the flavor was alright. My biggest issue was a lack of toasted buns on my food. Even fast food joints toast their buns... mine were not. It helps to keep the solidity of the burger and shape to the bun. When I got it out of the rapping, it was falling apart almost immediately, and the bun was smashing in when I grasped it. Also, my fries did not taste salted at all. The service was adequate, nothing too special. Got my food and drink at a reasonable time. Ambiance has this nice old fashioned 70s look with the menu and seating, though sprinkled with 60s imagery. Feels a bit confused to me, but it's alright. Cannot complain about the pricing though. 10 dollars for a cheeseburger meal of the ingredients I got was nothing to scoff at. So I appreciate that. So some advice to the cooks: salt and pepper the burger, salt the fries, and you got a customer for life. read more

One of my cousins told me that I needed to check out Burger Basket, and I'm so glad that he did. It's just about perfect! I had a burger, curly fries, and a shake. The burger consisted of a 1/3 pound patty on what may be the softest, freshest bun I have ever had. It came with the basics - lettuce, tomato, pickles, I think onion (?) and thousand island dressing. It was cooked perfectly. I loved that the patty was a little irregular in shape. It seemed pretty clearly to have been hand-formed and reminded me of one you might cook at home. The shake was tasty. They offered a variety of flavors, including some I hadn't seen before, so I tried butterscotch. YUM. However, the absolute highlight of the meal was the curly fries. They came highly recommended by my cousin. I expected a decent sized order, like you might find at a big fast food chain. I was gloriously wrong. It was a huge mound of fries, more than even my prodigious appetite could manage. It was as though the stuff the deep fryer basket to the top with curly-cut potatoes. They were crisp and delicious. I especially loved how the fries were all twisted amongst themselves; I'd try to pick up one and end up with a nest of them. It made me think of fries I have had at a fair. They were perfect! Absolutely the worst service ever. I just sat at one of their drive through windows for several minutes. It's 100* and my dog is with me. I could see inside, they were in there standing at the counter. No customers at the counter. I finally left and there are no cars even in the parking lot. This isn't the first time they've done this either. Difference is I didn't have my dog and went inside. They get 2 stars because their burgers are still good. The attitude from the young girl who takes orders always looks at me like I'm speaking Latin. Apparently asking for no cheese is a really difficult thing to type into the register. I love this place since I was young, giant burger is the only burger you want flavor and taste is all in that burger . But I honestly hate the lady that works there . She acts like she owns the place and ever time I go I always order 2 giant burgers and chili fries and once she made them both regular burgers and was rude like it was my fault she misunderstood or like I wasn't wanting to pay the difference . Having said that their entire offerings, building and tables, restaurant is stuck in 1992 as is their ingredients! The long waits still result in 30 mins for a couple of burgers. I ordered a 1/4 lb cheeseburger with fries and a small strawberry milkshake. The wait was about 20 minutes in all. I ordered through the takeout window because I was hoping it would be quick, I was wrong. I got my burger and fries and down the road I go. At the next light I took a bite of a COLD bacon and cheese burger. Okay, because I'm hungry I choke some of it down. I dig into my fries and along with my fries come a LONG BLACK HAIR. At this point I'm completely repulsed and gagging.. I will never eat at the Burger B again and I don't recommend it to anyone else. And the only reason I gave them one star is because they don't have an option to not give them any stars. read more

The meat was overcooked and crispy on the edges. The bun was terrible. It was reminiscent of a hockey puck. Very hard and dry. Could not even bite into it. The chili was OK but very much like Hormel canned chili (and not nearly enough). I had a chili cheese hot dog. The bun was chewy, as if it had been microwaved. We also got some curly fries. They were good but a little on the soggy side. We got a raspberry milkshake. The absolute best part of the meal. Their prices are on the high side. Our meal cost $24+. Food was not worth their high prices or the hassle I had with them with getting my money back! The lady who rang me up ran my card three times (different amounts each time) she kept saying the card wasn't working. I didn't notice the additional charges until that night when I was viewing my bank account. I called the next day and explained the error on their part. They said to come back in over the weekend and the person who could fix it would be in. Went in that Sunday just to be told I had to come back Monday to have it fixed. There are different kinds of burgers for different moods and this is your basic old school burger on a soft white bun. It's a burger shack and just what I was wanting, nothing fancy, nothing grandiose, just hot, fresh, and tasty! I got a 1/3 lbs cheese burger with grilled onions and fries. I love that you can choose between 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4 lbs! I used the drive up and the women were friendly and given that it was cooked to order it was fast!
