Couldn't finish it, I used to grow Carolina ripper peppers so if you're not used to the heat don't try this! I took the challenge & felt like death was upon me! My wife tried the extra hot slider & tender & she loved the flavor & about of heat, fries were nice & hot as well. Place looks very appealing to the eyes, I recommend you come give them a shot! So, we ventured out after work and some much needed retail therapy to Dave's Hot Chicken. Off first glance, the restaurant is very eye-catching. Its neon lights on the exterior draw you in and the colorful-graffiti like interior (and exterior) is playful and exciting. There's ample seating indoors and outdoors and the service is quick. The staff is kind and extremely helpful. So, all that was a plus. Our server even gave us his recommendations and helped us narrow down our order. Of which, for me, was their #1 - two piece chicken tender basket. I got my chicken with a Lite-Mild spice level and it included a side of fries and Dave's Signature sauce. Their chicken batter is coated with a dry rub of spices, which, sadly, wasn't my favorite. I only got a Lite-Mild spice rub (my best friend got extra hot - she loves spicy food), but I just was not a fan of the overall batter / combination of spices used. Maybe if it was a wet rub it would have been a different experience - but sadly, the dry rub wasn't really anything to brag about. Outside of that, the actual chicken itself was tender. The fries were fresh and extra crunchy and I really enjoyed Dave's special sauce. All in all, it was a decent overall first experience. I'd go back again for just their plain chicken tenders, the fries and the sauce. Also, the price points are super reasonable - which is always a great thing.

We ordered: The Pickle Gambit, Country Mac's Cajun Mac & Cheese, Mac's Famous Mac & Cheese, & the Cinnamon Roll Beignets. The pickle spears were lightly, yet crunchily breaded & piled high on a plate with yummy, dilly ranch & a second slightly smoky dipping sauce. Both Mac's featured perfectly-cooked shell noodles & decadent cheese sauce! The "reg" Mac had hearty chunks of bacon & fresh basil ribbons. The Cajun Mac was SUPER flavorful & had andouille sausage bites & VERY moist chicken tenders. The beignets were pillowy-soft & served with an amazing cinnamon sugar cream cheese drizzle.

We decided to try the Nashville chicken breast with hot chili oil on the side. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to spicy. I also ordered the lemon poppy seed slaw. Our friends got the salmon Chowdah and also some spicy chicken with Cajun fries. They remarked that the salmon chowder pronounced Chowdah looked to be quite thick and was very flavorful. I gotta say it was some of the best fried chicken I ever sampled. The slaw was very tasty as well. Great combination of savory and sweet. My daughter and I split an order of chicken as we wanted to sample the beignets. We ordered the Killa bees and they came out fluffy and hot with a very nice honey drizzle. Ryan also gifted us with a second order of beignets of our own choosing, and we asked for the Good God Lemon ones, and they were very sweet and tangy. For the five of us the bill came to right around a hundred dollars which being from California I found very reasonable. It's a small place, and you order first at the counter and then go and find a table. If you are looking for some very tasty chicken this side of Nashville you should stop by and order some at this unique place in Salem Oregon.

Driven past Alberto's for years and finally decided to stop in. After seeing it so many times…read morewithout trying it, I went in more curious than expectant. I left pleasantly surprised. My first impression was positive. The establishment was clean, brightly colored, and filled with natural light. The dining area is relatively small, with a modest number of tables and chairs, but it felt comfortable rather than cramped. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. The employees were friendly, and the service was notably fast without feeling rushed. I ordered the chicken burrito for $8.99, genuinely unsure what that price point would translate to in size or quality. The answer was immediate. This was a substantial burrito, roughly 10 inches long, and packed from end to end with filling. Not one of those burritos that gives the illusion of size but turns out to be mostly tortilla. Once opened, the cross-section told the story clearly: generous meat, a good mix of fresh ingredients, and a burrito that looked thoughtfully assembled rather than carelessly thrown together. The flavor matched the appearance. It was hearty, satisfying, and exactly what one hopes for in a burrito. The chicken was flavorful, the ingredients worked well together, and nothing about it felt skimpy. The tortilla had a light browning to it, which added both texture and visual appeal. Just as important, it was wrapped exceptionally well. For a burrito this full, that matters. It held together while eating, keeping the filling where it belonged rather than turning into a mess halfway through. Another detail worth mentioning was the sauce selection. Having multiple options from mild to hot allowed for some customization, and they were worth sampling. They added another layer to the meal rather than feeling like an afterthought. What stood out most was the overall value. Quality, quantity, speed, and price do not always align this well, but here they did. For $8.99, the portion was generous, the food was flavorful, and the service was efficient. Add in the fact that Alberto's is open 24 hours a day, and it becomes even more appealing. In the end, what impressed me most was not simply the size of the burrito, but the fact that the entire experience felt solid across the board: clean setting, friendly staff, fast service, fair pricing, and food that delivered. After driving past this place for years, I can say it was worth finally stopping in. I would return.

A huge portion - it looked like I barely made a dent in it, it was impressive! lol Service is great, the salsa bar was fun, especially a girl that likes things w spice. Restrooms are out back w a key. The vibe is vibrant and familiar which is always welcomed too :)

One bite- all breading no chicken, and burnt up. One bite- the whole thing falls apart and you're left with chicken meat that's half the size of what you ordered. The waffles? Mixed with sawdust, that thing was dryer than the Gobi Dessert. Horrid food, would not reccomend at all. The fries were solid though, I just can't in good conscience rate it anymore than a 1 due to the horrid chicken and waffles.

It showed 2 chili peppers beside it to show the strength of hotness. To me it was maybe 1 chili pepper. The size of the sandwich was amazing. I was truly expecting a smaller sandwich in comparison to most others but I was wrong. I gave this place 5 stars. The customer service was superb and the wait was well worth it for the flavor that came from the meal. The atmosphere and ambiance at the yard was a laid back and welcoming. I strongly advise trying out this place if your in the mood for some good wings or chicken sandwiches. Fries or tots as a choice for sides and what I would call smothered fries. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.
