Friendly. Fantastic food and fair pricing Visiting from Tacoma, WA and after spending great afternoon at riverfront park was famished. Found this little place on Edgewater 5 min drive from park I. Other side of river. I had the smoked tri tip sandwich which if not for a Muffaletta sandwich in New Orleans would been the best sandwich had in 5 years. You get to pick side and the Mac and cheese was creamy, decadent and just delicious. My four year old concurs and loves her mini corn dogs. Just tried the Back Porch for the first time after drooling over their specials posted to Facebook and Salem Eats. We got 2 kids meals, Dino Nuggets and a slider plus awesome batter fries. I had the Fried chicken and a side of Mac and cheese which was delicious. Chicken was smoked beautifully, not dry. The other chicken sandwich was delicious and a slightly more healthy option. No pictures of the food was instantly wolfed down. Inside seating is small but outside space is nice. Be sure to get there early if you want brisket. read more

As long as you love bbq - this place is for you. They know their shit, but I especially love how friendly and warm it feels. It's clearly owned by a bunch of nerds, so maybe I am biased when I say I adore the vibes, since they cover all of my hobby bases. When this place first opened we came here weekly and bragged to everyone that it was the best. We went last night, they charged us $50 for 2 Mac attacks with brisket. The portion for the mac has definitely been reduced even though they've raised the price. Also, nothing anywhere about brisket being extra, in fact the listing for Mac attack says it includes a protein. Won't be going back. The mac is great great but you can get bigger portions and better bbq for the same or less money at several places around. read more

We loved the food we ordered for take out. We had the baby back ribs, mac n cheese and baked sweet potato with honey butter. They even threw in an order of burnt ends just to try for free! Everything was so good!! The burnt ends were AMAZING with the mac n cheese. The best mac n cheese is the best I've ever tasted, so rich and creamy. The baked sweet potato with honey butter was like dessert, yum. The ribs were really good as well.
