The Wednesday Lunch Bunch arrived at the The Burger Bar in Cedar Park just after noon to mostly empty restaurant. The burger bar has a sports bar vibe with a number of TVs and a long bar. We were seated immediately and brought menus. The menu has an extensive list of hamburger options as well as other foods. It's really very impressive. I opted for the candy cowboy, which is a 4 ounce patty with candied, jalapeños, chipotle, cream cheese, bacon, and lettuce. The burger is on the small side. My compadres had different burgers and all were pretty good. The service was sketchy. They mixed up our orders, but we sorted things out in short order. A couple of us ordered root beer, but it was flat. We mentioned that to the waiter, but nothing was done about it. The french fries were excellent! Overall, the average rating on our burgers was about a seven. Not bad, but not great. There are better burger options available all over Austin.

Great burger, excellent service, enjoyed all the TV's with different channels going. Restaurant and restrooms immaculate

Great experience here. Very clean and great fast service here. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich and omg was it tender and delicious! I could have eaten 2 of them! I also ordered a long island ice tea and it was STRONG. This place did not disappoint. I will be back

My last visit was a miss, unfortunately. After a couple of good experiences, my wife and I invited some friends from out of town to eat here. Walking in, we were 5 minutes early before they opened. They seated us anyway and asked us to wait a few minutes before we were served. Soon, they took our drink orders; and after they were brought out, we put in our food orders. We opted for their frickles as an appetizer, and each person ordered what they wanted. For me personally, I chose their Clucker Club chicken sandwich for a change after enjoying their tasty burgers. Our appetizer was brought out about 10 minutes later, and the rest of the food was given to us about 5 minutes after that. Pretty standard wait time, so no complaints there. However, one person in our party couldn't eat pork but the burger that they ordered came with bacon, but this wasn't mentioned on the menu. We brought this up to the waitress, who explained that they hadn't updated their menus but the burger did indeed come with bacon. The waitress offered no options to either remake the burger nor was she apologetic about the situation. We ended up removing the bacon off of the beef patty ourselves while the waitress watched. This was terrible customer service. In addition, the chicken sandwich that I got had no flavor. It didn't taste like the chicken was seasoned at all. The flavor came primarily from the breading on the chicken, which just tasted like oil and salt. This was a huge disappointment compared to the past positive experiences I had with their burgers. To add insult to injury, when we were finished eating and ready to pay, I had to chase down our waitress to let her know. Then she grabbed the mobile payment terminal, walked over, and asked me if everything looked correct. No apology on keeping us waiting. It's clear that the waitress didn't take her job seriously. She shared that she was 19 and she definitely acted like one. Lastly, I noticed on their payment terminal that they ask for a tip based on the total cost of everything, including taxes, which is deceiving. Tips are based on the subtotal before taxes are factored in. They had pre-determined tip options of 15%, 20%, and 25%, lol. I didn't think the service was deserving of 15%, so I punched in a custom amount. Tipping any amount on taxes is just robbery, and Burger Bar has shown itself to be dishonest. Unfortunately with everything that happened on our visit, this was our last time eating here.

Went for another visit with friends, while I forgot to take picture of the food this time, I do have some general pictures to share. Friendly service, the kettle chips were amazing! I had the Nashville Style Chicken Sandwich and it was very very good! Yum. The inside does tend to be a little noisy and thus hard to hear table conversations sometimes, I think this is due to the high ceilings...

The buffalo chicken was hot, sauced nicely, and meaty. Not sure - I think they were fried - nice and crispy. Service- quick and friendly- and accurate. Nice sports bar - many TVs - Good crowd but not very crowded at the time we arrived ~ 8 PM Friday. A definite to go place for burgers/wings.

Buffalo mild wings - 12 wings for $22. They were huge.

Okay Burger Bar - we see you. Stopped in today for a late lunch and we were not disappointed. Clean inside, with friendly staff. My only not favorite thing is all the giant TVs, but that more a personal preference (for a mom who has super distractable kids). That said - they've got the sports bar market cornered. Good variety on their menu, and we enjoyed the sampler appetizer with frickles (fried pickle strips), onion rings, cheese curds, and buffalo cauliflower. My favorite was the cheese curds - they've tasted a little garlicky and I was a fan. My kids really enjoyed the buffalo cauliflower with a side of ranch. Honestly everything was super tasty and crispy delicious. I ordered the figgidy goat, hubby got the habanero heaven (double patty), two kids split 12 bone in wings, and our oldest got a plain burger with a double patty. I'm not sure anyone needed a double patty - these are smash burgers, but they're not paper thin. They're actually fairly substantial, and very flavorful. The kids raved about the wings declaring them delicious! They got the buffalo mild and those smelled super yummy. The plain burger was perfectly...well plain. But that's how some of us like it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I appreciated that they got the order right the first time, and we didn't have to ask for any corrections. No complaints about the habanero heaven and hubby said the burger was perfectly cooked. I enjoyed trying something new with the figgidy goat, and it was super unique. Very sweet. They went heavy on the fig jam, and I could have used more goat cheese, or slightly less jam. But the spinach was a nice crunchy contrast to the whole thing. And we all were impressed with the buns - they look homemade and were super soft. And zero complaints about the fries - they were generous with their portions of said hot, crispy fries. Will order again! The bill came and we were neither shocked nor appalled. The extra patty does add up at $3 each, but we knew that going in. They were very transparent about what everything would cost - it's all right there on the menu - and I appreciate that. It can get pricey quickly though, but know that their portions are a good size, so you can likely tell your eyes that they are indeed bigger than your stomach. We're excited you're here, Burger Bar. Can't wait to come back soon!

Thoroughly mediocre experience, maybe because it was lunch on a weekday? The vibe here is like if a biker gang opened a diner, casual grunge meets upscale garage. I had assumed it would be an order-at-the-counter place like most burger joints but it's actually a sit-down restaurant. Thankfully, my server was really sweet and let me pay right away so I could still meet my schedule. I came at the end of October and was torn on which burger to order, so I asked the server which most represented the Burger Bar and landed on the Oktoberfest special, a burger with mustard, hot pickles, and a beer cheese for "dipping or dousing." Also got some of the sweet potatoes fries. The good news is, the fries were excellent. Almost good enough to warrant their own visit. But the burger, for the steep price tag of the mid-to-upper-teens, was nothing special. This is clearly a toppings-focused burger place, with tons of different offerings listing interesting combinations of toppers, so I was surprised to find that my burger had very little flavor. Despite seeing the mustard and "hot pickles" on there with my own eyes, I could find no trace of their flavor, which is crazy considering I usually find mustard overpowering. The meat itself didn't wow me with any particular flavor profile either. And then the beer cheese....the image on the menu was clearly a liquid, while what arrived on my tray was more of a cream cheese. It was hard to "dip", and entirely impossible to "douse" anything in it. Overall, pretty disappointing.

I pulled up thinking I was just grabbing a little happy hour snack, and suddenly I'm knee-deep in plates like I'm at an all-you-can-eat taste-test sponsored by destiny. Happy hour food? No regrets. Happy hour drinks? Dangerous. Delicious. Deceptively smooth. One more and I would've started singing along to the music videos like I was auditioning for a comeback tour nobody asked for. And speaking of music-- The vibe was straight fire. They were blasting 80s and 90s hits with the actual music videos playing, and I swear for a second I forgot where I was. I thought I was in a time machine, or at least in some kind of retro-themed VIP lounge where everyone has good taste. The nostalgia was hitting harder than the cocktails. The decor? Chef's kiss. It's giving "classy with personality," like the place knows it looks good but doesn't need to brag about it. Service? Perfect. Impeccable. Smooth like they rehearsed it.
