Worst service EVER! Burger overcooked! Lots of LIP SERVICE! At first I thought, gee, this doesn't look right, and it wasn't! But any place can have a bad day! This USED to be a favorite of the family, but apparently, the service as well as the quality have taken big hits! Sent my Sweet 12 yo GN to pick up burgers for himself, his Grandma and myself. He made the order for 3 burgers, first time, only got one burger! Went back in and they made two more. Online said burgers all CAME with lettuce, tomato and pickle. His had NOTHING but a bun! Grandmas came with some lettuce, Mine came with enough lettuce to disguise it was BURNT, onions, a skinless tomato slice? and pickles chips. No ketchup, no mustard, no mayo! However, did include two packets of different mayos (dukes and a no name), one packet of mustard, and one ketchup. Grandma was so upset, she called down to talk to Michael, the server who waited on the GN, and he proceeded to say he does SO MANY BURGERS A DAY, how could he remember? Grandma explains that the grandson came on his bike, etc, then Michael remembers, "YEAH, he came in the wrong door!!!" and proceeded to REMEMBER THAT VERY WELL! But Michael couldn't remember what to put on the burgers, and what to charge for the burgers?! Well Michael, don't worry about what door the kid came in, because he will not be coming in ANY of your doors again, and oh, like I need to mention this, nor will I or his Grandma! So thank you for turning the situation into major fiasco, and instead of an apology and offer to correct your mess up! My advice, Hardees makes a better burger, includes everything they say, and will lettuce wrap your burger beautifully in paper so you can eat it easily, and guess what? No lip service! Just to be fair, GN said the cook was very nice, said hi to him and asked him to come back and see them! Which makes me think Michael the SERVCER, may not know how to write an order correctly! I know he doesn't know customer service on any level! And if you are the OWNER Michael, SHAME ON YOU for jerking a 12 yo kid around and being a horses backside for talking to my 82 yo Mother like a jerk when she called to talk to you!! read more

Beware of the fire god burger, the waitress will tell you it's not that hot, however, the spice that they put on it is made with ghost chillis and habanero, the man they buy the spice from wears a respirator when making it. Food taste terrible. The only thing that taste good is the fries and you have to add salt to it because they don't add it for you. The service there is terrible too. The milkshakes don't taste that good either. There is no use in your children coming either if the only thing they like is chicken. My school had a free cheeseburger night at the burger bar so I attended because I had nothing to lose. The burgers there are way too salty for me. I ate there twice just to make sure they were not off of their game on free burger night and they were salty again. Had to give only 2 stars due to the huge difference in quality between the burger (5+ stars) and the reuben sandwich (-1 star). We were in just before closing and ordered food to go. The burger and sweet potato fries were fantastic and well worth the wait , The reuben - - corned beef was stringy and dried as though it had sat out waiting all day for something to happen and if there was any sauerkraut it had no taste, the sauce was just bland, the cheese could have stayed home, and the bread was toasted well beyond tasty. We will go back, but won't ever order the reuben again. Didn't discover the condition of the sandwich until we got home. May not ever order takeout again, either. read more

We really enjoyed this place. Erika, our server, was fantastic! The Burger Bar gives a nice sense of nostalgia, it is very clean, the service is great and the food was just what the doctor ordered! There was 6 in our group, and all of us left satisfied. I had the Fire God hamburger platter. Erika accurately suggested heat level 5 out of 10. I have visited BB a few times while attending the annual Bristol Roots & Reunion festival. When they are "on" they are most excellent! Perfect burgers and sides. Caution: They are 50/50 if you order from the outside grill during the festival; I have had both an excellent flame-broiled burger and a chewy dry puck of ground beef there. Where do I even begin with this place? The Burger Bar has a great history, and I feel like they are trying to bring that back to life. Which in itself is great. That's just about all I can say on the positive aspects of this establishment. Now to my experience with the food, service, etc. The first thing when you walk in, you are assaulted by dollar bills plastered all over the place. Personally I find this very tacky. I sat at the counter, and had to wait 10 minutes before someone even noticed I was there. I wrote this off as they were busy, finally someone took my order. I ordered: the cheeseburger with caramelized onion and mushroom, an order of bacon cheese fries, and a large drink to go. I should have known that my choice of lunch was a mistake from the get go. A large is 16oz. And cost me 1.99 plus tax. I was already not thrilled by that. I return about 20 min. Later, and my order is ready, and I was offered a free refill, cool beans. I always check a to go order before I leave, and to my dismay no cheese no bacon on my fries. It was solved in less than a minute, so no big deal. I'm all excited, because the majority of reviews for this place are outstanding, I was sadly mistaken in that emotion. The fries were crispy; that is the extent of compliment for the food. What little cheese there was on the fries was obviously from a can, the "caramelized" onions were raw at best, the mushrooms were a soggy attempt at sauteed, no cheese on a sad hockey puck of a hamburger patty, and of this encased in a wet bun. I was sorely disappointed, especially considering the exorbitant price of the meal. I am sad to say that I will not be returning any time soon read more
