Two slices and a drink with the option to choose any topping is a great deal. What really sets this place apart is that you're not limited to just a few toppings like most slice spots. It's simple, flexible, and totally worth it. Nice and hot right out of the oven. You can't go wrong with the pepperoni and honey hot. The service is beyond phenomenal. Ask for Rob he'll take care of you.

The place was alright, I mean the pizza was decent, it wasn't bad. The woman who I payed for my carry-out order was really nice to everyone who came in. She also mentioned military/veteran discount? So I think they offer that here as well. I got a small pepperoni and banana peppers pizza, pistachio ricotta cake, Boston crème yodels, nj style disco fries. The food wasn't bad, it wasn't socks off awesome, but I felt neutral about it. The disco fries were a bit odd, their cheese doesn't seem to melt right. I noticed it on the pizza as well. The zeppoli was "meh". Just dough rolled in powdered sugar it seems like. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was tons of seating available inside if you want to bring a group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Rob and Albert were on shift when I stopped by today. Super cool and they had made a specialty pizza that was out of this world. Alfredo chicken pizza. One of the best slices I've ever had. I've had a ton of pizza. You have to stop by or make the drive here. Worth It!

The pizza was decent overall, with a very crispy crust that stood out. That said, the pricing was confusing and felt more in line with an extremely premium product than what was delivered. Solid, but not quite at the price point being asked. I paid $121 for 4 pizzas and 4 sodas to me it's a bit crazy!!

Best NY style pizza. Have been coming here since they opened and they never disappoint . There meatball subs are excellent and their Stromboli are awesome. But their pizza is far and above and remind me of the pizza we had back on Long Island NY. They have drake cakes and black and white cookies.

First time here. You can tell they take pride in their business by talking to them. We had a great experience. The guy who served us told about the history of the business. We always go for cheese only first time trying a a pizza place to see how authentic it is. We were not disappointed. We also had the garlic knots and they were just right. We started out with the antipasto salad and it had generous amount of meat and cheese on it. The flavor of everything was really good. We will be back again and plan to bring some family to try it out too.

Have been going to Buono's since I was a kid but haven't been in year since they moved from Dobson and Guadalupe. Had a bodybuilding competition this past weekend and after the show all I wanted was Buono's. Had a large group and the server was absolutely incredible! I don't remember what everyone ordered but my order was French fries (best i've ever had), garlic bread, boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, and a half bake ziti pizza and half honey hot pepperoni pizza. First time eating here today and it's 10/10. We have been seeing it for a while and knew we wanted to try it out since it's family owned and operated- can't really find places like that around here these days! We came in for a slice but decided on an extra large pizza with two toppings because the pricing was fair and that would mean left overs. Came out piping hot and DELICIOUS. Crispy crust that does remind us of the pizzas and slices we got when we visited NY last year. The ranch is amazing and it's the perfect consistency in my opinion, makes me want to try the wings solely so I can dip them in it. Just moved back to Arizona from utah. Stopped at a pizzeria on higley just to get a quick bite to eat and was taken by the best sausage sub I've had since I was a kid! Stopped in at Buono's on Higley for lunch on Labor Day as it was selected #1 by the Facebook-based Arizona Pizza Lovers Group. In short: O.M.G. We started with the 2-slice lunch special, which was pesto & mozzarella. The crust was PERFECT; the blend of ingredients and cook on it was as if God Himself had come down from Heaven and made it. My wife's reaction was simply: "Meg Ryan", i.e., similar to her famous diner scene. We also took home a couple full pies: White w/extra ricotta and sausage, and a Grandma with pepperoni (cups!). We tried a slice of each before getting them boxed up; FABULOUS! As were the garlic knots, and our server, Rob, was phenomenal, anticipating our every need and checking in with us repeatedly. All we can say is, do not walk, RUN to the best pizzeria in Gilbert, the East Valley, the metro Valley, and all of Arizona (at least that we've tried). Ciao! read more

This place is one of the best pizza places we have ever been. If you haven't tried their white pizza yet, do so now! Buono's is a family owned business and you will feel like family as soon as you walk through their doors. You will be greeted warmly with friendly, smiling faces. They serve pizza, pasta, subs, salads, desserts and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. This place is good to bring the entire family or to hang out at with friends. Their New York style pizza is always made fresh and absolutely delicious. Great pizza. Awesome wings. The only thing I would change is that you can only order a Sicilian slice if you order two or more and I'm literally starting at the ala carte slices straight infront of me. I've never heard that at any pizzeria that offers pizza by the slice. Kinda bugged me but it is what it is. Enjoy everyone. read more

I cannot say enough about the service, the quality and price of the establishment's food and employees. I ordered a full meal catered for 85 people for my granddaughter's wedding and have not have had nothing but great reviews from everyone. In particular, the penne Alfredo was the best I have ever, ever eaten and I can't wait to come back and get more for home. Owner Jimmy is indeed the master of this arena. In this business for over 42 years, his reputation as such, precedes him. So many happy East Coaster's, literally flock to this location. My husband and I stopped in for a late dinner after running some errands and were welcomed by the…read moremost pleasant staff. They were very friendly and even offered a few recommendations, which we appreciated. I went with the Italian stromboli, while my husband opted for the meatball, sausage, and pepperoni stromboli. Both looked fantastic, but we agreed that the meatball version had more flavor and was much heartier. The Italian stromboli was a little light on meat, making it feel a bit too bread-heavy for my taste. We also ordered the garlic cheese knots, and those were pretty darn good--soft, cheesy, and full of flavor. Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. Despite my stromboli not quite living up to expectations, we'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

We went to Crave last night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. When we were seated, I let our…read moreserver know it was a special occasion. She immediately told us the kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes (we arrived at 7:19 and they close at 8), which already made the experience feel a bit rushed. We ordered a deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza, a Caesar salad, fries, and water. The salad and fries came out quickly and were good, but we waited until 7:52 for the pizza. During that time, several staff members including what seemed to be a manager, were loudly yelling back and forth across the restaurant about staffing and schedules. With no music or TV volume, it was impossible not to hear, and it felt very unprofessional. Meanwhile, our water glasses sat empty. I had to ask three separate times for refills, and the third time I actually had to get up and find our server at the bar, where she was sitting, still discussing the schedule. When the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious. But basic things like Parmesan and pepper weren't offered. I had to flag someone down to ask. And even though we'd just received our food, the lights on the patio were turned off while we were eating, and we were brought a box very quickly, which felt like a not-so-subtle hint to leave. Overall, the food was good, but the customer service and atmosphere really took away from what should have been a nice birthday dinner for my daughter. Very disappointing experience.

Boy did I find it…read more There are a few Vito's in the Phoenix area, and all had great reviews and photos that made my mouth water. Ultimately I chose the Mesa store because it was the original and I wanted to see Mesa. We started with a basic garlic cheese bread appetizer and it was great. The calamari was tempting but we'll save that for next time. Wife ordered fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and I ordered the usual Chicken Parmesan which came with a side of pasta. It was actually a harder choice than usual because I walked thru the restaurant before I ordered and so many dishes looked good, as did the pizza. But I went with the usual. Let's start with the wife, which truly speaks to the five stars because she frankly doesn't love Italian food. She eats it when I beg. And she loved it. She actually proactively mentioned she wanted to go back. That's like 7 stars right there it's so abnormal. I agree with her. The chicken parm was fantastic. Amazing. To top it off, our server was great and when I mentioned we were new to the area and it was our first trip she was so nice telling us the history of the original and the other stores, and the manager later stopped by to continue that conversation as the server told her we were new. I mentioned that I live closer to the Scottsdale store, and she said it's the same food and I'll like it just as much. I'll have a hard time deciding which shop to return to - it might be worth the drive to the original just for the ambiance, but I'll give the other a try soon because it was just that good! 5 stars. Or 7 if you ask my wife.

My only complaint was the portion size for the price. Normally I would get to chicken pieces and have leftover chicken. I remember normally going in and being able to split this dish with my husband, but this time it came with one piece of chicken. This was a little disappointed for the price point and hoping to get more protein. The other really annoying part when dining at Vito's is parking. I circled around twice including the parking lot by the car wash and State Farm and called Vito's asking for advice where to park and was told Walgreens across the street due to a big party they were having in the basement. Lastly, Vito's has a happy hour menu, the discount used to be better in the past so lately I haven't ordered from it. However, the frustrating part is in the summer the only way to benefit from them is to sit outside on the patio. I wish they allowed for seating for happy hour specials during hot summer months to be inside as well.

Upon entering place is a bit 'open' and warehouse style but the staff are welcoming making the place warm and inviting. Food: ordered the small (8 slices) Chicago cheese with sausage. Surprised it was a round pizza and gal said all others are, just this size isn't. Shape didn't deter from taste as so gooey with cheese and the Italian sausage is home made! They have a good selection of wine, beer and a bar for cocktails. No bar to sit at but plenty of tables. A good selection of items to purchase: Italian ragu, pasta, ice cream- spumoni!!!! Definitely a return visit as loved the pizza and they also have sandwiches.

I don't know the server's name, but it was a guy with black hair and a little facial hair. You'd think since we were the first customers, the food would come out pretty quick, but it took almost 40 minutes. It doesn't take that long to make a 12-inch pizza and a chicken salad. When my pizza finally came out, it was barely hot. Then about 5 minutes later, the chicken salad came. Like, really? Took 40 minutes to make a small salad. I wouldn't have minded the wait as much if the service was good, but it wasn't. The server barely checked on us, and I had to signal him just to get refills. After we finished eating, we had to wait almost another 20 minutes for the check because our table was getting ignored and I had to signal him again The food is decent, but the service this time was terrible.

The menu is made up of barbecue plates with meat sold by the pound, platters for larger groups, tacos, burritos, and various sides. Energy time I have been here I've ordered the brisket burrito--it's simply too delicious for me not to get. It was about 5:30 PM on a Wednesday and the place was Poppin! The bar was completely full and it was loud!. We did not have a reservation and the only open seating was at the bar or high tops in the bar area. We were quickly greeted and our server was incredibly on top of it! I noticed that the main menu had a line at the bottom that stated a gluten-free menu would be available upon request. I did ask to see this menu as gluten-free is my dietary preference, not an allergyand I was brought a complementary gluten-free bun instead of the pretzel bread. I thanked our server and told him not to worry that it was just a preference and he told me that he treats all gluten friendly requests as an allergy. I really appreciated the care and concern he had for my health and well-being. This is unprecedented at most restaurants. They had a very extensive gluten-free menu and I can't wait to go back and try so many more items. We did try the Leonard burger and made quite a few modification requests - all of which were 100% accommodated. This burger was so incredibly juicy! My entire hand was dripping by the time I got done eating it. Everything else we tried was delicious. I have no complaints or suggestions for improvement and will definitely be returning soon!

Starting off, the onions weren't soggy by any means which I love in a good ring, batter wasn't the majority of the ring which is also a great sign, and lastly the crunch was very nice with them coming out fresh. The Fontina burger has a great beef patty that carries its flavor by how clean it tastes alongside the mushrooms that are the other biggest taste factor for this burger. Finally, the baby back ribs were the star for me personally because you can actually taste the pork for its quality. I usually expect a super sweet sauce that bogs me down after with ribs, but these ones left me feeling able to still go on about my day which I love. They aren't shake off the bone tender but I liked the gentle chew they provide. Overall, I recommend Joe's to anyone who cares more about the ingredient sourcing and quality while enjoying a nice family friendly vibe for a lunch/dinner. They have a great outdoor patio seating for times when it's not over 100 degrees.

This place is a hidden gem! I'm genuinely surprised it's not busier. We ordered the white ricotta pizza and the Sicilian garlic bread--both were absolutely delicious. The owner even gave us a complimentary slice of cheese pizza to try, which was incredibly flavorful and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. Katie took care of us and was so friendly and attentive--it really added to the experience. I ordered the margherita pizza. Immediately, I was impressed by the fact that the waiter informed me that their margherita pizza is not like the traditional margherita pizza and he explained the differences. I appreciated the info because there is nothing I hate more than ordering a margherita pizza and getting some other version of it that isn't good. The pizza was delicious.
