We decided to give this place a shot on wing night. The layout was a little weird. They have a long narrow area which I am glad we didn't get sat in. In the main area there is a lot of hightops. They have a nice patio but no misters. It's 109 outside... get some misters for the patio! Our waitress was very nice and moved fast. Wings were good. For the Valley I would say above average. I didn't care for the dry rubs (I didn't think I would) but I don't regret trying them. Mango Habanero were good BUT for the 2nd hottest wing on the menu it wasn't hot. Definitely worth trying out. Well, I'm gonna put this one in perspective -- keeping in mind that we're not in Buffalo, home of the greatest wings. What Native has going for them is their happy hour, especially on Tuesdays, with their chicken wing special currently at $0.79 per wing. Over our recent visits, we've experimented quite a bit. I've had some good luck with a few of their wings, notably the Honey Hot and the Buffalo-style Hot. However, the dry rubs seem to be lacking a bit. I suspect they're not seasoning them long enough, which would allow the flavors to penetrate and enhance the taste. The staff consists mostly of young ladies who do a pretty good job, though at times, I feel the service could be a little warmer, with more effort put into hospitality. Now, the biggest downside -- the noise. The place is far too loud. I can't count how many times we've asked for the music to be turned down. Even when there are barely any customers, you still find yourself yelling across the table. And it's not just us -- this seems to be a common complaint among other diners, so why they feel the need to blast the music is beyond me. Let me start by saying I ordered 20 wings. 10 honey hot 10 lemon pepper. I got exactly that. Just that 16 went in the garbage. After waiting 30 minutes and asking where my order was I finally received my wings. Ordered naked! Not naked. Ordered extra crispy, got extra chewy (didn't see that option) ordered saucy ( which I paid extra for) NOT SAUCY. This is why I haven't been to Native in 2 years, why I'll never go again. We drove by Native Grill & Wings in Gilbert many times but never stopped in until today after our Zumba class. So glad we did! The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. We especially loved the chicken wings and pizza--absolutely delicious! Our server Missy was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The manager also came by to check on us, which really made us feel welcomed and cared for. We had such a great time there today and will definitely be coming back. DO NOT ever ever ever order for delivery through their website. They outsource to DoorDash and it becomes a finger pointing game. After waiting 1-1/2 hours for delivery and being on my FIFTH driver (the four prior all cancelled), I called the restaurant to see what the delay was. "Oh, your order was picked up an hour ago." The app still says the (fifth) driver was waiting for the food to be ready. It may have been, but nothing ever made it to me. The manager wouldn't help me so I called DoorDash. They wouldn't help me because it was placed through Native's website. They gave me a Native "corporate" number to call. "That number is no longer in service." The atmosphere is upbeat and hostess and waitresses are so friendly and helpful. The food was good, I would have to say the chicken on the Cesar salad was a little bland not much flavor at all but once you mix it together it was better! The thousand island cheese burger was great, the bun was a pile over cooked but the flavor was amazing!! The native buffalo wings fries were great!!!! And the kids medium and hot boneless wings were on point! The women's restroom was not the cleanest that needs a little work but all in all it was a good experience. read more

We waited about 20 minutes to be seated. On a Wing Tuesday, that's not horrible. We were greeted and seated on the patio and it was a nice night out. So far, so good. After about 15 minutes, a server finally came to take our drink orders. Then we waited... and waited. It took another 15 minutes or so to get our drinks. We informed that waitress that we were ready to order and she said she'd be right back to take it down. Well, we waited... and waited. Another young woman came around and asked if we were doing ok. We let her know that we'd been waiting quite a while for the waitress to come take our order. At this time, we decided that we'd be foregoing our appetizers. About another 10 minutes go by and the waitress shows up to take our order. We asked for refills on our drinks and she obliged. However, she stopped to chat with some folks that looked like the may have been familiar to her. We waited... and waited. Finally, our drink refills came. I asked about our order and she said that she was putting it in. I was shocked that it wasn't in yet! So, we waited... and waited... and waited. Finally our order showed up. Only, mine was incorrect. I ordered six hot and six mango habanero. What I got was all hot. We spent a solid 90 minutes before finally getting out of there. Learn from my mistake. Steer clear unless you have TIME. read more

As we walked in, our waiter directed us to a large booth for 7. She asked us for our drinks, in which a great variety. I ordered the strawberry lemonade and it was spectacular. Then we ordered the lunch order of wings 5(7.99) and a 10 piece(13.29). The lunch specials go from open-3 Monday-Friday! Then we did the boneless combo offer which came with a 1/2 pound of boneless wings and fries for $10.99! We are super satisfied and we will be back! Did an online takeout order this time using the app, very disappointed in the salad as you can see, too old and brown for me. I selected crispy on the wings (the receipt shows that), but they are cooked as normal. Also should note...no celery and ranch in the order (like the menu states)? I do visit this store on a regular basis and this time it was just disappointing that o say the least. First time at this location. Arrived early around 5:30, we were seated immediately in the bar. There were several tables around us that already had their food, good sign we wouldn't have a long wait. We ordered our drinks and received all drinks quick minus the beer. We watched the bartender poor the beer and in route to bringing it to us she stopped to socialize with other patrons. We then place our food over and our beer finally makes it way over. 20 minutes after ordering our wings and 2 strip baskets come out. Wings were good. Buffalo ranch strips were good. The Buffalo hot strips were cool to touch. Not much sauce, asked for more sauce and it never came. My family ate while I waited. Finally my husband had to go stand by the kitchen and someone else brought it out. The kicker of the night? There was a brunette lady with a gentleman in a cowboy hat sitting at the bar vaping! My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a weekday. It was not busy, and we were seated immediately. Our waitress took our drink order right away. We decided to get the 10 pack with 5 teriyaki and 5 with ghost pepper sauce. I got the ghost pepper sauce. The order came with fries. Our order was out in a reasonable amount of time. So what is different than most wings is that the sauce on the plate, not on the wings. The wings are not flavored, just plain. I ordered a little more sauce so I could completely coat the wing. The wings were tender and juicy. The ghost pepper sauce was wild. They should do a challenge. These were right at the top of my spice tolerance level. Outstanding! Native Grill & Wings has been on my bucket list after I heard their origin story. When I arrived, I asked the server (Sarah) for wing recommendations for a tourist like me. After having difficulty which sauce to try, Sarah offered to make me a "Flight of Wings" with 5 flavors slit up between 10 wings. Loved all of them! Any grill that is willing to create something off the menu for a wandering tourist is pretty amazing in my opinion. "Beer is cold and the wings are hot!" I was told I have come back to try the pizza by one of the locals at the bar. If the owners are reading this, I recommend Sarah gets a raise! It was empty and had to ask a different server twice for assistance (needed a knife to cut the pizza for example). Ordered two kids meals and they charged full price for the Shirley temples, would have thought discounted as kids meal came with a drink. Kids slider had cheese on half the burger and frys and tutor tots were undercooked, soft and bland. It was also freezing inside. We all had jackets on and were still uncomfortable. Placed order, website was great! About the pickup time, I called in and let them know I was already there that way they could bring it out when ready, no rush. Girl on phone said it was already ready and she's on her way. 20 minutes later she brought it out. Not busy and several other workers in view, not sure of the delay. Boneless chicken was ok, fries were sweaty and soggy mostly due to sitting I the styrofoam containers so long. Pizza was little Caesar's at best, the wings were good but the kid loves any wings.
