Oh my goodness!!! And by goodness I mean the food was so yummy. Our family is from the Chicago area, and I was born in the city. We met to celebrate my son and daughter's birthday. They were beyond accommodating. And the food was awesome. Even my 10-year-old grandson loved the beef sandwich and my 5-year-old granddaughter enjoyed her chicken fingers. I could go on and on but just take a ride out there and you'll see. And the manager, was more than accommodating to our large party. He even gathered the group in the restaurant to sing Happy Birthday to my kids and another person in the restaurant celebrating their birthday. It was a great day!! Don't be discouraged by the cramped seating.....the food is worth pretty much ANY conditions. Seriously. I would eat their food off the bumper of a dump truck. Saturday night 10/11 and busy. Plenty of parking. Very clean inside. Very friendly staff. Order at the touchscreen to save time which is great and easy. Soda fountain was great. I asked for ketchup and instead of pointing, the young man with glasses just walked over and got it for me even though I didn't realize it was self serve( very politely). After only waiting about 5 minutes, Food was hot and tasted great and correctly made. Someone asked to take away my trash. Well done for a recently opened restaurant. read more

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for lunch today. When we walked in and started to look at the menu we realized we had no idea what to order fortunately one of the owners was there and offered to help us order. He ordered for us my husband ordered the combo beef and sausage with hot peppers and dipped. I went with the chicken sandwich. The sandwiches were both great. The combo sandwich had plenty of flavor and my husband enjoyed the onion rings too. My chicken sandwich had flavor and was juicy. The restaurant was busy for a Friday afternoon. I ordered the beef sandwich dipped the way it comes and It wasn't anything special! The meat had no flavor . The only thing I enjoyed were the fries . Also got a Chicago dog with everything and it was nothing special as well just didn't have that flavor I was looking for . The service was great and fast I went thru the drive thru. I'm originally from the Chicago burbs where Italian beef Is plentiful and a staple. I've always loved Buona. I'm thrilled they opened here in the Boro and I can get a taste from home without having to visit Illinois . Be sure to get your beef dipped (I prefer baptized with extra Mozzarella). The beef and bread are straight authentic! Sad to read several bad reviews but for those of us that don't have access to authentic Chicago cuisine, Buona is a blessing. Went there yesterday. Food was okay, not worth $50 for two people for a casual fast food place. What was really bad was that most of the tables were dirty, we sat at the cleanest dirty table, the trash was so full we couldn't even throw our trash away, the syrup was out on two soda choices, there was no silverware at the condiment station we had to ask for plastic silverware at the counter. Ate here because we heard it was good. Let me just say my burger was burnt and fries had a weird oil taste like Sonic does. The chicken sandwich also had the same weird oil taste along with the onion rings. The place was dirty and no one was cleaning tables or taking out the trash as it was over flowing. We have come here at least 20 times since they opened. It is usually excelent. The beef was still great but they changed the cheese fries. The sauce is terrible by comparison to the original. So sad. Wont be ordering those again!! read more

4th time in today. Again the beef was not baptized! The runner caught it and it was still dry! The bottom of the bread was the only thing wet! I am very disappointed in this place! Not the Chicago experience I am used to too. I recommend they go to Chicago express experience, their true Chicago beef and then try again. I keep hearing from the members there that they're trading someone new in the kitchen after all this time I hope they've gotten it right, but they still have not. I usually give restaurants only three chances to win my business this time I gave it a fourth and I've learned that three is the true number. Went for first time last night, the food was great. My wife, daughter and I had different versions of the Chicago Beef. My daughter and I had ours with mozzarella (I think) and my wife had hers with liquid cheddar. I had sweet peppers in mine. I had mine dipped. The fries were great and we paired them with liquid cheddar. We were very satisfied with the meal and we will be back. Went with friend originally from Chicago Saturday the 4th for early lunch. I ordered the beef hot dog w/beef, fries & a drink combo. The order taker couldn't get it right. Kept repeating the order over & order when all we sd was we wanted was a #2 combo which comes w/a drink. We we're drilled over & over & do we want cups. Fast forward, finally got my food: disapointing. The Buona beef I had directly from Chicgo was flavorful, juicy. The beef was not dry like in Murfreesboro. It was simmering in veggies & broth, not grease! What what brought to my table was a lil dish of grease-olive oil, not broth the beef had been simmered in hours in, grease! We got no red peppers. This tastes nothing like Buona Beef from Chicago I'd just had in Aug. Im sad. What happened to the old switch & bate of taste buds. Did they think TN couldnt appreciate REAL food. Come on, bring us real food too, we can handle it, just like out brothers in Chicago! read more
