I really wanted to give this place five stars, and it is certainly capable of being a five star resort. The property is fabulous, the attention to detail in the design and execution of the facilities is superb but the value for cost is a bit out of whack. Again, I really wanted to love this place. The bell staff and housekeeping staff are superb. The grounds are out of this world. The amenities are class. The general vibe is friendly and laid back with a hint of elegance. The room was superb. The grounds and facilities were spotless, well-stocked and well-maintained. But, for starters there is Fish Tales restaurant to contend with. We had a dinner experience that would be unacceptable at Shoney's followed by a breakfast experience that was worse. Cold breakfast served by a snotty disinterested kid is not a good value for what we paid. There were a couple of top- notch five star servers there (thanks Floyd!) who somewhat saved the day. The outdoor Sea Senor restaurant was good with a limited menu and an untrained server our first night. They could have done better. That being said, we had a lovely, restful two and a half days and 80% of our interactions with staff were first class. If management can get the cost in line with the provided value the Bungalows has the potential to be a destination of choice. But they need to do some work on a few things. We will likely go back but the second trip has to be flawless or we'll give up. read more

We had an absolutely stellar stay at this resort. From the moment we checked in until checkout, the wow factor was delivered. The facilities are gorgeous, rooms spacious and clean, and service was excellent. The food and drink were excellent quality. We enjoyed our massages in the spa. Just a couple of critique items. We thought although everything we ate was delicious, the varsity could be improved. With only two main restaurants, we thought they could at least rotate the menus or have specials. It is not fun to have a bill shoved in your face for every drink, breakfast, lunch and dinner for a gratuity that should have been INCLUSIVE. Awkward and unexpected. Just got home from a four-day stay here. Overall, while I enjoyed my time, I do not feel the experience lived up to the high price point. It is not close to a 5 star resort! First impressions is everything, but we got a cold reception, we showed up at noon and they charged us $300 more dollars for subpar restaurant experience with zero attempt to great us properly, not one person said welcome to bungalows. Fish tales and their Mexican restaurant have sub par food with horrible service. They seem to have picked up jobless people on side of road with zero communication skills, poor understanding of English too. They spend more time in groups of servers talking to each other then spending time with customers. Zero personality, horrible service experience. Not one person asked how our stay was leaving and not one server asked how our food was and if we need anything else. They had one restaurant that you actually had to pay extra to go to, service was better there but food was anything but 5 stars, more like a Denny's steak, dry, hard to cut over seasoned! It's sad this resort is so mismanaged because they have a great layout, the bungalows are very nice with outdoor showers and tub. Grounds are well maintained. This resort is truly run by a bunch of Amateurs. Get new management team, train your people to anticipate the needs of the customers, teach them to not use work as social hour with other employees, stop Nickel and Diming with asking for tips after every drink or food item ordered(that is not all inclusive) very poor value for the money with subpar restaurants and service! read more

My daughter and I are very disappointed with our stay. We expected a luxurious stay at a luxury resort. Instead, we experienced unacceptable housekeeping and horrible customer service. We have both stayed at luxury hotels all over the world and I can assure you that this is not at all a luxury hotel. I contacted Mr. Mark Weakland, the general manager, to bring my concerns to his attention, however, the response I received was unprofessional: "Your claim that that you never received turn down service are false and misleading. Documentation shows multiple turndowns were accepted. You and your daughter will not get a refund on your consumed vacation. Your threats and intimidation approach is unbecoming, as is your personal attacks and Ill informed content are testament to your intent. Good day" Following are the details and pictures regarding our stay: 1. Bedding After 4 days into our stay, I called the front desk and inquired about why our bedding was not changed. I received a short statement that bedding is changed every other day. I clarified that it had been four days since our arrival and the bedding had not been changed. I should not have to be complaining about my bedding on my vacation at a luxury resort. Also, I feel that the bedding on our arrival was not fresh either, since my daughter pointed out to me dirty spots on the bedding. Pictures of dirty bedding with spots attached. 2. Turn down service I called the front desk after 3 days inquiring about the turn-down service since we had not had a turn-down service since our arrival. The person at the front desk replied to me in a raised voice, "She is doing it!". Even after this call, we still never received this service. Mr. Weakland responded: "Your claim that that you never received turn down service are false and misleading. Documentation shows multiple turndowns were accepted. " If we had turn-down service done every night, then why were the basic room amenities never restocked and why did I have to call to ask for toilet paper, coffee, creamer, bath salts, and soap every night? 3. Bathroom Cleaning is not a priority for the housekeeping staff. I had a hair on the vanity that remained there for several days. 4. Floor The floor was dirty throughout our entire stay. I took pictures of plastic, hair, and pieces of paper that should have been vacuumed or swept. Pictures attached. 5. Housekeeper vaping in our room On Wednesday, March 16th we came back to our room and saw that housekeeper was inside. Since the drapes were opened we could see that the woman inside was vaping. She saw us looking at her and quickly came outside to let us know that apparently, she was cleaning. When I reported it to Ms. Snook-Talkes, her response to me was: "The housekeeper does not smoke." Mr. Weakland responded: "The housekeeper admitted to eating candy which appeared to you to have been a vaping incident." The bottom line is my daughter and I saw the housekeeper vaping. 6. Room amenities My daughter and I had to call every day for basic room amenities. We either did not get regular coffee, creamers, or stirrers. We called every day for toilet paper, bath salts, or bar soap. 7. My daughter's flip flops I attached a picture of my daughter's flips that she uses after taking a shower that clearly shows marking of someone stepping on them. This occurred after speaking with the executive housekeeper. My daughter was appalled and hurt that someone would do such a thing. 8. Rude and unprofessional comments On Tuesday, March 15th we asked to have our car ready for 10 am and we were late coming to the front (I had to take an unexpected call). When we got to the front one of the employees in charge of bringing the cars said, "We waited for you for 40 minutes and had to put the car back. We were waiting a long time for you." We were taken back by this comment. There were plenty of parking spots in the front and there was no one coming or leaving. Furthermore, I'm not sure why the staff member felt the need to make me feel bad about being late. On another occasion, at Fish Tales, we just had appetizers and expected to get a fresh set of utensils for dinner after our plates and utensils were taken away. My daughter was completely taken aback by a comment made by the waiter. He said that she will need her fork and knife for dinner and proceeded to place her dirty utensils on the dirty placemat in front of her. 9. Visitors vaping and smoking This is a non-smoking resort. We saw people vaping in restaurants and no one was enforcing the no-smoking policy. On many occasions, we could smell smoke coming from patio areas. We are saddened and disappointed with our stay at the Bungalows Key Largo and blame it on poor management. We expected a luxury resort with luxurious accommodations and fabulous food. It's unfortunate this place has become so complacent within only a few years. Our first experience was so great we returned. This time, staff seemed to be discontent and didn't pay attention to guest needs. Having a hospitality background in luxury hotels, I have never seen a top resort care less about their performance for customer service. Trip 1, valet helped generously when we had a flat tire (which we didn't expect or even ask for). This time, I couldn't receive a call back after notifying staff of an item left behind (100% sure it was there and I reported it within an hour of departure). When we received burnt pizza from in room dining, it was comp'd with a shrug. Bartenders were annoyed to make anything that required a blender (sorry, guys?). Waiters acted as though they wish they didn't have to show up to work. I overheard spa staff discussing drama and drugs at the front desk...I mean either be a little quieter or wait until I go back to the lockers to speak about personal matters...and certainly try to have some class in an environment that is so reputable. Staff will most likely brush this review off as they do most concerns, but I hope if you're looking for an outstanding experience where staff pays attention and provides great service, this place (while beautiful and fun, still), will leave you feeling "meh." I found this place on Instagram and added to my google maps to visit. When we wanted a place to elope to we wanted to stay in the country. We loved all inclusives found all over the Caribbean but didn't want to risk it. I remembered this resort so I called and asked questions. It was in fact a all inclusive. All your drinks and meals are included. One restaurant is included once with your 5 night stay. We got to eat here twice because it was also included in our wedding package. Customer service: Top notch you get out of your car the bell boys are wonderful to help you out grab your bags and take them to the golf cart. They grabbed us cold water and walked us in to check in. After check in with rum punch they get you to your cart and give you a tour. The doors open and you instantly are at peace. Ahhhh The lighting here is beautiful every dim lit light shows beautiful foliage. We get to our bungalow and the bell boy grabs our bags and helps us in. Please remember to tip these guys after traveling all over these are the best bell boys we have ever had. Rooms : The bungalows are breath taking. We really wanted a ocean view but they weren't available. But after having a garden view we don't think we would have it another way. The front of the bungalow has chairs to relax at. Inside the front door a couch and table. The king bed might have been the nicest we had our whole trip. The bathroom had curtains and privacy from the rest of the bungalow which is so nice. The toilet had a pocket door. Outside is where you will and should spend most of your time at. I had coffee outside and relax. The tub is infact big enough for two people sit out there and enjoy. We used the outside shower more than inside because why not. Bars and restaurants are a short walk or bike ride away from your bungalow. It is in one central location. You can order food from the tiki bar for something casual or get a reservation time to any restaurants. You have fish tales , sea senor , the tiki bar, and some ordered food from the hemmingway bar. The food switches daily at the restaurants. Sea senor: We loved it here the catch of the day never disappoints. Fish tales: clam chowder every one was raving about it so we are spreading the word get it. Tiki bar or pool side: Pizzas were amazing each time. Lettuce wraps were amazing. Sweet potato fries also good. Hemmingway bar: lamb lollipops Also don't forget to try there cocktails each one is so so good. Bogie & Bacalls : THIS IS INCLUDED ONE TIME DURING YOUR STAY of 4 days. But you can always add that on if you choose not to stay for 4 days! Now that being said it was intimate and beautiful. A real steak house feel. The steaks were amazing. Go thru each course and enjoy. Eloping: Eloping in Key largo was the easiest thing I have ever done. I didn't want to worry about a thing. Cynthia took care of everything she even found someone to do my hair for me last minute. All I wanted was a beach side wedding and we got it. She asked for some pictures of bouquets and took care of everything. We had a champagne toast and asked for a bottle of scotch for my husband. She made it happen we took casual pictures and she sent the rest of the stuff to our room and we enjoyed our evening celebrating at hemmingway bar and bogie &bacalls casually talking to other guest about their weddings and marriages . The pool area: people get up early to claim their spot. Respect that. Also be respectful when you are done using it and let someone else enjoy the space. Bring a beach bag and stuff your stuff in the bag and lay it against the wall if you don't have space. Relax in the pool. Their are people to bring your drinks. Hot tub area: Great! It could have fit 15 couples without touching eachother. I was grateful for it after a long drive. The spa: You will smell the eucalyptus room all thru the resort. I have been dreaming about owning one ever since. The massage was amazing we drove so I was very tight my whole trip. Word of advice just book one when you book your stay the day after you get there and relax. Please remember to tip your servers and staff they are great at customer service. I was so excited to book my birthday stay here and had high hopes for this resort but was disappointed in our stay. We booked two nights here during the week and as you know the pricing is a bit high. Well definitely not worth the amount you are charged for this all inclusive resort. At that price you expect quality customer service, amazing food and drinks in a top notch environment. I have to say the grounds are very well kept, the place is beautiful and the bungalows are well put together. Our room had a private balcony with an outside tub and shower which was lovely. The room was clean minus the stale cigar or cigarette smell that was lingering and also had a front porch with two chairs plus two bikes to ride around. They brought us an air filter machine to clean the air but all our clothes smelt like an ashtray when I pulled them from suit case when I returned home. It was disgusting. The pools especially the zen pool was great with plenty of chairs and cabanas to relax in. There's views of the ocean with options to chill too. So why did I knock off three stars? Probably same reason as of most reviews. Besides the smell I mentioned in my room, the service is poor and the food/drinks is mediocre at best. The staff has no personality and no urgency to work for tips there. The food was either cold, over seasoned, under seasoned, poorly prepared and lacked any originality. We tried all restaurants and chipotle makes their Mexican restaurant look like a 5 star establishment. I have no problem waiting a bit more for service since I am in no rush to go anywhere but the servers do not know how to even multi task. Why should I wait for a menu for 20 mins when you already walked by me a couple times with one drink in your hand while the other staff just stood around fooling around at the zen pool. Servers are not even all of the problem. The management is right behind them. Servers act that way because no one is guiding them. I am really surprised at an establishment like this they have not stepped it up yet with management and straightened the staff out or stepped it up with the quality of food. When we checked out the bellman came to our room to drive us to reception. They are the only pleasant staff on the premises with customer service skills. Even the staff checking you out does not ask how your stay was. Probably because they do no want to hear an earful. I also has a family member call in the morning to try to send me a bottle of wine to my room for my birthday and they told her not until the next day could it be delivered when I was going to be checking out. How hard is it to put a bottle of wine in a room? It's not. Over all we will not be returning nor recommending this place unless management takes a page from Sandals and learns how to run a resort. read more

My wife and I were looking for a romantic vacation spot to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We usually do something, but this year we wanted to step it up a bit. And step it up we did at The Bungalows. You know you're in for something special as soon as you arrive. Accommodations - We splurged and stayed at one of the waterfront bungalows. Excellent views from the porch, comfortable bed, and clean room and shower. Felt very private and secluded, which is what we were looking for. Activities - We booked a couples massage, did a snorkeling trip and enjoyed relaxing at both pools. The Zen Pool is great for resting or reading. Food & Drink - All three restaurants had delicious options for dinner. We mainly opted for poolside snacks at lunchtime. Breakfast was excellent every morning at Fish Tales. All meals/snacks were fresh and tasty. And I don't want to skip over the drinks. If you enjoy a good cocktail, every bartender at The Bungalows can serve up some yummy, potent concoctions. The Staff - Last, but certainly not least, is a big thank you to all employees at The Bungalows for making our anniversary trip as relaxing and opulent as we hoped it would be. Everyone we encountered were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. We spent two days at the Zen Pool and had great conversations with Giuliani (hope I spelled that correctly). He made sure everyone was taken care of while still taking time to make personal connections with my wife and I and other guests. Certainly don't want to slight everyone else, just don't remember all the names. All staff were very professional and seemed to take great pride in their work and was not lost on both of us. I came to the Bungalows with high hopes and left incredibly disappointed. While this resort claims to be 5 stars, there are a number of basics that seemed to be lacking. It is clear that management is trying desperately to save money on food/beverage and staffing costs, resulting in horribly slow service, mediocre food, the restaurants being out of a number of items, empty towel areas and more. While this is expected with some all-inclusive resorts, given the "5 star" rating and exorbitant cost per night, I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here. During our stay, multiple staff members proactively mentioned management had been getting lots of complaints and people asking for refunds after one night. Side Note: Most of the staff was incredibly nice and the property is beautiful. A lot of this seems to stem from a lack of training and poor management. I would love to see the Bungalows succeed and expect they will turn it around at some point. read more

This place is amazing. I was expecting ehhh since it's an all inclusive. But was I wrong!! Sooo relaxing rooms are amazing. Comfortable and well apportioned- breezy and Beachy with you own outdoor courtyard and bathtub/shower. The food is excellent.... And it's all inclusive!!! Every meal has been excellent! I really can't believe it! I really love the Chi Ocho Old fashion ... it's not on the menu but ask for it at Hemingways bar. Even the fish and chips we ordered was different and really tasty. Shrimp and lobster chowder at Fishtails restaurant and lobster bisque and Boogie and Becals was great! Service was really attentive and just made the whole experience special. We relaxed on the beech and in front of Hemmingways bar on the couches- napped with live music playing below with beach breezes. We should have spent another day!! read more

I cannot in good conscience recommend this resort to anyone. During my stay in February of 2024, I had 2 credit cards stolen from my bungalow while I was at breakfast and the room was being cleaned. During the rest of our time at the resort, my friends and I were anxious about other things being stolen out of our room (we ended up taking our valuables with us to the beach every day). Sadly, I wasted a significant amount of my vacation time dealing with the resort manager and local police. Upon returning home, I spent a significant amount of time dealing with them as well as credit card companies. The manager and police office were never able to resolve the issue. The experience I had with this resort involved safety issues, security issues, and customer service issues. My stay was a very disappointing one. read more

Clean, great staff and amazing food. Only bad experience is when we first checked in there was a rude girl who said we had to pay 200-300 bucks to come on the property two hours before check in. All the rest of the staff was great. The tipping situation is weird. You get a zero bill and are expected to tip....they should just include like 100 bucks a day for tipping and if you want to give extra cash to someone you can. That would be all inclusive. Also you only get one night at the steakhouse included, otherwise it's $300.00 extra. The resort was well manicured. Excellent from the walk around the property to the rooms. Just sheer beauty and extremely clean. Well taken care of. The issue was from the beginning. The valet driver Rudolph was on point! Pleasant, courteous, and professional. He immediately greeted us upon pulling up, said hello, and took all our bags from our vehicle to the golf cart and our vehicle handing us a tag and opened the door for us to check-in inside. He even took care of us when we left the resort. This is where my wife and I had the issue. The front desk. After a very long drive and holding it to use the bathroom, we wanted to take care of that first before we could concentrate on the check-in portion where they want you to sit down and sign paperwork. They were upset we had to use the bathroom first. Anastasia Augustin did not even crack a smile until after we signed the paperwork and left. This was extremely disappointing. Bad day? Don't come to work and don't come to work at a place of hospitality. If you worked at the Tax Collector or DMV, sure. We expect that. The front desk is your first introduction to this resort and just like meeting someone, if this is how we're greeted, then we expected this to be everyone inside this resort. She was very cavalier and cared less to welcome us. From start to finish she was glum and careless. EVERYTIME I CALLED the front desk everyday I was there, all I got was "FRONT DESK!" Seriously, who trained these people? I know who I am calling! Is this the police department answering this call??!! Yeah, I know it's the front desk! I called you. Learn how to answer the phone. I get Gen Z and Millennials lack phone etiquette as calling someone or speaking on the phone is painful. Their laziness is very evident. GM of this resort, call your front Desk from a room...prove me wrong! In fact you reading this, cal the resort right now and tell me I am wrong. Is the GM aware this is how your front desk answers their phones. Even when I called before I got there, it was this feeling of, "WHAT DO YOU WANT?! I'm tired. I don't want to be here." I work for the largest hospitality corporation in Orlando and the world and how about, "Good Morning Mr. or Mrs. Smith, it's a wonderful day at The Bungalows Key Largo. How may I assist you today?" 4 seconds. Painful? Do you not want to work there anymore? Quit. Christina was the ONLY front desk employee that answered the phone with a smile and cared. I'm sorry spending $5K for a 4 night stay I guess is not enough money to answer the phones appropriately and professionally. We won't be coming back. Servers: I didn't mind the tipping. I had cash and they preferred it for claiming tips. Be careful though. What they recommend on the receipt for breakfast as opposed to lunch dinner can easily fool you because during our stay 3 times for breakfast it said $10-$20 and then one morning it said $6-$14. A-HA! Tricks. My guess for their buffet breakfast with drinks could be a min $50 with 20% as $10 min. Yet, some of the servers don't want to be there. Alex and Margarita ~ if you get either, ask to be reseated or another server. We sat unattended for 10 minutes each passing. Upon seating. Then waiting for our drinks. This went on throughout the night until we left and left them their $1 tip. WE COULD SEE THEM BS'ING in front of us that night. Is there any management supervising the service from the servers to the front desk employees. Is there a refresh training on "re-bluing" them to get them on track? The grounds, pools, and amenities were immaculate. Except, be careful at the Zen pool. The mosquitoes there will destroy you. I recommend the resort spraying or providing some kind of repellant on the bushes surrounding it. Lastly, we were there when Hurricane Ian was around. Luckily it did not affect the vacation at all. It was wonderful because it kept capacity around 10% which was great, BUT if Bungalows at Key Largo was at 90%, you're in for massive crowding at the only two pools they have and the limited size beach. Examples: I waited for my food for 50 minutes and asked the wait staff to check on it three times. When I was leaving my room the cleaning staff was outside cleaning the room next to mine, I asked if someone could come by my room with towels and turn the bed over, she looked at me as if I asked for something ridiculous. Food was awful. Anything worthwhile at the resort was an extra fee even though it's marketed as an all inclusive resort. Service was worse than the food. I had a poolside server wake me up because he shift was ending and that I'm presuming that she wanted a tip. Plenty of other places to stay in the keys for less money. read more

My husband and I visited the bungalows in January 2022. The space is incredibly lush and beautiful. Riding the provided bikes at night through the lit palms is a memory, among many created here, I will cherish forever. I was not, however, impressed by the food. There's no coffee to be found that doesn't come from a keurig machine - and to my fellow coffee people who understand, I was horrified. And if you're looking for drinking water it's going to come in a Bungalows branded plastic water bottle. You're going to get excellent views, lots of comfortable curated spaces to hang out in, and the convenience of never having to leave the grounds - but you're not going to get a foodie experience. If you're more interested in the drinks, you'll be well taken care of. If you don't mind leaving the grounds, there are many excellent dining options close by. read more

From check in to check out the service we received was phenomenal. All the staff was super pleasant and super helpful. The bungalow room with outdoor tub and out door shower was amazing. The bikes add another layer to the fun, we loved biking around to eat and to pool area. Such a romantic get a way. They have 2 pools, of which one is a zen pool- great for a more peaceful environment. We booked a 50 minute massage at the spa, one of the best massages I've gotten- their spa has a salt room and a steam room. We also did the sunset sail which was amazing- they have food and drinks on board. The resort is all inclusive- the food was great, the drinks were great, top shelf liquor, all inclusive ?! That's a no brainer. Only issue we had was with the room keys, the app the keys were kept in kept on failing us and they finally gave us physical keys. The place was super clean and super well kept and maintained. We will def be recommending to our family and friends. read more

apparently the staff, especially the "Director of Operations, Tara" were not advised that they are working in hospitality. She took the Hostility course instead. No smiles, no greeting no "we are glad you are here or "thank you for your business" I ha e been in the Hospitality business for over 30 years and spent time in hundreds of resort and hotels and have never felt less welcome. They rely on the uniqueness of their property to get customers and sustain. Be prepared to be ignored! I have enjoyed my experience at the Bungalows Key Largo for the most part. I was disappointed in the food and mostly disappointed that my satin pillow case was taken by housekeeping during linen changes. It's an honest mistake to not notice the difference in quality/ texture of the pillowcase when changing linens but I would expect a 4 star facility to pay much more attention to detail. What really disappointed me more so was the lack of concern by the management that I had to keep asking about what can be done about this. If I didn't have to have it to prevent allergies when I'm lying on the pillow , then I wouldn't need it. I had to take Benadryl every night to sleep due to irritation and allergens from sleeping on the cotton pillow case. This was a big bummer for sure and put a big damper on my visit. I was really hoping that the management would have tried harder to accommodate me in this situation. I felt like not much effort was put forward and there was no compassion or empathy for how it affected my comfort level. I'm sad that it ended this way for sure as this was otherwise a nice resort. I am a foodie so it's hard to impress me with ordinary food options. I have lots of recommendations to give to the resort for alternate food options if they're interested. We just came back from a weekend trip to Bungalows Key Largo, this was our second stay as we live about an hour and a half drive away. We had an amazing time and this time brought three other couples along with us to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Jean a Hemmingways bar stood out, his service was excellent the entire stay and we really appreciated that. We had Steve as our waiter at Fishtails and he was excellent as well, we saw him the next day by the pool as well and he was happy to help us any time he would see us. The catamaran crew for the sunset cruise was impeccable, they were so professional yet polite and accommodating, they really did a great job. If my memory serves my correct, Mitch was one of the people who really took care of us on the Catameran. Overall the experience is fantastic, we had one hiccup with a bad manager Saturday night at the living room but I think that was more of an isolated, miserable individual kind of issue and not a resort issue. We were all having a good time dancing and listening to music from the DJ that was supposed to last until at least midnight when she decided to tell the DJ to "pack it up" at 11:30 and then proceeded to start closing up for the evening. Can't let Bungalows wear the black eye for her behavior. I could be wrong but I think she is in the wrong industry. Wanted to also thank and recognize the check in team who made the process smooth and simple, the gentleman who helped with valet, luggage and transporting you back and forth to the rooms are amazing, they have a great attitude and they really go above and beyond for you. Special thanks to the gentleman at valet that recommended High Tide for breakfast on our way out, we really enjoyed it and ran into him there later in the day! I wish I remembered his name, sorry! All in all, we are Bungalows fans and will be returning, thank you for a great weekend and some amazing memories! Suggestion for travelers: Food options end at midnight, you do have a fridge and microwave in the room, I recommend having some snacks or microwavable snacks to keep in the room for late nights after drinks. As Honeymooners- we were looking for an Adult-only all-inclusive in the United States, and we are soooooooo happy we decided on Bungalows Key Largo! We stayed for six nights and from the moment we drove up to the second we left, we were absolutely catered to and we felt like royalty. Prior to coming, we read all the reviews and there are many mixed reviews about this place, so we kept an open mind upon arrival. We chose this place for our Honeymoon and we have zero regrets! Apparently Bungalows is still very new (5 yrs old), and the staff members work so well together, they each play their role with absolute perfection. The dirt was raked perfectly every morning, you almost felt bad for walking on it. You can easily notice the resort is managed well. We had a waterfront bungalow - 101 and it was the perfect location. We sometimes felt we had the entire resort to ourselves, even though we met so many awesome people each day we were there. Our bungalow was beautiful, clean, comfortable. Each bite of food we put in our mouths was literally excellent tasting, and the service was excellent! The bartenders were very friendly and fun to talk with, the live music added great ambience. The very well maintained resort was such a pleasure to explore. Each Bungalow came with two beach cruisers. The pool was fabulous. The Tiki Spa Massages were amazing. Patrick the boat captain was very knowledgeable and friendly. Trayvon was so kind and helpful on multiple occasions, Julie and Sam were such fun bartenders - but every staff member we came across treated us like friends. One conversation we had in the pool with another guest went like this... "Have you ever been to an all inclusive before?" Me- "No, this is our first." "You are definitely spoiled for your first all inclusive, because this place has the best of all worlds." My Husband and I had an absolute blast and we highly recommend this resort to anyone. Incredible resort, we've traveled extensively and found this to be one of the best. The grounds are immaculate and you feel like you're on a private island. The bungalows are very private and quiet. The design throughout is modern, thoughtful and beautiful. Spa is lush and inviting w/ your own private tiki hut for treatments, the steam & salt rooms were gorgeous. Zen pool was so relaxing and the lounge cabanas were very luxurious. Plus great servers bring drinks! The all inclusive was great for that. Also the workout gym was in this cute tiki hut, all open air and looking out over pool was beautiful. And they had 3 pelotons which was a huge plus. Plenty of seating all over with different area to relax, despite the resort being at almost full capacity it never felt crowded, but was very lively and fun. Great programming with time of live music, which was fabulous. Met lots of great people from all over which was fun. Three restaurants and the food was outstanding. Especially the lamb lollipops at Hemingway bar! We loved hanging out up there taking in the views. The Kayaks and paddle boards were great to take out on your own and the sailing trips were also fantastic, highly recommended doing that. I am sad to leave this review as we had extremely high hopes for the resort. Overall we spent $2,100 for 40 hours of a sub par experience. The service was terrible, the food was mediocre, the common spaces were dirty. On top of everything it seemed to attract a crowd of rowdy, white supremacists who chose the pool area to scream racist remarks. There were not enough people working at the pool area and the pool was covered with bud light cans. The pool and beach area is also self towel service (very odd for a luxury resort) and the towel area was completely empty. The staff was not well trained or equipped to be working at the resort. The staff was friendly and trying their best however they were understaffed and not familiar with what five star service entails. The food was mediocre and they ran out of dessert two nights in a row by 8pm. When you pay for all inclusive you want to be able to access anything you want. I even complained to the manager, Mark, who couldn't have been more dismissive or rude. When I told him about our issues he condescendingly said "I'll be sure to inventory the dessert in the future." I hope this review gives you pause before paying the high rates for this place. We certainly regret our stay. read more

Bungalows was a dream vacation and honeymoon for us! You're truly treated like royalty, customer service is impeccable, & there is enough to do. We stayed 4 nights and wish we would've a 5th. I would suggest day 1 be a party day, day 2 be an adventure day, day 3 zen pool day, with the last day a spa day! We loved bogies and bacalls, the food was worth the price. Senor sea was our next favorite. We highly recommend the 28' private charter. Our captain was amazing! Samantha was the best bar tender, and if Leah Sutter is singing, you have to go listen! The negative? Fish tales is just average food, they can't break big bills for cash tips most places around the resort & we felt like there was some hidden fees we didn't know about. read more

Went for and early morning kayak, couldn't get water or something to drink because service didn't start until 11am! Had to go to restaurant if in wanted a drink! SLOW service, waiting 30-45 minutes to get pool side service. Very cool bar upstairs! But, they don't serve the patio 10 ft from the bar! Got serious attitude from the manager when I asked if anyone was serving the patio area. Not worth the "All-Inclusive " fee they charge. And the little tiki bar cruise they promote/charge extra for ........ byob! Really?!?!?! read more

The location is beautiful, and it's an amazing place to visit. All in all I would've rated this 5 out of 5 if it wasn't for the service here. It really makes the place a downgrade from a standard resort. $300 extra for an average steak house dinner?! Excuse me. The drinks are very hit or miss, don't show up looking for a sex on the beach cause they don't know how to make em. On top of this, we stayed at 405, what looks to be in a perfect place. However next to us was a service area for maintenance and was loud and smelled like sewage. First night we called they checked it out and said it was gonna be handled the next day. Second night me and my wife couldn't even enjoy outside. The smell was horrible. It was our last night there and around 6pm when we called them. They offered us a free dinner at the steak house... we already had dinner so we weren't wanting to go eat again. Then they offered to move us. Which we were not wanting to do on our last night, no one wants to pack up move just to unpack and pack up again the next morning. They had no other options after that. For 2 nights we couldn't enjoy our outside, we complained each night and now leaving the place very unsatisfied. I feel bad for such a beautiful place to be terrible by the people running it. They won't see me back. read more
