I loooooove how Mayo Clinic here in Jacksonville takes care of all of us!! I never thought that "hospital food" could be something to look forward to, but Bundy Cafe is exceptionally good! The hot pizza oven, the refreshing salads, sushi, soups, sandwiches, etc and all types of healthy snacks. The staff is so friendly, professional, and personable. I love the coffee choices as well. Especially when I have to be fasting for lab work. Mayo takes hospital food to a new level! I had shrimp tacos with grilled asparagus and maple carrots for lunch and it is absolutely delicious! To make it even better it was only $12.79. It's great that they don't take advantage of people at the clinic that can't easily leave the campus. You place your order at an attended counter and they deliver it to your able. I've eaten this café several times today. I ordered the autumn harvest salad, which is seasonal. The salad cost $8.99. The staff is always professional and courteous. It has roasted butternut squash, chicken breast, the creamiest, feta cheese, pecans and dried cranberries with spring salad mix. Super delish! It is everything you could ask for in an autumn salad. Way better than Panera because it has a light dressing that brings it all together not over power the veggies. read more

For being in a hospital I'm super impressed with the food here. I came for lunch on Tuesday and ordered at the counter, my favorite dish is the mahi tacos, they are so delicious with the spicy sauce and corn tortillas. You also get two sides with it and my absolute favorite side is the carrots and Brussel sprouts. There are tons of options from pizza which my mom has gotten and liked, to salads and sandwiches. There is also a huge section with grab and go snacks including fruit, yogurt, bars, desserts, drinks etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They bring the food to your table and there is also a small section of outside seating (there could be more).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've always enjoyed eating here for something fast, healthy and filling. They offer a wide variety of foods and they even have a wood fire oven to make homemade pizzas! I decided to order half sandwich/soup combo. I chose the chicken cranberry sandwich with the broccoli and cheese soup. Both came out in a reasonable time. The presentation was wonderful and the taste was even better! It's also a great place to come and work on your laptop. Lots of natural lighting in addition to indoor lighting. They have tables and booths and it's pretty spacious. (This is a hospital y'all) Hospital food is normally edible but not good. I had low expectations I ordered the Grilled Salmon + 2 Sides. My sides of choice were Brussels sprouts and maple glazed carrots. I am absolutely AMAZED at the taste. Every item on my plate is cooked to PERFECTION. Note: The Brussel sprouts are cooked so well I don't taste the after taste. I grabbed a box of mixed nuts. They are FRESH and preservative free and priced at $3.99. The dining area is large and CLEAN. They have an outlet at the booth where I am sitting. The is a service crew walking around either serving food, cleaning up, or bussing the area. I did not think it's a complete 5-Star Experience because I am confused on the wait staff. They deliver your food, they are welcoming, they speak and make sure you are okay then DISAPPEAR. I wasn't sure if I was to expect them to come back or not. I needed a to go box for the rest of my food. I roamed the area and couldn't find one out. I RECOMMEND they place to-go containers next to the dumping area or even at their top bar. The waiter can also let you know when she leaves that a to-go box is available if asked. I am Not one to eat by myself but when you are waiting for someone you don't have a choice. Wandered in to a huge clean area. Windows towards the back to make it feel even larger. Big menus on the wall or some at the kiosks. Ordered and was given a geolocation tag. Less than ten minutes later my food was brought right to me. It had flavor and was hot. However, if you have a few moments, take a look at their amazing menu full of nutritious, exciting, and affordable items. You will be given an electric buzzer to track your table location while you wait on the meal. It will be brought to your table, but drinks are self-serve on the way from the ordering kiosk to the magnificent new dining area. They offer complementary still or sparkling water from a tap. The soup was not salty and tasted extra original. My sandwich half was the Floridian: turkey, avocado, tomatoe, butter lettuce, onions and a spicy chipotle on multigrain bread. EXCELLENT!!! Because of my disability I go to Mayo Clinic every 2 - 3 months for medical treatment and doctors follow up. from Orlando this is typically a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive and most of the time I am unable to eat because of pending bloodwork. The Bundy Café is conveniently located right outside the phlebotomy department and allows me and my wife to get a bite to eat after my blood work and before the wait to see my physician. The staff members have always been very pleasant, and friendly when ordering and receiving our food. The food options have changed recently and now are absolutely delicious for a small café located inside a hospital. They have really stepped up their game and the quality of food making this a very enjoyable experience. The chicken Cordon Bleu wrap was absolutely delicious and the quality of the chicken was that of an upscale restaurant. The portion was large enough for me and my wife to share easily. The pricing is very fair and now I look forward to getting to the hospital so I can grab a bite to eat from this delicious café which definitely turns a negative into a positive because nobody likes to go to the hospital on a regular basis. For lunch I had delicious meatloaf, mashed potatoes & gravy. It hit the spot. The prices were very conservative. The male Cashier was fast and efficient, but not friendly.
