Use to love this spot but the last couple times in there, the service has been horrible. Ordered to go. First time they call my name and it's only one of the 4 items, so I question where's the rest? She looks confused and said it'll be a minute for the rest. So I sit and wait...saw my full order get bagged. The staff is chatting it up. I finally go up after my foods been sitting there asking if thats my ordered that's bagged? The 3 employees who's have been standing there talking for like 10 minutes says 'oh ya'. Get home and pizza is Luke warm, chicken fingers ordered was wrong! So disappointed...I would definitely recommend socializing it the back not where orders are taken and when food is done get it out

Great American cheese Burger (medium rare), broccoli, and and oreo shake.

I savored the Great American Cheese Burger (Medium rare) with a side of broccoli and an Oreo Shake. I also enjoyed an Asian Salad topped with hot grilled chicken. Five stars all around! The staff exemplified attentiveness, alertness, and good spirits, gracefully handling upset customers and transforming negative energy into positive solutions. My food was fabulous--the burger was juicy, the broccoli perfectly cooked, the shake was vibrant enough to make me dance, and the Asian salad truly stole the show. I wholeheartedly recommend this location.

I met up with some friends from church and had dinner recently. This was my first time at the location on Beach Boulevard. Grab a menu, walk up to the cashier, order your food and they give you a number. When you hear your number, go back to the counter and pick up your food. I ordered the Mediterranean salad plus cajun chicken and a chocolate shake. The salad was fresh and delicious. And the Cajun chicken was juicy with a kick that I liked! The chocolate milkshake was a little on the runny side. I prefer a thicker milkshake. The chocolate flavor was good I just didn't like the consistency of the shake. I would absolutely go back to this Loop location. Next time I will be a little more adventurous than a salad;)

Asian Chicken Salad (No chicken)

A couple of things really made this place stand out for me. First, I called literally minutes before closing to place an order and they accepted it. Second, likely due to the late hour, they forgot the chicken on both Asian chicken salads. When I called back the restaurant was clearly closed but someone actually still answered the phone and they offered us a credit for two entrees. So we placed another to go order a couple of days later. Everything that we tried here was good, from the burger to the pizza, feta Mediterranean salad, salmon sandwich, and the Oreo shake! I'd only had a burger from here at a catered event years ago before my recent order so I was glad to to be able to explore the menu a little bit more. Based on the excellent customer service, great portion size, and food quality, we'll be back!

To the chefs working the kitchen tonight, Thank You! This order was prepared perfectly for everyone. We truly appreciate all the care put into preparing our meals.

What can I say? Plain and simple, I'm a big fan of The Loop. It's a Jacksonville staple, like your furry friend, that's always there for you. It delivers a consistent product across all locations. This Beach Blvd. location is extremely beautiful and well lit. They even have a few seats out front on the patio, but you might need to wait a few more weeks to sit outside. I brought my parents and grandpa here for a reliable, affordable and filling meal. And that's exactly what we received in return. I ordered something different, the Cajun Salmon Sandwich, and boy it was tasty! The salmon itself was long and thin, and didn't fit terribly well on the bun. Convenience aside, this paired with a mustard sauce was straight up delicious! The Achilles heal of The Loop, and all their locations for that matter, are ticket times and slow service. Even though it's an order at the counter joint, the cashier seemed to be overwhelmed with our fairly basic order. On a slow Sunday nifty and only one other table in the restaurant, we waited a rather long time for our food. Don't let the service keep you from coming here though. I really would recommend The Loop to anyone. With burgers, pizzas, salads, sandwiches and milkshakes on the menu, there's always something for everyone!

Poor service.. food is always good, but for some reason our order took forever to come out. It appears I might have lost it.

This is the second experience that I've had a Whiskey Cakes…read more My first was in Round Rock, Texas. Last night, was The Town center in Jax. Both were consistently amazing! The food and service were impeccable!!! Having tried both places, that enabled me to try several different dishes. My recommendations for appetizers, The fried green tomatoes, and the deviled eggs (it will be a surprise as to which one you get, they change.) we had the scallion and barbecue. The goat cheese fondue was delicious as well. I've had the steak salad for dinner as well as the Reuben. Whatever you get, you're gonna be eating well and leaving happy! As for ambiance, it's busy and fun. Which makes it loud. Not a great place for a "romantic evening" but more for a fun, laughter filled night.

Salad was forgotten then ran out after asking more than once. 3 Chicken melts and one my strip steak took over an hour for a restaurant that was not busy. When the food came out, only two of the four meals came out. The other two meals were delayed by more than 10 min. when they came out one of the chicken melts was wrong and the Mac and cheese (which was an up charge) was cold. The steak was brought out without a steak knife, and we had to get up to ask for one. Not to mention the waitress never checked on us. Our order consisted of: 2 Raspberry Bourbon Mules one Old forester old fashioned bottle of beer Starter was an order of deviled eggs (which were ok). For dinner 3 chicken melts and one NY Strip. On a positive note the manager came out twice to check in on us, but I promise I wont be back. No photos taken (which is a first for me) but honestly it wasn't worth my time as we obviously were not worth Whiskey Cakes Time. Update at the end the manager did come by and took items off our bill. He was very apologetic.

Outdoor patio with family friendly seating and games. Also, they have a private room for events. First things first: get the fresh squeezed orange juice. It is absolutely incredible and worth the visit alone. The menu is fantastic and they have everything you could want for breakfast. If you're in the mood for comfort food, the biscuits and gravy are phenomenal, some of the best I've had. But they also nail all the classics , French toast, bacon, eggs, you name it. I do have to be honest as a coffee lover, the coffee was a letdown for me. Neither the hot brewed nor the cold brew impressed, so if you're picky about your coffee you may want to manage expectations there. Stick to that fresh OJ though and you won't be sad about it! One major bonus, the restaurant is really big with a lot of seating, and we went on weekdays without ever waiting for a table. In a breakfast spot, that's a big deal. Overall a really solid, reliable breakfast spot. We'll be back next time we're in Jacksonville.

We asked to sit outside and were told it might be a 45-minute wait, but thankfully two groups chose to dine indoors, and we were seated in just about 10 minutes. We enjoyed drinks along with the beet salad, a grilled fish sandwich, and an oyster and clam combo--all of it was outstanding. We topped it off with bread pudding for dessert, which was absolutely delicious! The staff was attentive, the outdoor seating was perfect for people-watching, and most importantly, my parents had a wonderful time. It was such a special experience--we'll definitely be back!

I admit to being sad that I couldn't get my broiled platter- that is my favorite Fish Camp dish, and apparently not available for lunch. I pivoted and got the steam pot for 2. For myself. And guess what- I ate all the crab, hmmm so happy! Laugh- it was hilarious, I was still cracking crab while everyone sung happy birthday! I was thrilled. I brought home most of the potatoes, corn and such- it even had mushrooms and broccoli! YUM! My old fashioned was also perfection in a glass. John had the shrimp and fish basket and loved every bite. Several raved about the shrimp and grits. Caron loved her mahi mahi. Connor got the Spicy Wild Caught Shrimp Linguine with White Wine, Garlic, Tomato, Pecorino and inhaled it! Even the kiddos were super happy with the kids chicken strips, although the kitchen delivered the first plate to the wrong toddler and the lovely parents didn't question how they got food without ordering and that little girl dug right in. Opposite end of the table- this grandma spoke up and we split the food so all the littles were fed. Considering our chaotic group, it went very well. I didn't hear a single complaint from our party. Hopefully we didn't drive the staff too crazy!

True Food Kitchen is an extremely well thought out and delicious dining experience…read more The restaurant is beautiful outside and inside. It's elegant but simple inside. Great use of earth tone of green and brown along with wood floors and walls. There is every type of seating booths, tables both small and large. You can see into the kitchen and drink station and it's done in a way that just adds to the decor. We were seated immediately with our reservation and waited on with water soon after. There is no soda served here, just their own drink blends along with alcohol drinks. We had water and decided to try their drinks another time. Everything is fresh, locally sourced and delicious. I had the jambalaya pasta and it was really good. Slightly spicy, the shrimp and chicken cooked to perfection and the "holy trinity " hit just right. My wife ordered the farmer's scramble off of the brunch menu and it was amazing as well. The true star of our meal may have been the sweet potato chips. Just the perfect crunch, the exact right amount of salty and sweet...fantastic. The fries were solid, the sauce was unique, tangy and a great accompaniment. Our lemon blueberry muffin was just a bit dry. Average in a meal that was otherwise stellar. Because they use such fresh ingredients and cook it in ways that are a bit more healthy, I left feeling full but not overly stuffed or bad. If you haven't tried True Food Kitchen, I highly suggest you do. There's something for everyone and everything is done well.

We came here because we were shopping at Saint Johns Town Center…read more They had all the doors / windows open so inside was the same temperature as outside. If you're walking around outside doing shopping and you want to come inside the cool off, this is not the place to go. The food was good. It wasn't the best I've ever had and it wasn't the worst. My husband got a buffalo chicken sandwich that was 3 stars. Wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to rave about. I'm not sure what these sides were that came with it, but I do know that french fries weren't up charge and they were extremely bland lacked salt and were cold. I got a salad because it said that it had carrots and cauliflower and I added chicken but honestly, it was mostly spring mix. The other salads said that it was Green and Spring mix. This one did not so I was hoping for it to be more vegetables and not so much spring mix. If there was two florettes of cauliflower cut up in there that was a lot . The service was definitely five star. We sat at the bar and there were two people work in the bar and they were both very attentive and one of them made up extra of a green kale drink and gave us a little sample, which was quite fabulous Honestly, moving forward whether to go in here or not would depends on whether all of the doors were open going to the outside. The dumplings with the edamame were really good, but that's also more about the liquid broth that's in it. You can't just eat the dumplings so I think each item has its own quirk. I have no idea why on a hot day they would have all those doors open and not have the AC running for the people inside that wanted to be cool. Maybe they did have the AC running but with the doors open, it would be pointless.

Service was attentive and gracious. I started with a rose spritz, the avocado carpaccio, and the half roast chicken. The spritz was a delight. Not too sweet, very refreshing. The carpaccio was amazing with the smoked salt, and the briny caviar. My friend ordered the chips and dip, and heaven on earth is combining the two appetizers (a chip topped with avocado and then a dollop of creme fraiche/caviar). The chicken was okay. I should have gone with something else, but I panic-ordered. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't remarkable. I should have gone with a fancy salad or the lobster roll.
