I savored the Great American Cheese Burger (Medium rare) with a side of broccoli and an Oreo Shake. I also enjoyed an Asian Salad topped with hot grilled chicken. Five stars all around! The staff exemplified attentiveness, alertness, and good spirits, gracefully handling upset customers and transforming negative energy into positive solutions. My food was fabulous--the burger was juicy, the broccoli perfectly cooked, the shake was vibrant enough to make me dance, and the Asian salad truly stole the show. I dont usually review a brand unless I have had three visits. Since I dont live in Jax, I am breaking a rule, but safe to say I will never go back. I dont know what this place is trying to be but nothing special for our group. Nice place with a fast food vibe plus wine and beer, and nice peolple. But the food was dissappointing. I would have never agreed to fast pizza, but there I was in a place serving it along with burgers. Well, I got what was expected. A pizza not much better than home delivery chains, and average burgers. But, beer and wine saved the day. Will be back in the same area next month. Wont be back to this place ever. read more

I met up with some friends from church and had dinner recently. This was my first time at the location on Beach Boulevard. Grab a menu, walk up to the cashier, order your food and they give you a number. When you hear your number, go back to the counter and pick up your food. I ordered the Mediterranean salad plus cajun chicken and a chocolate shake. The salad was fresh and delicious. And the Cajun chicken was juicy with a kick that I liked! The chocolate milkshake was a little on the runny side. I prefer a thicker milkshake. The chocolate flavor was good I just didn't like the consistency of the shake. I would absolutely go back to this Loop location. Next time I will be a little more adventurous than a salad;) read more

A couple of things really made this place stand out for me. First, I called literally minutes before closing to place an order and they accepted it. Second, likely due to the late hour, they forgot the chicken on both Asian chicken salads. When I called back the restaurant was clearly closed but someone actually still answered the phone and they offered us a credit for two entrees. So we placed another to go order a couple of days later. Everything that we tried here was good, from the burger to the pizza, feta Mediterranean salad, salmon sandwich, and the Oreo shake! I'd only had a burger from here at a catered event years ago before my recent order so I was glad to to be able to explore the menu a little bit more. Meh. Food: Feta salad w/ crispy chicken - light on the feta, heavy on croutons. The vegetables were fresh. I got the shallot vinaigrette with it but wish I hadn't. It was salty with no real flavor. Tomato soup - good flavor but a little thick for my preference. It comes with Asiago croutons but those didn't really wow me. Steak fries - good and crispy. You can order then extra crispy but I think at that point they would be burnt. Perfect as is. Chocolate shake - not worth the money. Little flavor and not very creamy. Get dessert elsewhere if you're craving something sweet. Sauces: I tried a couple different sauces. The lemon dill was my favorite as it was very flavorful. The honey Dijon was also very good. What can I say? Plain and simple, I'm a big fan of The Loop. It's a Jacksonville staple, like your furry friend, that's always there for you. It delivers a consistent product across all locations. This Beach Blvd. location is extremely beautiful and well lit. They even have a few seats out front on the patio, but you might need to wait a few more weeks to sit outside. I brought my parents and grandpa here for a reliable, affordable and filling meal. And that's exactly what we received in return. I ordered something different, the Cajun Salmon Sandwich, and boy it was tasty! The salmon itself was long and thin, and didn't fit terribly well on the bun. Convenience aside, this paired with a mustard sauce was straight up delicious! The Achilles heal of The Loop, and all their locations for that matter, are ticket times and slow service. Even though it's an order at the counter joint, the cashier seemed to be overwhelmed with our fairly basic order. On a slow Sunday nifty and only one other table in the restaurant, we waited a rather long time for our food. Don't let the service keep you from coming here though. We went to this spot a few weeks ago to celebrate their anniversary and we had a wonderful time! The customer service at this location is excellent...friendly staff and always attentive to customer needs. We have some favorites at The Loop including their BBQ Chicken Pesto pizza and their Loop Burger. We tend to always order these two dishes but I have never heard disappointment from others on their other menu items. We especially love the ambience of this Loop...it's clean, spacious and beautiful! The natural lighting in this restaurant really elevates it to another level in comparison to other Loop's in the city. When we want a good burger, we usually wind up at the Loop. This location is newer here in Jacksonville, and is always clean and nice. The lighting seemed a little bright, but that's probably because I've become accustomed to the lower lighting of all the sushi places we've gotten used to. I believe the placement of things in this location needs a little work. I went to get my soda (can't have a burger without a soda!) but could not find a plastic lid to go on the cup. They weren't placed by the soda fountain. And the condiments were also located away from where you get sodas. Not a big deal, really, but when busy I could see it becoming an issue navigating through the people in line to gather things to take back to the table. We both order the Loop N Cheddar, cooked medium rare. They always get it right and in my opinion, the Loop burger is one of the best in town. Their steak fries are right on, and no one does them better! Always a nice spot for a quick bite! We will undoubtedly be back many times more ;) read more

Always a favorite spot for burgers! Once we mention The Loop, that's it we're there! This is a nice location and it is clean and decorated nicely. The soda fountain and the napkins utensils, etc. are placed oddly. It didn't flow well with the space. It was also difficult to find where the booster and high chairs were located. The burgers are cooked to perfection along with the steak fries that never disappoint. We also ordered the chocolate shake and we got less than we were used too at other locations. What an amazing luck that this little place is now down the street from my place haha! I'm so happy this local chain has blossomed and expanded successfully throughout Jax. We came here hungry (obviously) and decided to get a few favorites, but honestly you can't go wrong with anything on this menu. The burgers are cooked to perfection, juicy and fresh tasting. The blue cheese chips are elevated with a smoky taste and crisp homemade texture that balances the richness of the blue cheese. The honey mustard chicken sandwich is another favorite that I'd suggest if burgers aren't your thing. That salad is the SIDE salad and look how huge it is!! I got a glimpse of someone's entree salad and it looked sooo yummy. Lots of toppings, big enough for a meal for sure. Finally, the milkshakes are worth every calorie! We split the oreo milkshake and it was sooooo delicious. Made fresh with actual crushed oreo cookies. They don't skimp on the amount either. They'll give you any extra that doesn't fit into your classic-diner style glass. Treat yo' self. Finally the staff: Super friendly, always helpful and overall efficient. You order at the counter and then take a buzzer to your table. We waited longer than I expected but it wasn't terrible. I got the Chinese chicken salad which was full of delicious chicken.
