One of your better options for pho in Everett. Decent sized portion, flavorful broth with a good amount of meat and noodles. The menu itself is quite overwhelming, ranging from specialities such as Bun Bo Hue (beef noodle soup), Bun Thit Nuong (rice vermicelli noodles with meat), escargot, rice dishes, etc. lots of options and would take at least 10 trips to even get a decent taste of all the food options available. You know this place is legit because there's a lot of other Vietnamese people here. Honestly feels like straight up Vietnam and depending what kind of customer is there, you might learn some Vietnamese through osmosis. I only took a picture of the Banh beo. It wasn't bad, obviously not as good as Vietnam but it's going to be pretty good for what's available in Everett. The fish sauce has good flavor but the weird thing is it's topped with croutons instead of the typical fried pork rind (similar to chicharrones). Besides that, the Banh beo comes off the plate with ease (run your spoon around the edge and then move in for the scoop). Like almost pho places, pretty casual dining experience so don't expect all the table settings to be on each table haha. But staff was nice and they give you a discount if you pay the bill with cash/Venmo (v authentic). read more

The traditional garlic is good, or to get your taste buds going, opt for the tamarind flavor ones. The Pineapple Fried Rice has good presentation and a fresh pineapple taste. Unassuming place next to highway 99 serving a wide range of southeastern Asian cuisine. I got a pork bahn mi with some broth to make it a Vietnamese dip. Service was friendly and they cared about the food. The location is a little sketchy, however it doesn't take away from the food hitting the spot. Prices were fairly reasonable, and with a large range on the menu, it's hard to find something you won't enjoy. Next time I'm in the area i'll be sure to try their Thai selections. read more

This place was okay as for the seafood part (snails, clams and scallops). Wasn't fresh and definitely could tell it was previously frozen. You can taste the slight freezer burn taste. Ordered cockles with tamarind sauce, snails with salty egg sauce, blood clams with pepper sauce, scallops with quail eggs, beef with betal leaf and water fern cake (banh beo chen). The beef with betal leaf was a little dry, but it had a nice refreshing pickled salad that came with it. Out of all the seafood we ordered, I probably like the salty egg snails most. Calling all Viet Q, and Vietnamese food lovers. Please get over here and support this restaurant, before they cut down their menu. It's huge, see below, minus about 5 pages. They have most of the street food appetizers I saw in DaNang about 2 months ago. They've already dropped the spicy stir fried duck eggs. Darn. We've had a lot of dishes in our 2 visits. They have all the normal rice and vermicelli dishes, plus pho, plus bun São, plus bun mang vit, They also have 3 types of hot pot, and lots of broiled oyster, clam, mussel, and snail dishes. I almost gave them a four star, because both times one of my 4 oysters were mushy. They have reasonably priced beer, which helped me wash down the mushy oyster, and not have any problems with it. See what I mean, they need lots of people to order lots of things, to sustain this menu. read more

I dined on a spicy beef noodle soup that was unlike any other - a plentiful portion of protein left me feeling quite sated indeed. But let's talk about the food. The spicy beef noodle soup is a standout packing a serious punch of flavor and a hearty portion of protein. And if you're a seafood lover you simply must try the 4 flavors grilled oyster - it's a game-changer. Now I know you might be a bit hesitant about the stir-fry yellow spotted snail with salty eggs - I mean let's be real it sounds a little out there. But trust me it's surprisingly delicious. Grilled scallops w quail eggs / So Diep Nuong Trung Cut ($13 4/5) 6 grilled scallops of decent size and cooked just right, came out on a sizzling plate, eaten w a mystery green sauce that is some mix of fish sauce with some other ingredients for a very refreshing, spicy, and slightly sour / acidic twist on the scallops. Heard & saw that there was going to be a Bun & Oc location up north in Everett and I was super excited about it because I been wanting to try the Seattle location but never had the chance since I live up North! So you know I had to order a list full to try it with my family because we miss the Oc that we had back in Vietnam. I made my order to go on Yelp(grub hub) so that I can just pick it up, but when walking inside the restaurant, the place was bright and roomy and we were greeted super fast by one of the worker, the lady in the front was also nice and gave us our order right away. So customer service was great for the first time. There was so much that I ordered but overall but two favorite was So Long Nuong Mo Hanh( Grilled Bloody Clam with Green Onion) & Oc Bông Sao Trung Muoi(Stir Fry Snail with Salted Egg).The two that was a disappointment to me was the Chem Chep Nuong Pho Mai(Mussel grilled with cheese) & Ngheu Hap Thai(Steamed Clam Thai Style). First, the mussel would be better if you eat it right away because once you bring it home, the mussel was stuck to its shell and the shell crumbles. The steamed clam was full of sand and the flavor wasn't sweet or sour enough like what Tom yum should be like. Also I wanted to try their Banh Beo & Nui Sao Bo Sot Tieu Den(Stir Fry Macaroni with Black Pepper Beef). They were both delicious, the Macaroni felt like I was back home in Vietnam when my grandma would make me some for lunch! I would love to you how the food tastes but we never got a chance to try it. We waited 20 mins by the door to be seated. There were several tables open with trash on them that weren't being cleaned. There was one table open but it took the full 20 minutes for someone to come seat us. And over all everything on the bottom was wet. Food - 6/10, if you come here I would recommend eating oc (snail/seafood) only. The rest of the dishes were ok. - Banh Hoi Nem Nuong - 3/10 - Banh Beo - 7/10 - Com tam Dac biet - 6/10, broken rice was really dry, pork chop was decent however the meat with tofu curd was too hard, it was like eating another pork chop. - Banh Xeo - 7/10, my mom said the banh Xeo had too much tumeric added into the mixture. - Pineapple fried rice - 4/10, rice was dry, nothing special about the flavor of the fried rice. - Nem Nuong Cuon - 1/10, the dipping sauce was not good, the meat to vegetables ratio was not good. Way too much veggie and a small piece of nem Nuong, it also needs an added crunch to the roll. Came for Saturday lunch. The service was quick, food came within 10 minutes after orders. Saw bad reviews about the service before but I think they improved it. Food was decent but still not as good as Bun & Oc in Seattle. My friend ordered a Bun Bo, there was a small accident. They did apologize and gave us free meal. That was really good responsibility! Better than one of the restaurants I've been to that served me spoiled food without an apology before. For service, I would give 5/5 Food taste, I would give 3/5 Food presentation, I would give 4/5 Hope they will make the food taste better next time! I still recommend this place. The menu specifically includes "short rib" in the dish; however, waiter tells me that I need to pay an additional $3 for the short rib. Bun bo hue is also NOT the same as it used to be. I believe they changed owner. The portion is so tiny - not worth the high price. Save your money and go somewhere else. Very poor quality and quantity of food now! I'm sorry, I have NO idea why this place has 3.3 starts. You guys are tripping, this is one of THE best vietnamese food places out there. I love pho, bahn mi and noodles, don't get me wrong, but I have yet to find a single vietnamese restaurant that serves anything other than that. Thay have clams, seafood hotpot, crab fried rice, DIFFERENT noodles, etc. AMAZING selection, a WIDE selection and most importantly a DELICIOUS selection. I tried those long clams with green onion sauce and my soul left my body for a second. The way I gobbled those down was unsightly but that sauce was asking for it. Not to mention the little crispy fried onion in top, mmm, that just added the extra touch they needed. Their vermicelli plates are different too, they have the shrimp sugar cane (WOOEY is all I have to say about that, I always order an extra), and then the beef wrapped in that leaf. I did things to that beef. And guess what. I didn't regret a second of it. AND THE CRAB FRIED RICE, OH MY GOD, careful with that one, cause you're gonna be shoveling that down your throat. I ended up ordering the grilled rice platter and my sister got their Bon Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup). Honestly, the rice platter was great. My sister liked her Bon Bo Hue. Upon arrival, the restaurant was nearly empty, with just my family of three present. Despite the lack of customers, the service was disappointingly slow, particularly in delivering our food. Overall, our experience was underwhelming, with the four dishes we ordered failing to impress: the spring roll was dry, the tamarind oyster overly sweet, the seafood pasta lacking in both flavor and seafood, and the banh xeo containing a meager amount of pork and shrimp, cleverly disguised with an abundance of bean sprouts. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. The food was really good but the service left me feeing unsatisfied with the restaurant. We had a group at 6 and was offered seats on separate sides of restaurant which we respectfully declined but they kept insisting. The seafood took over an hour so I recommend getting full on other stuff first. We realized one of our order wasn't coming out and we asked and they insisted that it was coming and an hour later they realized they didn't even have our order. The balut suace and the balut itself was not at all off putting like I've been led to believe on YT. It was almost like a boiled egg, but a bit meatier and a bit of organ meat taste. My only comment is the Bun Bo Hue. I expected it to be spicier. The beef, other "toppings", and broth were good otherwise. They seemed quite busy and had a lot of people dining in on a Saturday summer evening. Their menu is super interesting, so I'm sure I'll be back to try other stuff. The $10 special pho which includes brisket, meatballs and a rib is such an amazing deal. Lots of noodles and I liked how each pho came with its own toppings and sauce. Portion was so good for the price. I tried the banh beo chen and it was a great appetizer. The croutons added a good crunch and I liked that the fish sauce was not overly powerful. I'll definitely come back for the special pho for lunch during the week. Broth was good but on the fattier side which I prefer. Restaurant was clean and spacious.
