HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!! Instead of reading the menu, just go ahead and ask the waiter what they serve. The menu is NOT accurate. I ordered a P1, which is their special pho with short rib. The menu specifically includes "short rib" in the dish; however, waiter tells me that I need to pay an additional $3 for the short rib. Bun bo hue is also NOT the same as it used to be. I believe they changed owner. The portion is so tiny - not worth the high price. Save your money and go somewhere else. Very poor quality and quantity of food now! Went in on a Saturday. Unfortunately their pho was out of stock :( which was so dissapointing because I went there for the pho. I ended up ordering the grilled rice platter and my sister got their Bon Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup). Honestly, the rice platter was great. My sister liked her Bon Bo Hue. We also tried the fried rice pineapple, which I personally did not like but thats just personal preference. My sister liked it though. Service was good as well. Honestly extremely disappointing. 1) banh beo was cold, which tells me it was refrigerated and heated up/not fresh 2) extremely long piece of hair intertwined in my mediocre bun rieu oc soup North side lacks Vietnamese restaurants and was hoping this would be a good addition, but establishment could make overall improvements. read more

Upon arrival, the restaurant was nearly empty, with just my family of three present. Despite the lack of customers, the service was disappointingly slow, particularly in delivering our food. Overall, our experience was underwhelming, with the four dishes we ordered failing to impress: the spring roll was dry, the tamarind oyster overly sweet, the seafood pasta lacking in both flavor and seafood, and the banh xeo containing a meager amount of pork and shrimp, cleverly disguised with an abundance of bean sprouts. To top it off, the restaurant had an unpleasant odor reminiscent of urine. Would not recommend and way different from when they were located in Seattle. read more

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. The food was really good but the service left me feeing unsatisfied with the restaurant. We had a group at 6 and was offered seats on separate sides of restaurant which we respectfully declined but they kept insisting. The seafood took over an hour so I recommend getting full on other stuff first. We realized one of our order wasn't coming out and we asked and they insisted that it was coming and an hour later they realized they didn't even have our order. I really don't recommend going with a group because they're very busy but the food was really amazing and I would come back solely for that. read more

I got the N1 Bun Rieu Oc (Snails Noodle Soup), N3 Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup), A11 Hot Vit Lon Xao Me (Balut Egg w/ Tamarind Sauce). I've never had any of these dishes/items anywhere else - so it was a first. I can say wow, I was pleasantly surprised! The snail w/ lemon grass and its spices were good. The balut suace and the balut itself was not at all off putting like I've been led to believe on YT. It was almost like a boiled egg, but a bit meatier and a bit of organ meat taste. My only comment is the Bun Bo Hue. I expected it to be spicier. The beef, other "toppings", and broth were good otherwise. They seemed quite busy and had a lot of people dining in on a Saturday summer evening. Their menu is super interesting, so I'm sure I'll be back to try other stuff. They did forget my other balut order. Wish we got to taste another one. I did get a refund, so all good. read more

It was okay but not great. We've been wanting to come here and unfortunately it just didn't hit the spot for us. Lately some of the restaurants I've been going to during their first few weeks of opening, the experiences haven't been that good. Usually when we go during these times is when they have their best food but Bun & Oc, and a couple other ones, just haven't been on point like you would expect. I'm sorry, I have NO idea why this place has 3.3 starts. You guys are tripping, this is one of THE best vietnamese food places out there. I love pho, bahn mi and noodles, don't get me wrong, but I have yet to find a single vietnamese restaurant that serves anything other than that. Thay have clams, seafood hotpot, crab fried rice, DIFFERENT noodles, etc. AMAZING selection, a WIDE selection and most importantly a DELICIOUS selection. I tried those long clams with green onion sauce and my soul left my body for a second. The way I gobbled those down was unsightly but that sauce was asking for it. Not to mention the little crispy fried onion in top, mmm, that just added the extra touch they needed. Their vermicelli plates are different too, they have the shrimp sugar cane (WOOEY is all I have to say about that, I always order an extra), and then the beef wrapped in that leaf. I did things to that beef. And guess what. I didn't regret a second of it. AND THE CRAB FRIED RICE, OH MY GOD, careful with that one, cause you're gonna be shoveling that down your throat. The $10 special pho which includes brisket, meatballs and a rib is such an amazing deal. Lots of noodles and I liked how each pho came with its own toppings and sauce. Portion was so good for the price. I tried the banh beo chen and it was a great appetizer. The croutons added a good crunch and I liked that the fish sauce was not overly powerful. I'll definitely come back for the special pho for lunch during the week. Broth was good but on the fattier side which I prefer. Restaurant was clean and spacious. Ordered the beef leaf wrapped vermicelli and wifey ordered happy hour pho special. Both were good, but the pho should have been left in the pot for a bit longer to give it a stronger broth taste. It was all cooked just right. We plan to come back again to try more dishes. The servers were friendly and got our orders right. We assume that the owner opened this one up as a second location, because there's another one in Seattle. He was behind the register once we paid, so he seemed like a cool guy. Service at this restaurant is extremely terrible. Half of the dishes on the menu (including popular Heineken beer) are not available; they just simply don't have them. Foods are pricey. The waitress is not really helpful. You would have better foods and service somewhere else. We definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. ZERO STAR -- DON'T GO HERE. They completely missed my order. They only brought my husband dish, and after an hour, I flagged my waiter down to asked what about my order? The table next to us came after us, ordered what I ordered and they already got their food. They claimed they had trouble with equipment, well then, how was the others who came after us got the same food I ordered and I'm still waiting for mine. We just paid my husband dish and left. Great vietnamese seafood dishes with lots of shellfish. They have some traditional dishes too, great place to eat family style. Service is still slow since they are new, but over all food is delightful we had razor clams, rice snails, mango salad, roasted squid, bun Thai and bun rieu oc. read more

I used to order food from Bun & Oc Seattle delivered up north. Love Bun & Oc Seattle. I'm so glad they have the new place in Everett. All the Snail Muscle dishes are good. Lemongrass spicy noodles soup tastes authentic but it comes with cold broth for takeout. Hope the broth was not too old. read more

It was my first time trying Bun and Oc in Everett and here are what I thought and why I gave them 3 stars: 1. They have variety of ốc in the menu but when I order them they said they don't have and asked me to choose different ones. 2. The price seems reasonable/low but portion is really small compared to other restaurants. 3. The presentation is not attractive, looks cheap but to be fair the taste is good . I ordered 2 different kinds of noodles to try (bún mắm and bún riêu ốc) cả 2 loại bún điều được cho cùng 1 loại rau ăn kèm đó là bắp cải, không có rau mùi, không có bắp chuối hoặc là rau muống... Nói chung nếu nhìn qua giá cả thì nghỉ là rẻ nhưng thực tế thì kg rẻ bởi vì những lý do nói trên. You can try one to experience yourself and see if you have the same thought as mine, basically, IT IS NOT MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT, it's just OK to go to once in a while. read more

Easy 5/5, the place is authentic compared to their Seattle location and offers many of the same menu items. The Banh Beo is the sought after item here, more often than not you'd always have to make your way to Seattle previously to get that sort of thing. I settled with the Bún Bò Huế (noodle soup from Central VietNam) - the broth was hot & just spicy enough to make you inhale & quickly take another spoonful. Inside restaurant was not well prepared with no napkins, no forks, no spoons, no chopsticks, etc. No beers or wines even though the owner keep saying (or lying) that he's getting the license for it.
