I am in middle school and I have been doing these sewing classes for 3 years with my friends, and I love it! The staff is so nice and encouraging. It is the highlight of my week, I always am able to make the cutest projects! I am now able to fix things at home for my family because of this class. Before this sewing class I could not sew one bit, but now my parents say the things I made look professional! My daughter went with her 3 besties for their summer camp week. And they had an amazing time. Their projects were so impressively done. Other than my daughter, the other girls never sewed before. But you wouldn't have known it. It was amazing with what they came back with. They can't wait until another session next Summer. The studio is organized, clean and very professional. My daughter has been taking sewing classes with Yvonne for the past 2 years. We love the variety of projects and the hands on instruction. In October, 2020, we tried a virtual class. The project was very challenging but Ms. Yvonne was very patient and encouraging, despite the challenge of instructing virtually and during a quarantine. We are so thankful that Bumblebunch has been offering in-person classes. The tables are spaced for social distancing and the smaller class sizes are perfect for more personal instruction. Such a cute studio and awesome teacher to student ratio! It really helped my daughter learn some basics of sewing. She completed 3 summer project classes and enjoyed making new friends and learning her way around different types of sewing machines. My daughter is 14 years old, I was a bit worried she would feel it was not "cool" but after making an adorable doll set and a snazzy tote bag, she was hooked! Her last project, the bomber jacket, was a bit more involved, but she enjoyed the challenge and she hopes to take sewing classes during the regular school year at Bumblebunch. Amazing, talented, kind, creative, knowledgeable, patient, the list could go on! My oldest started here and her sister quickly followed as soon as she saw this adorable sewing studio with all the different fabrics and possibilities. They are amazingly patient with the kids in teaching them a valuable skill. They are coming up with new fabrics and projects and have given my girls a new creative outlet. Ms. Yvonne is absolutely AMAZING, kind, and patient. She has a true talent in working with children and knowing how to teach them the skill of sewing at their pace. My eldest started sewing classes via Zoom during the pandemic, then in-person once the studio opened. My daughter has come home happy every time and the sense of pride she has after she has completed her creation is EVERYTHING. My other daughter has been at the studio since it opened in-person. She had no previous experience and Ms. Yvonne has been instrumental in developing her skills. My daughter went from having no interest in sewing to not being able to wait for her next class. I was hoping for a good sewing experience for my daughters and our friend. Instead, they were uncomfortable and disheartened with very rude teachers who never introduce themselves and referred to one of my daughters as "the other girl" or "you" when their names are clearly written on their tables. 6 month update: my daughter has continued to take weekly classes since the day she left her first Saturday camp class here. She absolutely loves this studio. She has learned soooo much about sewing and comes home and sews up a storm. She even saved up her money and bought her own sewing machine. She usually finishes her project after 3-4 classes. She's made everything from tote bags, clothes, pillows and home decor. The student gets to pick their own project once they complete their first few classes. This was the FIRST place I've ever left my child alone (she's homeschooled) and I have not once been worried about her. At drop off I am confident the teachers are present, my daughter is learning, having fun and most importantly is safe. Because my child has decided to change schools our journey is coming to an end at this studio. But I know she will miss her weekly classes. I can't recommend this sewing studio enough. What a gem of a business! Since moving out here, we were so blessed to find a sewing studio for kids. Yvonne, the owner, is so friendly, creative, professional and my daughters LOVE her sewing classes, and sewing camps (which she also offers during the holiday breaks and summer). My kids actually want to use and KNOW how to operate my sewing machine and ask to go the fabric store. My daughters were already creative, but now they are more so from Bumblebunch's Sewing Studio.
