It is your choice on how big or small you want it and how you would like to paint it as well. Just note that you should not paint the bottom of it so when they can bake it, it will be ok. Overall the session was fun and yes your hands will be a little messy from the clay but you can wash them, inside of the studio towards the back. I came with a party of four and all of us came with something unique and different. I would do this again and can't wait for my next projects. Oh yeah, you will not get it right away you have to let it stay a few days and they will leave it outside with a locker code so you can pick it up anytime after it gets baked in the oven.

My kids are 7 and 9 and love arts and crafts and I wanted to get them into a more structured setting to learn the basics of drawing and shading. Mrs. Gracesol is very kind and attentive. Each child works individually during the class, but gets individual instruction and feedback on their project. Enrollment is monthly w/ 4 classes. She has been very prompt to reply to my emails and texts and couldn't be happier with the experience. The classes are held in a semi industrial area of Claremont, but the art/classroom itself is fun and inviting. I definitely recommend if you're looking for an art class to help build skills.

We scrambled for a last-minute change of plans, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect. They were incredibly accommodating: we hosted the birthday party right in the studio, decorated the space, brought our own food and non-alcoholic drinks, and set up a special designated area for the birthday girl and her friends. Laura and Bob were beyond patient and so helpful with the kids, guiding them every step of the way to make sure everything came out just right. The selection of pottery pieces is huge (overwhelming in the best way) and they even surprised us with a complimentary plate featuring all her friends' little fingerprints. What a thoughtful touch! It was such a fun, creative day, and everyone stayed nice and dry. Highly recommend for families, especially when plans go sideways.

The setup was really easy to follow, and they provide you with the colors you'll need throughout the class, which was nice. There was also more than enough space at the tables for a bottle of wine and a snack, which is always a plus. My painting came out WAY better than I expected, especially because I'm a terrible artist lol. The host wasn't the most helpful, though. She would give a nice 5-minute speech every 30-45 minutes, but it wasn't really a step-by-step process. I completely understand that everyone's pet is different, so it would be hard to teach the exact same process for every painting, but it just didn't really feel like she was "teaching" us throughout the class. Now, I have to give ALL my praise to the Purple Easels artists who were walking around helping everyone, especially Eden. That girl is AMAZING!! She was so helpful and knowledgeable. I would literally wait for her to come by so I could steal some knowledge from her. The other artists were walking around and helping too, but I noticed that Eden genuinely seemed to enjoy her job, which made it so easy to ask her for help. She actually took the time to explain what she was doing and why, instead of just telling me what color to use. My painting would NOT have come out this amazing without her guidance.
