Their prices are a bit more premium (around $45 for a gel manicure, a $35 upcharge for ombré tips, and about $49 for a regular pedicure), but I felt the quality of the work and overall experience were well worth it. My technician, Polly, was fantastic. She took the time to dry my hands with a warm towel after I washed them, gave me a shoulder massage while my nails were curing, and made sure I knew the price of each part of the service every step of the way. She also checked in throughout to make sure I was happy with the color, shade, and shape of my nails. Between Polly's attention to detail, the very clean environment, and the professional service, I'll absolutely be coming back. It felt like the extra touches actually justified the slightly higher price point, which I really appreciated!

It's located in the Fort Greene/Clinton Hill ( I'm still learning the area...) Anyway, I felt perfectly safe coming here, it's not ghetto by any means. Lots of different people as clients and walking the streets. Black, white, Asian and Hispanics people. I've been to many nail salons in VA and I must say for prices this cheap it would've been in the dumps back home. I thought it would be dirty inside but nope...very clean and I'm a neat freak. The ladies inside were super nice too. I waited maybe 5 minutes top and it was a Sunday. The lady who did my mani/pedi, Angela took her time explaining everything and made me feel right at home. I never remember people's name but her's is branded because of the great service I received. My biggest complaint is the brands they use but so far my nails are faring well. I also received a lip and chin wax as well (no double dipping here). Overall, I paid 45 bucks for everything, super cheap in my book considering the quality, the timing and the amount of services ( I also had gel polish removal). Back home I would have paid at least 80 to 90 bucks for all that. While I waited for my nails to dry I received a quick back massage, amazing. Overall, I will be back. No doubt.

However, today I witnessed something which made me sick to my stomach. I even went to some super fancy place in Manhattan a couple of months ago that didn't compare to my favorite nail spot in park slope. If you have time, the special pedicure that includes a 10-minute massage is totally worth it. Nyima gave a phenomenal foot and calf massage, and her pedicure skills are on point! I know it can be a tiring and thankless job, so I just wanted to give her a shout-out! The space itself is unique because it sits on a second-floor, corner spot with walls of windows overlooking 7th Ave and Union. The ventilation is good because I'm normally sensitive to smells. I never have a problem here. There are at least 4 other places to choose from within a few blocks, but I highly recommend this one!

I removed the rest of the polish to find that I had fungus growing under my toenail and lost half of my nail. When I remove the toenail polish on the other foot, the same thing was happening on my other toenail. I have not been back since, and my toenails are still healing and recovering. Two nails with literally only 5 rhinestones cost an additional $30! They list them as "Swarovski crystals" but they're just rhinestones. And considering that it was only only two fingers and it wasn't full rhinestone that it would be cheaper. I paid $90. Nonetheless, I loved my nails and would return. I'll choose one I like that's not old or use mine that I always have with me. Amy actually took care of the little toe peeves I have and usually have to ask the techs to take care of without any prompting. I was indeed surprised and pleased. She knows her stuff. My gorsh! I actually take pretty decent care of my feet so I didn't need a scrub or any extras but I was a bit disappointed I didn't because I could have had this lady touching my feet a wee bit longer, she was so good. She got every iota of dirt and excess cuticle out. I actually turned my massage chair off because her touch was so much better. Her scrub was divine and never did she miss any part of my feet. **sighs** She even wiped the flip-flops I wore before putting them back on my feet. **Double sighs** The salon is small and neat. Very quiet with a telly in the background. The clientele is nice and descent too. This is unusual for Fulton Street. Ask a friend that lives down on these parts. Hahahaha. I love my people.
