Me and my mom have been going for 4 years every 2 weeks and I've added it up, I've probably spent 8000 dollars there over that time between me and my mom. Management was so rude after I recieved an unacceptably bad manicure that I won't be giving them anymore of my money. The nail techs there are so nice and professional, but Management treated me like someone trying to hussle them not like a long time loyal customer who has never complained in 4 years. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I came in expecting a professional and relaxing experience and left completely humiliated. I was charged $200 for a set of nails that looked NOTHING like what I asked for. The quality was awful--uneven, sloppy, and nowhere near worth that price. What makes this even more frustrating is that I was perfectly pleasant and respectful the entire time. I even brought in a clear photo for reference--nothing crazy or difficult--and just asked her to follow it. First time visit to Honey Nail for a gel manicure and I'm so surprised that it gets such middle of the road ratings. Maybe I got lucky with a great tech, but I'm thrilled with how precise she was in shaping and trimming my nails, which are very short due to breakage and extra hard to work with. But they look amazing and I know they'll grow out beautifully. When I was indecisive about color (and they were out of my initial choice), she let me try a few to decide, which I appreciated. She did a great job polishing too and they look terrific! The salon was quiet and calm, and while a little tired looking in spots (paint chipping off cabinets, fuzz on the doormat), I found the workspaces and tools to be quite clean. This was my first trip to a nail salon and I was not disappointed. I booked an appointment for a gel manicure because I heard they last longer than regular polishes, and was able to secure something within a couple days. Anna was my technician and she was very kind, efficient, and made the whole experience fun and easy. Partway through the manicure I asked about booking a pedicure and she was able to accommodate right then and there. At the end of the day, I got a gel manicure and basic pedicure for $87 and I'm no nail expert but I think they came out great. They enforce social distancing at al of the stations, everyone is masked, they sanitize the stations, and have you was your hands upon entry. It felt safe at this establishment. read more

The first thing I noticed about this salon when I walked in was how clean it was! Tiffany did a great job with my gel manicure. She was thorough, talked me through every step and was gentle while filing(i have sensitive nail beds). It was a bit pricey but the service was great. Things to know: They give a 5% discount if you pay with cash. There is a $20 minimum if using a credit card. Tips are paid with cash or Venmo. If you have acrylic, I suggest removing them yourself. My extensions feel so secure and I am so happy with my nails! She was also very patient with me as I changed my mind about the color. This has been my go-to nail salon for the last few years. Unfortunately, this has been my last appointment with them. Not sure if they've come under new management, but the quality of customer service is nonexistent. I came in for a mani-pedi and was met with rudeness and was rushed. My cuticles were left a mess and there was polish and top coat all over my skin because she polished sloppily. Tried speaking to the supervisor and she was very curt and not very accommodating. The manicurist she asked to fix my nails tried convincing me that there was nothing wrong. No apologies were ever issued and they proceed to discuss the matter in another language in front of me without speaking to me about it. The lack of transparency was really upsetting. I absolutely love Honey Nails! Been going for about 6 years now, started at the Myrtle location, which I loved, but now I go to the Franklin Ave location since it's closer to home. This place is always very clean, Tiffany is my nail tech & she's wonderful! I used to get gel mani's but about a year ago I switched to SNS Powder, I'm always happy & satisfied with my mani & it lasts over 3 weeks!!!! She does a wonderful job, I have oval shaped nails and they always look amazing! Tiffany takes her time & always gets it right! She's pleasant, professional & friendly! My friend scheduled the appointment, I arrived late but they still accommodated me. I finished my pedicure so fast, max 20 minutes, my feet didn't even really get to soak. My skin at the bottom wasn't smooth after the scrubbing. I waited for my feet to dry. By this point I guess my tech left because I did my own oil and wrapped my toes with the plastic bag so it wouldn't get fcked up. It was giving self service even after I tipped. My friend got a full set. Since she got three colors she had to pay for an extra color. The woman did a decent job with her set. I got a basic manicure / pedicure which was $70 and felt overpriced for what it was. As others have noted, the pedicure station is not very clean - the cushions, the tile, the floor. Felt like I needed flip flops to even put my feet in the tub to soak. The manicure station had someone else's clipped nails all over and on the floor. This place is very hit or miss, but I've had more negative experiences than positive ones. In terms of pros, Honey has a nice atmosphere and generally feels very clean. The biggest issue is the level of service, there is no consistency in the quality from the different technicians. I have had two great experiences, and I have had several average to downright terrible experiences. My last visit the technician was unwelcoming and negligent throughout the service. I felt that she was inattentive, often looking around the salon at whatever else was going on, and offering only a curt "Sorry" when she sliced my cuticle open. My advice for others: 1) Do not make an appointment within one hour of closing. You will be rushed out, and the service feels second-rate. 2) Find a technician you like, stick with him/her, and tip them well. I have had my nails done by Joy, and she was amazing both times--meticulous, efficient, and caring. I will likely keep coming to Honey because of the convenience, however if my preferred technician is not available I will come back only when she is there. read more

After searching high and low for a clean nail salon that does SNS in Brooklyn I landed here. The booking process was very simple and they sent a reminder text and email before the appointment. Being able to include a note when booking was also a nice touch so I could tell them there was an SNS removal needed. There was no extra charge for SNS removal either. I arrived about 10 minutes early but my nail tech was there and ready with a smile and a warm towel. The person at the desk took my temperature, then I washed my hands and we got started. Ivy did an amazing job on my nails! She was gentle when removing the old SNS and checked in with me a few times to make sure I was comfortable. She wore gloves for almost the entire time and sanitized them after getting the SNS powder. Overall my experience was amazing and I am soo glad I went. Ivy was really nice and the only reason the review has 4 stars is because I want to see how long it lasts. I would highly recommend this place on cleanliness and ease when booking alone. I came in to get my nail extensions taken off. They told me it would be a 15 dollar service. Polly took my nails off and cut and buffed them and then when i went to pay the lady at the front desk told me it's an additional 15 dollars for the cut and buff. FYI: I would give them 3.5 stars but you can't do half stars on Yelp. I have been to Honey's a few times because it is very close to my apartment. In terms of service they have always been friendly and greeted me nicely when I've walked in. No issues there. In terms of service it has been hit or miss depending on what I get. The pedicures are usually solid and last as any other pedicure would. The gel manicure is usually OK and will last as expected. I DO NOT recommend getting the SNS powder dip nails at this salon. Each time I have gotten it here it has lasted LESS than a week! I have had no problems with powder dip from other salons with it lasting up to 3 weeks. Not worth the money. It's a little pricey in general as well, especially when the manicures don't always last. Will likely try other salons in the area. read more

I always feel relaxed and not rushed here. I typically get pedicures and often get the spa option (scrub with massage). I feel like the staff take their time and I walk away with skin and nails looking good. The design of the salon is nice as well- pedicures in a private room in the back and manicures up front. Everything is clean with a lot of white (which always makes me feel like things are kept cleaner). It is a bit pricey, so I don't always go here (I usually go here every other pedicure and then get a very basic pedicure somewhere else in-between). And, I find customers talk on their phones and the staff doesn't say anything. I've gone to other nicer places where there's tasteful "please avoid talking on your phone to ensure everyone has a relaxing experience" signs. I wish they could incorporate something similar as I don't always want to put in headphones. I came here last minute for a wax, Tiffany was more than happy to help me. First of all this entire salon is a zen experience. The music is soft and beautiful, the ambiance in general is very relaxing. Tiffany gave me a Brazilian was with the sensitive skin wax, it hurt slightly because it was my first time getting a wax in a while. She did very small sections making it easier to wax and used a new stick every time. We talked during the wax so it wasn't awkward at all and the results were perfect! She went in with tweezers and got the tiny hairs left over after the wax as well. 10/10 would recommend ! read more

I've been to this nail salons a few times. I'm not happy with the hostess Vivienne! When you give a tip and she thinks it's not enough she gives these dirty looks as if she's forcing you to give a big tip as if you're not already paying a hefty bill for a gel manicure and pedicure. Not to mention 2 of my nails are already chipped and I just got them done yesterday. Vivienne seemed like she caters to her white clients more than her black clients. I watched her very closely because I didn't want to make such judgement however when her white customers came in she walked them to the sink, squirted the soap in their hands, turned the water on and off and gave them paper towel. I have specific needs at the same time I have things I do as well to make it work for me. Vivian the manager is very on point. She is very knowledgable and she runs the salon very efficiently. Long story short, my gel manicure became discolored within 2 days & the salon unfortunately did not have viable solution. Additional details below: I just opened my first popup shop for the jewelry brand I manage & got my nails done at Honey last Sunday (7 days ago) so I would be prepared for our Tuesday opening. You need nice nails when selling fine jewelry! I usually go to salons in the city but I live around the corner from Honey, really like the girls there, and always leave with beautiful nails. However, within 2 days of my latest gel my grey + silver sparkle nails started becoming discolored with a dark green/brown color. I apply my makeup with brushes, haven't been cooking (too busy!), and aren't wearing any clothes that transfer colors, so this was really unusual. The discoloration looks like it is below the clear top coat. I usually only wear light colors (nude, cream, grey, etc) and have never experienced something like this in my 7 years of gel loyalty. Because I'm selling jewelry my nails are front and center, so having this discoloration is embarrassing. Plus, I usually get a lot of compliments on my nails & always tell people where I've gotten them done to hopefully kick some business the salons way. I haven't been able to stop in to Honey to show them the discoloration at all this past week as they open and close while I'm at work. I leave the neighborhood at 8 and don't get home until 8/8:30. I was finally able to stop in this morning, as I was opening the store later than usual. I spoke to the manager and showed her the discoloration and she was first assuming that it could be wiped off. Mind you, I've spent multiple hours this week scrubbing my nails with brushes, towels, and all types of cleanser to try and remedy the problem myself. But nothing was working! The manager and a few of the girls scrubbed and struggled for several minutes to try and prove to me that they could fix this & that it was a personal problem (like I'm covered in dirt that I don't know how to clean off?) but unsurprisingly (to me) their efforts did nothing. They were convinced there was a small change, that the discoloration was fainter, but I didn't see a difference. I stopped in hoping to show them the problem and work out a solution that wouldn't be a quick fix. I didn't want them to just wipe/scrub the discoloration off (even if that could work). I really wanted to set an appointment for later in the day when I was off of work, where I could put a different color on my nails; the grey was obviously reacting to something, causing discoloration. I wanted them to offer to make things right, because let's be honest, a gel manicure should last at least 2 weeks, which is why I exclusively get that type of manicure dozens of times a year (every 2.5-3 weeks). Unfortunately my opinion of Honey has changed dramatically since my first visit 5 months ago. The manager told me I would have to pay full price again, with maybe a small discount (nothing was guaranteed, and an actual discount amount wasn't provided to me), which didn't sound promising. I just paid full price for nails that degraded in quality within 48 hours with little wear-and-tear & now I'd have to roll the dice again and waste more money? I sell custom jewelry and manage customer service. I know what it takes to retain your integrity as a business while remedying an issue. I always replace an item when needed, and if it was not a manufacturer defect I always, always, meet the customer halfway. I honestly think the issue stems from my tech not letting each layer set long enough inside of the machine. Usually each layer requires at least 30, if not 60, seconds. My tech honestly only kept my nails under for mere seconds. I noticed how odd this was and mentioned it to her but she assured me it was fine. If the manager of Honey is OK with the gross nails they've given me waving around in front of people's faces until I can go to Valley Nails or Vanity Projects or Primp & Polish or Paibtbox or Chillhouse or Tenoverten to get them fixed, fine by me. If something goes wrong with the jewelry I sell I fix it ASAP & make the situation right, because the last thing I want is a bad example of who I am or what I do out in the public. I was told to come back later, when I'm on my way home, to see if there was something they could do (again, no guarantee, no firm details). But, look, I'm tired. I'm working 60+ hour weeks. I want to get my nails done when I set the time aside and have it right the first time. I want my moneys worth and I don't want to waste my time. Maybe I'll go back to Honey in the future when I'm desperate and can't get an appointment at the better quality salons. The manager from Honey is super sweet and just doing her job, but I assumed they would have better customer service. I have an appointment at Valley tomorrow, they're ready to see the problem from Honey and help me out! Can't wait! read more
