I called your firm on Wednesday to schedule a termite inspection for an 86,000 square foot commercial property. I was told someone would go out within 48 hours to do the inspection. I called today to follow up, and no one had any record of my request. Someone called me back and asked me information about the property as if I had never called, which was not the case. I called your company off the project due to frustration with the customer service I received. I work for a large commercial real estate company who was looking for a pest/termite vendor who could help us with numerous properties, but we will definitely never use your company again. read more

I wanted to like Bulwark but they have really let us down. We have scorpions in our house so we contacted them to take care of it. We scheduled them to come out every other month. They also agree to come out again whenever you need them to. When their tech came out, he walked around the interior of our home and sprayed doors and windows with an aerosol can. Then he sprayed the yard with a house using what appears to be Cy-kick, which we had already used ourselves without any luck. However, he used about 7 gallons of it whereas we were only using about 2 gallons per spraying so we hoped the higher concentration or saturation would help. We have had them coming out for about 4 months now, with I think at least one out-of-rotation spraying. We still have scorpions. I have been stung twice and we are uncomfortable in our home because of this. The techs that come inside do not do a very thorough job, they just lightly spray the base of the doors and windows and they are gone in two minutes. They don't focus on fixtures, baseboards, outlets, or anything like that, just doors and windows. It always felt very rushed, like they just want to get on to the next customer. Each time we had a spraying done by Bulwark, a different tech would show up, so each time we had to re-explain everything we wanted. It would be nice to have the same person every time so they could familiarize themselves with our property. Because our problem has not subsided, we contacted a different company that specializes in scorpion removal, then called Bulwark to cancel our spraying. The person on the phone told us that we had a one year contract that we had to uphold and that we could not cancel. Neither myself nor my wife recall agreeing to a one year contract, so we asked them to produce a copy of said contract and email it to us. They told us it would be emailed that day but we never got it. I called the next day and they told us they were still looking for it. Three days later and we still don't have it. I'm assuming this is because it doesn't exist, because we didn't sign it. If it does exist, then my next assumption is that the first tech slipped it in without telling us, which would seem very underhanded. I also told the person on the phone that we are still having significant scorpion problems, and I expressed my frustration with the various techs and less-than-thorough performance. He became very "salesman" like and tried to upgrade my service to monthly instead of every other month. I suppose if that is what it takes then that is fine, but it seemed like a pressured approach to sell more when we were unhappy with the service to begin with. So their "money back guarantee" is really a guarantee to sell you more. We did not get our money back or even an offer for it. He also told me that he would contact a specialist scorpion truck, who would then contact me and schedule a full detailed service, and that we get this service free with our service once per year. The call for that truck also never came; he said I would receive a call back within an hour to schedule the service. Its been a day at this point and still no scheduling call. We believed we were scheduled for another regular spraying today. My wife stayed home from work to meet them. They didn't show or call. When we called to inquire about the status, they did not have a record of our appointment, so now they are trying to fit us in sometime. This has been a very frustrating experience - we just want the scorpions gone. UPDATE: One further problem: we got a bill from Bulwark threatening to send us to collections. As it turns out, they opened two different accounts for our one address, and our payment only applied to the first account. We had called about this before and they assured us that it was taken care of, but we still ended up getting bills. We were able to finally cancel our service today. read more

Tyler has been providing service for about the past six months. Like previous Bulwark technicians he's always polite, personable, and interested in providing the best possible service. He always takes the time to ask whether we're having any particular pest issues and then addresses them accordingly. Bulwark notifies us the day before a service call and Tyler always contacts us when he's on his way to our house. We've been thoroughly pleased with Bulwark and Tyler. Cancelled service because they would only come by and spray outside. They tried to make it right with a "free" follow up appointment to spray inside. I agreed and they showed up and did inside. 2 months later, bill on my back step (without a call that they were coming) that they serviced the property again! Called CS and they said that they would have to go to the tape of the call to ensure that I cancelled. Did not hear anything for 45 days, then get a follow up reminder of the bill. After to speaking to CS again, got a call back saying that they listen to the call and I did not cancel! Unbelievable. You think your bug infestation is bad, wait till you let Bulwark into your home. read more

Initial service went great. 2 weeks later I had carpenter bees and when I called the initial response was they could not service bees that were inside my walls. When I asked to terminate my service they decided they could take care of the bees. They set up an appointment for 2 days later and never showed up or even bothered to call. I called the next day and was put on hold for 20 min. Gave up and tried again the following day only to be put on hold 10 minutes before I hung up. When I did reach someone who could help me today I simply wanted to terminate my service and they tried to pass me on to a third representative before I simply gave my information for the final time and asked them never to call or come by my house again. read more

Not sure I understand all these high marks. I called them for a termite inspection in Peoria based on Yelp reviews. Called the main office and they were going to have a technician call me. A week later, no call, so I called back. Couple days later I got a call back from a technician who. Gave him all the info and he said he would go out and do the inspection - but call my tenant first. Two weeks later, they have not called or showed up for the inspection. I can only think their actual work isn't any better. read more

An updated review-- First, our tech Austin M. did a fantastic job, is always respectful not only of us, but also of our home and our concerns. He took the time to fully understand our scorpion problem, and hit it hard. So, that's 5 stars for Austin. As for Bulwark, we've had the service for three years now and we are very happy. When you need additional treatments they are out at your home within a day or two. Our scorpion problem has been cut in half each year. Not too mention they handle all pests, so when we have a hive of bees show up in an olive tree, they were there to take care of it, no extra charge. Same is true of roof rats. read more

Extremely happy with my first pest control service with Bulwark. I called Bulwark after being referred from a company that does not service the part of Buckeye that I live in. My prior pest control company was getting lazy and not knocking down spider webs (which was part of their service) even though I had confronted them about it in the past, so I decided to take my business elsewhere. Efrain was the technician who was sent to service my house. He took the time to explain to me how and where all their products are applied. I was most impressed when he knocked on my door and asked me to follow him to my back patio after he power sprayed. There were a half dozen or more dying black widow spiders that came out of hiding. I was very disappointed to realize I had been wasting my money on another company to treat my house and finding out not only were they not knocking down spider webs, they apparently had not been treating the area around them either. After Efrain completed the job, I went back out to my patio and as expected, all the dead spiders and webs were gone. I think I am going to like this company! read more

We live in Prescott and called Bulwark yesterday to set up a home visit. We were happy that we were able to get a tech here this morning. Mike Jones arrived on time, actually he was at our home a few minutes ahead of schedule. Mike asked what was going on. He checked all around our home and we discussed what the game plan was. Mike went over the products he would be using and explained Bulwark only uses top quality products that are safe around pets and children. This is good, as we have two 10 month old puppies who love to explore and we would not allow any hazardous chemicals in or around our home.
