Bulwark sprayed our garden with weed killer. Our new rows ready to plant were sprayed along with all of the edges surrounding our peppers and tomatoes. I'm devastated over all of the hard work and money we spent and their lack of regard for their customers. We had Tyson come out from Bulwark and take care of a little scorpion situation we had. I found one scorpion in 2 of my bathrooms about a week apart, and that had been the most scorpions I'd seen in over 3 years. We were using another service, but found out they were not treating for scorpions - and I wanted them gone. They also found a ton of black widows, eggs & webs ... truly makes my skin crawl. Tyson taught us a bunch about scorpion myths that a bunch of other businesses were trying to feed me. I don't want to get in to all them now, but let me just say, there is a lot. One of the main things that impressed me was seeing Tyson put on little booties when he came into the house ... I have had service for many years from other providers, and none ever put on booties to help keep my home clean. Some other things I have never seen, they treated and cleaned out webs in cracks high around the porch area of my back and all around places that normally are not hit. Also did a treatment in the outlets where bugs may be hiding out. It feels good to be attacking my problem before it becomes a real problem. Professional service, didn't try to up sell my anything and answered all my questions. Bottom line? I am just glad to be getting rid of the scorpions & black widows, especially with little kids running around my house. Speaking of that, the product they use is non toxic - won't hurt the kids or pets & I like that a lot. I did not have service with them. I told him I had some spiders and a small roach and he asked what did they look like and I described them to him. He automatically said they were German roaches and they multiply 5x more this time of year and the cost for dealing with them were quite expensive. He could have at least come out here to make sure that's what they were. I had another Northwest exterminating service come in and they were NOT GERMAN ROACHES. You lost my business. Service level is declining. The service technicians are rarely here more than 10 minutes (I know because I am home during the day). We still get scorpions and other bugs in the house. I had their termite treatment done, which was advertising as digging a trench around the base of the house to apply the chemicals. Instead, the technician merely raked back the decomposed granite ground cover, applied the chemicals and then raked back the rock cover. Certainly not what was advertised. Used to be a great service, but costs keep going up, there are regular billing errors, and the treatments seem less and less effective. Not recommended. read more

It is extremely hard to judge this company. The exterminators were amazing especially Bernard and Greg. I did have some other exterminators that were not so great. Why I will not use them again is the customer service number was awful. Sales department told me that the exterminators were doing there job wrong by doing the service weekly. It was extremely conflicting with the information I trusted from Greg and Bernard. The sales man who I spoke to 60 days after to try to sell me a plan didn't just confuse me with his information. He also told me I need to have less anxiety even though there is a possibility there crawling on me at night due to the weekly spraying. This was all information that really concerned me and made me question and have doubts on the company. After hanging up my fiancé said absolutely not going thru them again but with a little convincing. We decided to call again. Joined again and was told that I would not be charged until after the date of service. So guess what I got charged. I had called the day before and a few days in advance to ask a out a payements told them about my financial situation and how I cannot afford anything due to living literally on a few dollars. They said no problem you won't be charged next day which is today I'm -45 dollars from them taking every penny I had. I called talked to a manager told me there refunding. what happens now when I'm negative in money and have to wait 5-7 days for that money back to be able to feed my kids. I really wish this company had communication because any service they might have continued with me is gone. Not to mention they will NOT tell you if they rescheduled you or have a different person coming. my last day of service I was supposed to have Greg later at night because I was working. I was on the books and Bernard shows up at 11 no notice no warning. would have really really sucked if I didn't get service because I was unaware. Well today was my second treatment. Since the first visit, I did have to call them back for spiders and scorpions in the house. They came right back in a couple of days and retreated the inside of the house. I know the world is not perfect so I wasn't too upset about the pest that came back. But after coming back out I have not seen anymore pest. Today was the second scheduled treatment per my contact. Once again Jacob Whitfield was very professional and, since I had landscaping work done recently I noticed that he treated the area outside VERY professionally. My ring camera even showed how he went around the outside front door and all around the upper side of the outside wall. I think people do their best work when they are unaware that they are being watched and his work was excellent. I give Jacob Whitfield a 5 star waiting. read more

Ok, I used Bulwark for serval years. The service and tech were fine. However I had numerous issues with being double billed for bi monthly service. I had to provide canceled checks etc and the problem still persisted. Also was pestered via e mail, land line phone and text on scheduling service. I requested a hundred times~ morning service. They ALWAYS prescheduled me with afternoons...arrg So I quit them. The harassment at this point never stopped. I sent a letter to the owner explaining all of this and 9 months later, I am still receiving phone calls on Weekend evening begging me to come back I am going to register complaints w BBB and the ROC...this is a lousy place for customer service and fulfilling requests. read more

After being a 6 ? year customer, Bulwark-Austin sent out an exterminator who spent a total of 11 mins here (as proven by my security cameras). He did not spray the 10' barrier, and had no time to circle our 5000 sq ft house to spray a 10' barrier, do spider webs, check for ants, etc etc. Thankfully, I was here, walked out to check when he left and recognized that he had factually skipped the entire exterminating routine. I immediately called Bulwark, and they said they would redo it in two days. They did. I paid. Three days later, at 8:30pm on a Fri night, I receive a collection call effort from a supervisor Sandra ? with Bulwark. She was insistent that I pay right then. I looked, and they had received my money that day. No apologies about their employee defrauding me on the first "service"....just pay me now. She was hard, lacking in politeness and customer skills. I told her because of her actions, and because I could no longer trust their company to perform services if I'm not home, they were fired and to not call me back. (I think a real customer service company would have fallen all over themselves apologizing for the first employes's miscues, and comped the followup service to re-establish good will and customer appreciation. Not Sandra.) Additionally, I sent a very detailed email on 12/12/22 (the next day) to Adam Seever, who is shown on their Corporate records as the Bulwark PRESIDENT. He did not have the professional courtesy or customer concern to write or phone me back. That told me everything about where in the company their poor customer service culture comes from. Worse, he likely did not convey anything to his Austin operation,,,,,as 2 months later on 2/18/23, Scott with Bulwark showed up unannounced and serviced the outside of the house. I know because he was on our security cameras. (No preview text had been sent saying we'll be there tomorrow as is typical - had they so, I'da said no, you were fired two months ago). When Scott texted me to say he had done the spider webs, I told him he should not have come; the company was fired two months ago. He had no idea and was very apologetic. Now I start receiving texts and calls from their office wanting to be paid for the service !!!! How bad must a company be to show up after being fired, and expect to be paid for an unrequested/unwanted service ?????? Their local supervisor Sandra ? is awful and I'm sure she's behind this push for improper payment. I am contacting their Corp office (I'll try someone besides this Adam guy for obvious reasons). I'm filing a complaint with the BBB, I will seek out every possible customer review site and post this experience and I am NOT PAYING. If I have to get a lawyer, I will. This has become harassment. read more
