I looked at reviews for several exterminating companies, and called about a half dozen. Some of the review comments mentioned contracts and cancelation penalties, and I did find that some companies required contracts with penalties. And one company would only schedule an appointment for a tech to come to the house to assess our situation and create a customized treatment plan. They would not tell me anything about rates or treatment methods by phone. That did not appeal to us. I called Bulwark and talked to a rep that was able to discuss our areas of concerns, the methods of treatment they use, and was able to give me a discount rate for the first treatment. (and they did not have a binding contract) We were particularly impressed by his explanation of their approach to treatment. He described that they remove the faceplates from switches and plugs and put the treatment inside the walls, which is where the bugs are. It just made sense to us. In addition to treating the foundation of the house to create a barrier, they also treat the yard. And he addressed our concerns about having toxins in the house. This was much more appealing to use than the typical method of spraying chemicals along the baseboards.They were not the cheapest rates we found, but the overall attention to service, and approach to treatment was well worth it. Our service tech was Tim Edwards. He arrived during the scheduled timeframe. He was very friendly and listened to our concerns, and explained what he would be doing for the treatment, and addressed each of our concerns, assuring us that he would take care of all our issues. He performed the treatment quickly and professionally, and was eager to provide good customer service. I was particularly impressed that the application of the treatment was rather detailed in nature rather than just a general spraying along the walls. My wife found a few dead roaches the next day, and was pleased that they were dead, and have had no further issues since. So, the wife is happy, and that is what it was all about. I had a huge hornets nest attached to the second floor of my home and I was referred to bulwark by a neighbor on the next-door app. After speaking to the receptionist I was transferred to a specialist who told me they could handle it with no problem. They asked did I have any other needs without trying to upsell me or make me think that I had to have ongoing service. They also offered 60 day guarantee with my service. Upon getting quotes at other places they said they would not come out just to do a hornets nest that I had to sign up for ongoing services. When my technician Charles Tinsley came out he was very professional and very informative, it took him no time to resolve the problem as well as spray around the entire perimeter of my house for other types of bugs and insects .He let me know what he was doing every step of the way and after he was finish had me come outside to explain what he did. He was very nice and courteous and get the job done efficiently and effectively. He discarded the nest after taking it down and also made sure the debris was taken care of. He let me know what to look out for and to call back right away if I had any concerns or problems. If I have any other pest control needs I would definitely call Bulwark and if possible request my same technician Charles Tensley. Mark Newby was the technician that came out to our home on January 27, 2023. It was his second time ever coming out to service our home for us. I work with the elderly; therefore, I asked if he would wear a mask, he did so without hesitation. That is something that is very important to me and the safety of me and my elderly clients. I like that he is very knowledgeable, personable, was smiling and has a pleasant personality. He listened well to my concerns regarding the two mice we had seen in our home. He educated me on how the mice can find their way in and out homes. He put out multiple mouse traps to catch the mice and said he would come back in 2 weeks to check them. I insisted the traps were in areas we are able to get to them easily, we will check them and if we need him to come back out, we'll call Bulwark and request another visit. Mark likes cats, which is a plus for my home, since I have a cat that is afraid of people that come into our home. He did the usual spraying around the exterior of the home and put out granules in the yard. He sprayed some inside as well, when I asked him to. I will definitely be requesting Mark to come back out to service my home for future visits. We've been with Bulwark a little over 10 years and have always been quite happy with the service we received! David Keever has been our technician for a few years now and we couldn't be happier with him! A few months ago, we received a new technician and shortly after that started having issues with bugs coming into the home. That was VERY disappointing because while David has been our technician (both in our last home AND in our current home) we have never had a single issue!! I called Bulwark and had them send someone out to treat the home and the bug issue INCREASED instead of getting better! I contacted Bulwark this week to have them send someone else out again to fix the problem and just my luck, David Keever showed up today to fix it! I've never been so happy to see someone! Had a MASSIVE ant problem... ants everywhere (inside and outside). Hid all of our food away in the kitchen and they were still all over the counters. Not to mention ant nests all over our yard. (Felt like a scary movie! They kept coming out of nowhere.) We had Marcello as our tech, and he was very clear in explaining what the process was to exterminate on the inside and the outside of the house. We have two dogs who like to bark at strangers, and he was very understanding and sweet- let the dogs sniff him out and then they let him pet them. Fast forward two days after the treatment and we have not seen ONE ant in our house. It's a miracle! The morning before Marcello came I counted over 50 ants on the counter that I killed. It's been about 2 weeks since he came out, and still... no ants. Couldn't be happier. They recommend treatment follow ups every two months, and for the price, it is totally worth it to deal with those gross pests. I should also mention I called Orkin beforehand to get a quote on the ant problem, and never even got a call back! I really like that they are amenable to returning as often as is necessary between scheduled visits to meet customer satisfaction. They are pleasant and professional. We have been customers for more than a decade. Their portal is easy to use for messages and payments. They use text messaging for reminders and communication in upcoming services or you may always call. They give you options to be sure to cover everyone. Our oldest and excellent service technician is Marcello S. who always has a smile on his face and laughter in his heart and the solution to our critter problems. I have missed seeing his smile as COVID-19 has demanded safe protocols that the company is still following for everyone's health benefit. About a year ago when we bought our home, we gutted it to renovate and I had an encounter with a mouse. With me being extremely fearful of mice I immediately called Bulwark for help. Literally!! I refused to go back into my home because I was so afraid. They told me they could help and sent Ben (who has been servicing our home ever since) around 6pm that same day. Ben went into my home and thoroughly inspected my house and found the entry point was in a bed room where the baseboard hadn't been installed yet. He set up traps around our home and the mouse was caught within a day or two. Ben also set up extra traps around the exterior of the house and explained to me how the worked and taught me a little bit about the mice habits and that given that my home has a lot of trees around us, it would be more common to have an encounter. Bulwark employees are organized, courteous and professional in everything they do. Today Greg Slosek arrived at my door to perform routine bi-monthly maintenance. While I cannot say anything bad about previous service techs, I am compelled to say that this technician is the real deal. He was astute, conscientious and tenacious. He asked for my concerns and then he listened to what I had to say. He inspected the entire house perimeter until he located and dealt with a serious black ant issue. I am not reviewing the company as I'm still not all that happy with them but my technician Donny Moss probably saved them my monthly pay account. With all this rain, we had ants looking for higher ground and they found their way into our house. I called in and the company said that they could probably get me on the schedule 5 days later. Yes! 5 Days LATER! I advised that was unacceptable because I am a priority customer on a monthly payment plan and was told that someone would call if they could get to me sooner. The next day I happen to see Donny a couple doors down and asked him if he could assist me with my situation. He checked the computer and I wasn't scheduled but he said that he would call in and take care of my situation. So this review is for him and his ability maintain a good customer relationship regardless of the company's lack of customer service. Just had our initial service done & very pleased with the service. Technician by the name of Trevor was very thorough, and very polite. Explained all that he did, and was more than i thought we'd be getting. Trevor made it a point to not disturb or be too loud as we are both working from home, going out of his way to be unobtrustive. I could see through the windows what he did for the outside, and I saw everything he did on the inside. When done, he asked that I come outside in a very polite way, so as not to disturb my fiance, who was focused on work. Trevor then explained what he did in detail, and what would be done on the follow-up appt. If Trevor's professionalism is any indication of the company's overall service, I'm very confident that we made a good choice. Me and my wife just bought a new house so we order a professional exterminators service to be done, first the person over the phone who schedule my appointment was very professional and friendly, took his time to access my situation the best he can during the call and assured me I would be taken care of once they sent a exterminator out here. David W was our exterminator, he was professional, and friendly, he even used shoe covers before coming into my house which is well appreciated! once inside he helped me looked around the house for holes and cracks to try to pinpoint area of entries for the little bugs then he sprayed the areas to deter them from getting thru, after that he went outside and spray around the house and he also found a few ant mount in the back yard that he sprayed down as well while he was outside. over all the service was excellent! now we just have to wait and see if everything works! read more

Very happy with this company. So far we have had them for a year or more probably the only reason I can't remember is because I make a call and they take care of it. My to do list is done and they don't even care that I take all the credit :). Speaking of making a call to them. I absolutely love the people that take the calls. I feel a little guilty because I'm always trying to recruit them but kudos to them their managers, trainers and leadership because you have got to love your job to be that positive, engaged and personable on the phone. We started using Bulwark last spring when our previous exterminators would not come out to remove a hornets nest for a week, and they were going to charge us extra for this service. My daughter has anaphylactic reactions to stinging insects, so waiting a week was unacceptable. Based on a recommendation from a friend, I called Bulwark. They came out in less than 24 hours, on a Saturday morning! And they took care of the problem immediately. Since then, they have provided all of our insect and pest control and they have been fantastic. They always go above and beyond my expectations. Today, Bennie came out to treat the exterior. Somehow I missed that he was scheduled to come, but he texted me 1/2 hour before coming to let me know he was on his way, then he texted me telling me exactly what he had done. Technician LaVon Avery did the service at my home today. He called prior to visiting as requested. He noticed some mouse digging holes on the property and had me walk around the outside of the house with him to inspect for more. He used Delta powder in the crawlspace for some hornets I had complained about in a prior visit. He used granules and sprayed the exterior of my home. He also came inside when I told him I had seen a couple of water bugs. I appreciate that he had a conversation with me asking about family photos and where I was from. He was also thoughtful about my cats being scared or if he was spraying too much inside for them for my comfort. LaVon is fairly new to Bulwark, but that didn't keep him from doing the best job one can expect from a company. My 5 star review is absolutley NOT for the bulwark company its self.. I've had numerous issues with them and numerous technicians that did not meet my standards (simply doing the bare minimum and spraying to kill the bugs getting in the house but doing absolutely nothing to attack them at the source) my 5 star rating pretains superficially to technician Antoine. He is extremely professional, polite to me and my young children, and really hears my concerns. Not only is he treating the creepy crawlers that enter my home but he is also taking measures to attack them at the source making it less likely for the bugs to continue coming into my home. The first time he came here I saw drastic improvements for a good while. He was here again today and I am confident that the issue we have will not be a problem again for at least a good while. It was really nice meeting Dave A this morning. He sent me a text message that he is on his way. I started telling him about the trails of ants going under my house sidings and although the rain kinda slowed down the trails, he was able to confirm the trail. He decided to go with the solution that would kill the nest by having them take "the food" to their nest rather than just kill the ones we see: great. I also told him that other agents gave up on killing an ants nest i have at the base of one tree but he told me that's not going to fly with him: we'll see :)... lastly, i was impressed with his attention to details: he spent almost 30 minutes working around my house whereas most of the other agents were gone in 10 minutes.
