We were customers for a while. The mosquito treatment did not work, even though we paid a premium for the bucket and the spray, and tried both the green option and the regular option. We switched to spraying Wondercide ourselves and saw some serious results, so it is not truthful that the problem is just the season. The problem is the service. When we first switched to them, the indoor spray worked, but then I believe that the technicians got lazy because even though I was on maternity leave, I never saw them inside, and we started having pest problems. We called more than once about the issue inside and outside. and were told that we could pay for them to come back. Multiple times we expressed our frustration, but were never escalated to someone to help until we cancelled. We were supposed to hear back from the manager after we canceled future service about having them come back to our house to do a call back since we were still under the supposed three month warranty, and had just paid $200 for absolutely no results, and they never called back. I only had a 30 day warranty for bats. When the service was finished in October, I didn't know that bats were still in my chimney because they hibernate from October to March. The warranty needs to cover the time of hibernation. read more

Do not recommend unless you want to waste $150 for a service that does not work. Had them come out twice and both services did not decrease any of the pest issues within the home. We are left still killing spiders everyday. Office admin, Tammy, was not helpful in addressing our concerns and refused to provide any contact information for someone in management, was extremely rude whilst doing so. On a positive note, our technician, Mike, was fantastic and super kind. Hate that their administrative/management procedures are unprofessional along with treatments that are ineffective. read more

Very unprofessional company. First tech seem polite however the other 2 techs and office staff are horrible. Purchased a home 1 year ago. Carolina Pest Control is the company the builder selected to do business with. Upon renewal time received numerous calls and letters to renew however never set up an appointment to renew with company. One day while WFH looked out my window due to dogs barking a Carolina Pest Control tech was on the property. Asked why the tech was here? I never set up or confirmed an appointment. He stated told to come by management. I called asked office rep on the phone how Carolina Pest Control came to the decision to just send techs out to do work without confirming with the owner. Justification given by Tammy office rep manager had called trying to ask about renewing and I said to rep so because I didn't response to your numerous notices or calls. being the owner I'm fully aware the contract up and Carolina Pest Control felt it only right to come do the job at my home anyway without consent? Seem Carolina Pest Control takes measures in the hand by forceful business tactics. At this point, I'm sure Carolina Pest control is aware of numerous other providers visiting the neighborhood. My question to office rep how is a company putting renting equipment on purchased home? Response given this is the contract your builder Smith Douglas agreed to. The pumps being put on homes are rentals and if payment missed Carolina Pest pick up. 10/03/2024 -Carolina Pest Control sends 2 techs to your home unannounced and uninvited demanding payment. This actually happen while WFH in the middle of a meeting. This is second visit from Carolina Pest Control unannounced once for treatment and threaten tactics for pump. Due to situation of WFH in the middle of a Zoom meeting. Had no choice but to address the matter after the meeting. Called Carolina Pest Control office livid and expressed my strong concern of Carolina Pest Control continuously just showing up at my home. Called to make payment to be clear of charges in 2 increments Janice request one payment. Told Janice in office rep to never do it again and come pick up the pumps. Scare tactics don't work on everyone. Whatever was sprayed did not and has not done the job. Heck thought Carolina Pest Control paying the bill since Company feels it's only right to come to homeowner's home without confirming first. read more

I am SO impressed with this company and it's refreshing to give my business to a company that is honest, responsive, professional and solution oriented. I had the scary luck to encounter a big copperhead snake. Carolina Pest responded to my late night email in the most thoughtful and thorough manner. The next morning, the gentleman on the phone was so nice, reassuring (I was scared) and helped to calm my nerves. I am sure this vendor is competent. What was unfortunate is they would not come out to inspect my new home to give me a quote for ongoing services without charging me. As such they gave up potential long term work order. How do I know what all I need not being a bug/pest expert myself in order to maintain my home and grounds? A phone quote going off what I think I need isn't effective. I will look into other vendors who want to build the relationship to obtain the work. read more

We have been customers with Carolina Pest Management for years, and we always pay for our quarterly visits a year in advance. In addition to our quarterly visits, the technician and company have always stated that if we ever needed additional visits to deal with an issue to just call and they would come out at no additional charge. We recently called the company because we were seeing swarms of bees in our backyard. The technician showed up and looked at the insects and stated he did not know what they were. He sent a picture to someone at the office who told him they were solitary ground bees and then advised us not to treat them. The whole process took about 5 minutes. Then to our surprise, we received a bill for $85. When I called to question the bill, I was told that bees are not covered in our service plan. When I asked why we weren't told there would be an additional charge for the visit before he came out, he didn't really have an answer. When I questioned the $85 charge I was told they needed to pay for gas and additional expenses. I really don't appreciate getting a surprise additional charge after paying for this service in advance. This company obviously doesn't value repeat customers or loyalty. The guy I was speaking to could care less that I was upset and said I would not be renewing my service. Very disappointing. read more

I have been very impressed by the customer service offered by Carolina Pest. After entering my information on their website, I was promptly contacted and given detailed information on their services and prices. My service technician, Jeff, called to schedule the appointment. He arrived exactly on time and was friendly. He completed the job in less than an hour. Then, 2 weeks later I started seeing spiders again. Ironically, at that same time, Carolina Pest called me to check on the service. Impressive! I told them the problem and they immediately scheduled me for another (free) treatment. Pleasant, no-pressure, thorough inspector checked out my home for free and offered an estimate for various types of preventative services. If I don't want an annual package, I can pay for an inspection in upcoming years if desired. While I haven't decided what to do for next year, this company seems reputable to me. read more

Called them on a Thursday after hours, left a voice-mail, they called me back first thing Friday morning. I knew it was going to be a stretch, but I asked if there was any way they could come out that day as I was working from home. 10 mins later the guy was there and 1 hour later my house was sprayed for bugs and he was heading out. Can you imagine being in the "bug business"?! Dealing with nasty little critters?!? I can't imagine a more off-putting profession, where you have to crawl into nasty spaces and deal with some of the lowliest vermin on the planet... But any time I've had a technician out from Carolina Pest, they have been unfailingly professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. They act like they really love their job!! I have used Carolina Pest the last several years to control roaches, mosquitoes, and rodents. And the result always lasts for months. They will come back and do a "re-service" if the first treatment didn't take care of the problem, but I've never had to take them up on the offer. I am certain if I used them on a regular basis--monthly or quarterly--I would never see another cockroach or mouse dropping. But I feel better with not over-doing my property with chemicals (BTW, you would never know they were there from smell--their chemicals have no scent!). I just prefer to wait until I see evidence of any vermin, and then I call them. Carolina Pest is out within a day of my request and they take care of it! And it will be months before I see any need for their services again. I love hiring a small, family-run business (fourth generation owners!)--they are just more personal to deal with. read more
