In which case I had a few rats, that unknown to me, burrowed their way under my foundation and into the crawl space. Learn something new every day. So I call Charlotte Wildlife Removal and learn that rats can actually dig tunnels. And from earlier battles to remove them over the years; found that there were a few holdouts left. CWR laid out large box traps along the entrance to the hole and other areas as well as in the crawl space. Being sure not to lay poison yet so that they wouldn't die and then I would have the smell in the house. Side note; contrary to popular belief, the poison doesn't drive them out to get water, they'll just stay and die. CWR came by every other day for 2 weeks to check the traps. All of the rats we caught happened in the first few days but did it for 2 weeks to be certain. Then the poisonous was laid in the attic, and crawl space. The best part though is that CWR dug down where the tunnels were filled it all back with concrete and covered with dirt. Overkill, possibly. Serious follow through, ohhh you bet! I have a near full basement and these tunnels contributed to leaks into the basement on days of heavy rain. So I'm very thankful for this dual repair. They will be back to do other preventative work for the crawl space. For now it's back to just being my home. Pleasant to work with, diligent and priced fairly. Highly recommend them.

We have had a very unfortunate experience with this company and warn all to stay away! This is a…read morelong review - if you don't want to read it all, the summary is: DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. We heard what we thought were birds in our attic, so when we called them for assistance, that's what we reported. We are not wildlife experts, but they purport to be, so we expected them to not only identify the animals we were hearing, but also eradicate them and prevent further intrusion in our home. They came out, never mentioned the possibility that the animals we were hearing were not birds, and quoted us $3400 to close up all "construction gaps" between our roof and fascia and remove bird nests from the attic. They came out for the first time to do the work we paid them for, or so we thought. Two weeks later, we still heard the bird-like sounds in ceiling. We called them back, and they quoted us a second round of work. The second quote mimicked the first quote, making it clear that they didn't do everything we paid them for the first time around. We had to get the owner of the company involved to force them to come back and complete the work they initially quoted us. Fast forward 3 weeks or so later - we're still hearing "bird" sounds. We called another company to come out, and low and behold - it's MICE! At no point did Catawba ever mention seeing signs of mice or the possibility of it being mice. They simply heard me say "it's a bird" and went with that without any further inspection or thought. Additionally, the other company took pictures showing where the construction gaps are still very much open despite us paying Catawba to close all of them. In short, Catawba didn't do anything to accurately identify the wildlife issue we had, and didn't complete the work we paid them for. We're now having to pay someone else to do what they were contracted to do. We've contacted Catawba to detail all of this and ask for our money back. They have refused and even lied in their responsive email in an attempt to cover their tracks. My husband and I are both lawyers and will now have to take them to small claims court to get our money back. I've never been so disappointed by a company. Again - DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE.

I had seen them and actually caught several so I knew what I was dealing with. 2 men came out and looked around, "confirmed" that it was flying squirrels, and said they needed to formulate a plan for eradicating them. And now they have the nerve to send me emails asking me to refer a friend! NOT A CHANCE! I would not consider hiring this firm, and if you do, demand services BEFORE payment or you won't get what you paid for!

I was told if I had a problem, to just call and they would send someone out. I called the company and asked if they could send someone out, as I had a problem in my yard. (Action is 2.6 miles from my home) She asked me to send her pictures. I emailed her pictures. Her response was it was a lawn problem and I needed to contact a yard maintenance company. Well I found out it was grub worms. Action is supposed to take care of 20 feet from the house. Grub worms are scarab beetle larvae. To my knowledge beetles are bugs. The infestation is right outside both my front and back doors. I returned a email to her asking if they had anything to handle grub worms. I got no response. I don't know exactly how much contract is left with this company but they can have it!

We felt like idiots but can highly recommend the responses from 2 companies who both helped us ID the issue on-site. Communication and followup with the office and scheduler was excellent and they had availability next day to come inspect, unlike 2 others we called. The inspector arrived when expected (texting to keep us updated on arrival time) and was professional, well-informed, and thorough. Even came with shoe protectors to keep floors clean after poking around. He somehow managed to keep a straight face and remain cheerful and compassionate when it turned out to be a false alarm. Pointed out some roof / attic repairs that may be needed, unrelated to wildlife. We learned about PCA through Reddit, from others who actually had wildlife and gave them high marks for removal. We switched to spraying Wondercide ourselves and saw some serious results, so it is not truthful that the problem is just the season. The problem is the service. When we first switched to them, the indoor spray worked, but then I believe that the technicians got lazy because even though I was on maternity leave, I never saw them inside, and we started having pest problems. We called more than once about the issue inside and outside. and were told that we could pay for them to come back. Multiple times we expressed our frustration, but were never escalated to someone to help until we cancelled. We were supposed to hear back from the manager after we canceled future service about having them come back to our house to do a call back since we were still under the supposed three month warranty, and had just paid $200 for absolutely no results, and they never called back. I did follow up more than once and never heard back. Looking at reviews, that seems to be the norm. Customer service: 0/10 Efficacy: 0/10
