I had squirrels tear their way into my attic a few months back, and I thought the problem had been taken care of with another company, but the squirrels recently came back (causing more damage, and re-opening holes that were previously fixed).
I contacted a few wildlife removal services again, but I wanted to make sure I wouldn't have this problem again. Catawba Wildlife provides removal services, but they also go the extra mile to offer full repair and prevention, which is what I was looking for. Robbie at CW came out the day I after I called, set up traps and responded the same day whenever a squirrel was caught over the next few days. He explained everything they could to ensure that the squirrels did not return, at a price which was very reasonable (inclusive of a 5-year warranty that the squirrels would not find their way back in, which was much more inclusive than other providers from whom I received quotes when repairing the damage the first time). At a high level, they sealed up areas around the roof where squirrels usually (and did this time) find their way in, coated vents with steel mesh, etc. All of this created a reinforced barrier so squirrels (or other wildlife) cannot chew, scrape, gnaw or otherwise intrude. His crew finished the repairs within a few days after squirrels were removed, and always called ahead, then basically provided a contactless service. They cleaned up very well, replaced insulation, even repaired wires that were chewed down to copper (where others had simply referred me to an electrician). Robbie always kept me directly updated on the progress and his crew seemed very knowledgeable about the work. They explained everything. The repairs appear a great deal more reliable and sturdy, and I expect they will keep the squirrels out for years to come. I'm glad I paid a bit extra to have everything sealed up after seeing the amount of damage that squirrels can do, and will continue to do after removed, in such a small amount of time. read more
