I met with him when he arrived (on time I might add) and explained my pest concerns. He cleaned around the eaves and windows of my home and sprayed, going heavy in the areas that I specified. I have them for 15 or so years, but there has been a marked decrease in service in the last two or three years. I don't know if they were bought out and that's what changed? I would recommend that you make sure you schedule them for when YOU ARE HOME. There is no evidence that they have come other than a bill in your email the following day. They used to leave some sort of ticket or receipt and there was a mild tell-tale odor to indicate that someone been on the property. And last year when I actually was home and waiting, no one came. When I complained, there was never an admission of not having come, they just said they would schedule a "revisit". Now I just need to determine whether it's a bigger hassle to make a change or to make sure that I schedule my time to make sure I am here. As far as I can tell, the product that they use is as effective as any other company's so that is not an issue. read more

I was really optimistic after my initial consult . But after reviewing my ring camera and witnessed the service tech spend 1 minute and 3 seconds treating my home while simply looking into one of the bedrooms I was unimpressed. So of course I called and they sent another tech out who appeared to do a more thorough job. But this was just the beginning of my issues with this company. They sent texts saying they were coming back for scheduled maintenance which I declined. They sent someone anyways and I sent her away . They continued to send messages and then even tried to bill me for service i didn't request or receive. Then the real slap in the face . They sent my bill to a creditor which messed up my credit big time . I sent countless emails, texts, and calls to resolve the issue but the credit score still suffers. And here we go over a year later they just sent me another bill ! Please proceed with caution and make sure they aren't reeling you into a trap. read more

We used Bulwark when we lived in Gilbert, and they were fantastic--always on time, communicative, and reliable. After moving to the Prescott area, though, we've had constant problems trying to get them to handle our weeds. They canceled on us four times. One of those cancellations was due to high winds, which we completely understood. However, the most recent cancellation was last Saturday. I got a voicemail saying they'd come between 3-6 PM that day. Saturday morning, we saw someone from Bulwark drive past, but that was it. They didn't call to let us know they weren't coming or to reschedule. Then on Monday, they called and said they'd be coming on April 8th. At this point, I have no idea what's going on with their service, so I finally canceled. When I called to cancel, the person I spoke with didn't seem to care at all. Dear Bulwark, Yesterday the phone representative Karen, called to remind me of an appointment today. She was very friendly and helpful. Karen looked up some of my account information for me and answered an additional question I also had. I appreciate her taking the time to assist me with my questions. Thanks, Karen, for your assistance yesterday. Technician Mark Newby came today. As usual, Mark was very friendly and wore his mask inside and outside. I don't request him to wear it outside of my home, but he just shows up now, with his mask. That's very thoughtful of him. We have had issues with mice, spiders and large red ants. He sprayed and put out granules in the yard and around foundation of the home. He told me the mice bait station was totally empty since last visit, that meant we had a lot of activity from mice. We didn't know we had so many mice on our property. We have had no sign of mice in our home, since last visit and that's great to know. Mark refilled the mice bait station and text me that he had filled them with photos of them. He is very thorough when is treating our home and property. He always asks what pests I have seen since last visit and explains to me where they come from/live and how he will treat for them. I never leave reviews and it takes me a lot to get upset. I have never been so unsatisfied with a service provider before. After we were talked into changing providers, Hawx did not come within the 3 months that we were charged and guaranteed service for. It is now 4 days before our next billing cycle and they still haven't even come out and can not come out for 10 more days. We tried to cancel weeks ago. Called back today and we were told the reason it was never cancelled is because we spoke with a new service member and the request was never sent over. We were informed today that we are going to be charged $200 to cancel our services. It is absolutely ridiculous. Also, good luck getting ahold of anyone and not being on hold for an hour. read more

So far, I have only had my initial visit with Bulwark, and I appreciated that the exterminator professional, Mike Yunker texted me ahead of time that he would be arriving soon with a trainee. Knowing why an extra person is wandering around one's yard avoids surprises. I have asked Mike that going forward, once he arrives to please check in with whomever is home, even if it's just a quick chat through the Ring doorbell or chatting between the security cameras throughout the yards. Our area is very "woodsy" and can change over night or within hours; an anthill will suddenly seem taller and more active, or as in the case of the first visit, I stepped outside to warn Mike Yunker that the trainee was about to walk into a hive of ground hornets. I was also able to point out high on the roof where wasps had built a new hive under the roof. All of that information would have been too much for a text message (especially for an exterminator without a trainee able to do the texting & reading while driving). True to Bulwark's guarantee, Mike is heading back today, because the wasps that weren't in the hive when he sprayed last week have started rebuilding on the other side of the house! They're hard to see, but they're up there. (I only gave four stars because it's a new business relationship, I can't honestly say that Bulwark has made us five-stars worth of impressed yet. After they've been working on our pest control a little longer, I hope we will be happy enough to bump it to five. Bulwork came through the neighborhood about a year ago going from door to door with a comprehensive and high pressure sales pitch, so I decided to give them a try. I had been using a local company, that I would could call when needed to thin out the spiders. However the sales pitch from Bulwork made it sound like they took preventative measures that would slow the spiders and other pests at the property line so they wouldn't be such a problem around the windows and outside walls of the house. Bulwork wanted to be paid quarterly to do their comprehensive pest control. Well, the spiders have been much worse than usual and the reps who did the treatment didn't remove the spider webs from the windows as promised. They were polite but didn't do nearly as good a job as our previous company (Kenny from Bug Busters). Long story short, we cancelled our Bulwork agreement and switched back. read more

I am a new homeowner and was going through all the mandatory things to be done. Pest control is also one of them. Having the garden destroyed by the caterpillars and some ants problem in the backyard, i thought i would give that a go. The initial fee is 150$ and then there is 89$ every 2 months and also unlimited visits if the issue exists. I was impressed with the talk and the promises about setting boundaries for trees, pests, setting up traps for rodents in the crawl space, and taking care of the business. The guy shows up says the same stuff and then the payment was already set up when i had the reservation. They spray some inside the house on the edges and then there is a smoke things blower outside the house and then he just left. I mean no bye bye or details on what has been done or the next steps. After a week, the caterpillar are still enjoying my veggies, the ants are still building their forts in my backyard. My wife still laughing at me for my pest control solution. So I had to go to my Plan B, Home Depo got some ant killing white powder some sprays for veggies, some bug killer, etc and now it looks much better and I know what's been done and what still has to be taken care of. If you have some serious thing going on with pests or you own a business and want someone to take care then look for pest control services or else i felt it was a waste or dollars and for single family home owners it best to identify what needs to be taken care and rush to Lowe or Home Depo. read more

The tech said that I had to give him a 3 hour window - not to listen to the office. I made a 2nd appointment for a 3 hour window. I was told that the tech would call 30 minutes before arrival. after waiting over 2 1/2 hours, I got an e-mail that I was not at home and I needed to reschedule. I called the office within 10 minutes and was told that the tech would call me - an hour later and I have not received a call from him.
