I was seriously overcharged over $900 over a period of several months, unknowingly- the payments for this company were misrepresented on my bank statements- they were not listed as "Orkin". Undisclosed extra fees... The company refuses to refund the payments. I cancelled my service, but am still receiving bills. Services were few, and very irregular. Will never use again. Strongly recommend against using this company. Complete rip-off. read more

We had scheduled our first inspection/ spray for today. Originally, we were told it would "probably"be 4:30. By 5:30, there had been no communication by Orkin, so my husband called their office that services Matthews, NC. We were then told that it was actually a window of 4-6pm that they would arrive and that we would receive a call when the service man was on the way. We were also told to call back after six if we still hadn't heard anything. We called at 6:15. No one in the local office answered so the call center picked up and couldn't offer an explanation or time for tomorrow that the service person would come. We had to cancel our evening plans and I am beyond annoyed. They have proven to be unreliable and we will NEVER use them for anything. read more

The service is so bad it almost doesn't seem believable. We tried for 2 years of being patient and trying to let this Orkin Charlotte branch redeem themselves. But they did the exact opposite of redemption. Things started out terrible with ORKIN from the start. Our 1st service with them was almost deadly to my 4 dogs. The "awesome" service tech they sent was either painfully lazy or not trained properly cause he used the incorrect sprayer inside my house which left standing puddles of insecticide through my house soaking the carpets and the puddles had to be soaked up with several rolls of paper towels. Orkin did not care and still attempted to send Rodney to my house at least 4 more times after I explicitly told them not to. We had to go as far as informing them that Rodney will be arrested for trespassing and the company truck impounded if they sent him again. And since then it's been issue after issue. Missed appointments, not showing up at all, lying about showing up. And today 6/9/22 was the final straw. They were fired today officially. We were supposed to have service on 6/7/22 between 10-12. No one showed up ans no one called. So we called and the oblivious person who answered said o well the service tech called out sick and we rescheduled all the appointments from today and called everyone. They didn't call us. And they admitted they didn't. They also didn't reschedule our appointment we had to tell them to schedule it for 6/9/22. Well today 6/9/22 2-4pm. Guess what Orkin didn't show! Once again the service tech went home early. The person who answers phones at the office claims they didn't know the service tech went home early without finishing all his appointments. They then tried to say to bad so sad you have to wait till next week. Obviously that wasn't acceptable. So they sent the service manager and some day 1 dork to try and "salvage" the situation. Well to bad so sad for Orkin cause there is no salvaging this crap show. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I would not recommend this exterminating company to anyone. The representative, Chris has zero customer service an awful "bed side manner" for a lack of better terms. He was friendly enough before we paid the contracted we owed for mice extermination and clean up. Jim Montgomery, branch manager when informed of dissatisfaction made excuses for Chris and nothing was done. The ceiling in the home was cracked in two places due to the insulation replacement installers stepping in the ceiling. It has been two weeks and no one has gone to review it and fix it. I called Orkin today and spoke to Joy who informed me Montogomery was sick with the flu (I can sympathize) but what happened last week when he was suppose to come by. There is a sense of I don't care with this company and they take their time when they need to do work or fix it. Use this company at your own risk read more

So first off the guy comes out smelling like a brewery to my house. He talks and talks nonstop which would be fine if he was doing the job he was paid to do. My house literally got sprayed the first time he came out every time since then he hasn't sprayed anything. He barely switches the bug traps. If I could leave 0 stars I would, I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. Waste of time and money. Oh and let's add nothing has changed since January when I first hired them to come out. One of the worst led companies that I have ever worked with. First off, I had a dehumidifier installed by them that they put in the wrong place so it wasn't even dehumidifying my entire house. The amount of times I tried to get them to come back to my house to move it took forever and I kept dealing with the same bug issues for months when they told me this expensive fix would work. secondly. The customer service and office is horrible. I couldn't get someone to come out and there is no one to ever answer the phone/ no communication with anyone about anything. Does anyone actually work in the office? Why is there no office manager or someone who answers phones. Lastly, I was lied to on multiple occasions and there was only one person who actually cared enough to help. This company doesn't care about customer issues and it's sad that there are some decent people working there. don't waste your money here. read more
