Loved the vibes in here. Was staying nearby for a conference and just wanted a beer in a less fancy environment. Was so pleased this spot serves only beer and wine. No frills (unless you want some bar food). We had already eaten so beers it was. The bartender was friendly and helped my friend pick out some sours. I stick with the Hazy and wasn't disappointed. This just be a lore local spot later on in the evening because less than 20 min after we arrived the place was packed. Some good tunes on the speaker and an overall good time.

My favorite bar in Boston. The staff are all amazing, and the vibes are unmatched. They only play records, and there's always some classic movies on the tvs. Food is great and the beer is cold! My only gripe is that it is definitely on the more pricey side.

Gotta make a stop @ the Bukowski Tavern! Crazy local haunt that is unassuming, humble and just a good place to grab a beer with friends! They do serve food but we had already had apps at our last stop.

I love this place! The fact that it's named after the great writer brought me in, but the friendly staff, chill vibe, awesome decor and excellent food are what keep me going back (though I do miss the vegetarian meatball sub!) Bonus, occasionally they'll have a vintage pop up and I got some sweet shirts! Bukowski forever! To All My Friends...

This place is definitely a dive beer bar. There are no other liquors, including wine, but they will carry cider or selzers. They play early 1970's by spinning the vinyl on the record player and changing the album constantly throughout the evening. I had the bacon burger because it was the safe choice, plus the bartender suggested that was the best pick of the menu items. The fries were very fresh, but they are strict on the ketchup they provide in a small paper cup, more like a thimble. Serving was okay. They don't check up on you, and the place fills up fast with toursits looking for a cold brew. No complaints on the burger or fries. It's loud not because of the music but also due to lots of people socializing. I probably would pick another place to hang out in Boston next time.

I came in here with a few friends on a whim! We were looking for a place to get drinks but didn't want to go somewhere too fancy in the area. Thankfully, this place fit the bill! It's a beer and cider-only joint, and they definitely have something for everyone here. The beer list is rad with tons of super cool and unique ciders and sours. There's of course your classic Guinness on the menu, too. I really enjoyed the vibe of this place, especially. It's quite small and packed with tons of character. There's stuff all over the walls, and hilarious chalkboard writing. The bathroom is decked out in tons of stickers. It's just a really fun bar with a divey vibe and great drinks. As I was sitting with my friends, I noticed they were playing a lot of Sufjan Stevens. I turned around and noticed they had a fully-functional vinyl record player behind the bar. So cool! Definitely, something I'm not used to seeing. All in all, this is a great spot to check out if you're a fan of beer and cider and are looking for something more low-key.

We are big fans of Charles so of course we had to stop into this dive bar. Cash is preferred and they have a great selection of beers. The food looked great but we didn't order any bc we had just eaten. We love a hole in the wall. The bartenders were nice and the music was good.

Beer was good although selection wasn't great. Tater tots and mayo gave me food poisoning.

During a recent trip to Beantown, a coworker took me here for an evening out on the town. Slade's was very chill and you could tell was full of usuals who frequent the spot. The menu has plenty of options, service was great especially being a first timer I didn't feel out of place. Known for their chicken wings and other items, the menu has variety and almost feels more soul foodish. Music wise, the jazz band who played that night kept the spot going. Also offering impromptu musicians to join. A great night out in Boston, Slade's is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I understood that delivery food may need reheating and was fully prepared to air fry the wings and fries. That was not the issue. The problem was the quality and accuracy of the sides and entrées. The collard greens were so salty they were inedible and honestly concerning from a health standpoint. One plate that was supposed to include chicken, mac and cheese, and yams arrived with double yams and no mac and cheese at all. The other plate with catfish, potato salad, and collards was also disappointing. The catfish was overcooked, the potato salad was watery, and again, the collards could not be eaten. Additionally, the yams were gummy and seemed undercooked, as if they needed more time in the oven. Aside from the wings and fries, the rest of the order was a complete letdown. I have no issue paying for food I enjoy and love, but unfortunately this order was neither enjoyable nor acceptable based on the quality I usually expect from Slade's.

It was a bit of a bummer that they couldn't leave even one tv on the basketball game. We still had fun, you could really feel the energy from the fans during the game. The drinks were fine, I got the espresso martini and then the jingle bell. They aren't anything to write home about, not something I'd go out of my way for. My only complaint was the initial service. When I first got to the bar it was pretty empty and I sat at the bar with my friends. Even then it took a good 15 minutes to get one of the bartenders attention to get a drink. This was frustrating, especially since it wasn't busy. Overall it's a good sports bar, it's fun to check out but it's not something to go out of your way for.

A warm sunny day combined with everyone in town for the regatta meant the city was packed! We passed by as a huge group of soccer fans were coming out - their match had just ended - so we thought it was the perfect time to go in and snag their seats. Got 3 seats at the bar, the bartender (short dark hair and facial hair) greeted us right away with menus and was quick with the drinks. We quickly ate our order of fries and then ordered the Chicken Parm Pop Tarts, they were excellent. I feel badly for the others who didn't have a great experience, but we definitely did!
