I have been to Two Saints a quite few times now. I really enjoy the place. On a typical evening it is is a low-key spot where you can grab a few (inexpensive) beers, order bar bites and watch the game. It has a dive bar meets beer hall vibe where is comfortable to just hang out. They also have a variety of local beers on tap for you to choose from and the staff is friendly and genuine. This is a big space. One of the rooms has large long bar area if you want to hang out with a few people, but there is also another room that has beer hall style tables which can easily fit a large group of people. This is nice because sometimes a group of 3 turns into a group of 10 who maybe want to play darts. A lot of places in the area can't accommodate a large group on the fly. Finally, if you have a chance, it is REALLY fun to see some live music in this spot. I have seen one show here and it was a blast, lots of dancing and good feels. I am pretty sure they have a DJ on the weekend and will be coming back for that. Also, if the bar gets busy or you want a different cocktail menu, they are connected to their sister bar Dos Diablos, so there are a few bar options you can go to for drinks. read more

Down near Symphony Hall, we noticed Two Saints Tavern was empty and decided to come in for a few drinks since all the surrounding spots were jammed packed. Now only having been to this bar once, I can see why there wasn't an appeal here. The bartender was barely at the bar, their drink and food lists were stale, and the vibe, I think they are trying to cater to the younger college crowds with their colorful graffiti art mural, I guess. White Sangria- Very watered down. I'm sure it was a little bit of brandy, peach schnapps, white wine, topped with fountain soda. Manhattan- My friend said it was passable. Overall Service: We saw the bartender once and that's about it. No one really tended to us nor did they asked if we wanted anything else which didn't matter anyway because we're all set. read more

The Two Saints Tavern really impressed me a lot!! It's the quintessential college/Northeastern University bar (but it's also more than just a college bar). Forget the Cadillac burger at Manhattan's P.J. Clarke's! (I live in Manhattan). I think the Two Saints steak burger in Boston is better and it's a real steal at only $10. Also, Robby, the bar manager, and Chuck the general manager, aim to please their patrons. From the attentive and cordial way me and my pals were treated, I'd say Customer Service is #1 on their list. Honestly had a great time here and would've loved to leave a 5 star review. However, a bad customer service experience has me regretfully posted a sour review as a result. I'll start off with the good stuff. Vibrant DJs and a really fun atmosphere with cheap drinks and only good vibes gave me a wonderful first impression and led me to believe I was in store for the night of my life. And then I met bartender "Brit". She sprayed me with the water dispenser after I mistakenly pronounced her name incorrectly. I apologized in hopes to make amends, but instead she responded with several expletives and derogatory insults. She then refused to serve me and I left in a bad mood. I don't think she reflects this place as a whole and I would've given a 5 star if she had been nicer! read more

Came here a few months ago and had a great time over drinks. Returned this week with a friend and I couldn't believe it was the same place. There were about 5 other people in the entire place when we were there and the bartender was manning all the tables. The Drinks: He charged us for a drink he told us was a sample (understandable miscommunication I guess?). I ordered the key lime pie martini which was great last time. He tells me he's missing the froth part but can still make it. I tell him ok, since I figured this wouldn't drastically change the flavor of the drink - wrong. It was room temperature and the kind of drink you wondered if it had any alcohol. The Next Drink: Friend got a blue moon draft. The glass was disgusting. It actually had lipstick on it and sticky residue. And stuff floating in the actual beer. Friend gulped down half of the drink but was too grossed out to finish it. The Food: Ordered nachos. They took 20 min (only 5 ppl in the place) after he mistakenly brought us two burgers (theres hardly anyone here, and he had taken our order five min before and he's the only server..) But ok, "just checking." We were there to hang out and catch up, so it wasn't a big deal to wait so long but seems strange. Nachos were meh more like salsa dumped on chips without any cheese to hold together. Of which he brought gross dirty side dishes (one had dried crusty food on it, the other looked wiped at best.) So, all in all I don't know what happened. It's one thing to have a weird drink but to have glassware and plates with food crusts and lipstick is pretty bad...very obvious to see if he had just taken a quick look. I have no clue how they run their business, but every time I've tried to go I've had the WORST experiences. The line is long and they don't let anyone in until after they've waited 2 hours outside the venue. I would never recommend this place. They're rude, unreasonable, and you end up waiting for a disappointing atmosphere. If you co wider this pace to go I'd recommend literally any other place because this venue sucks. read more

Could be a nice little place. Atmosphere was nice and clean. I came in and ordered a draft beer. I was the only one sitting at the bar. The bartender served my beer and never said hi or anything else to me while I was there. She was too busy looking at her phone eating her lunch and wrapping silverware. I can see why there wasn't anyone at the bar. What ever happened to customer service? A smile and some small talk goes a long way to getting a great tip and repeat business. My friends and I were looking for Boston's hottest new bar and found ourselves ending up at Two Saints Tavern. After waiting in a long line we were greeted by a man resembling Mr. Tumnus from Narnia. Easy to say he was not as welcoming as his fairytale fun-loving doppleganger. Despite my friends and I all being of age, only half of us got in because this bouncer asked each of us our zodiac sign. Personally, if I was a bar owner and asked a guy that who answered "aquarius!" enthusiastically, I wouldn't let that shell of a man in my bar. I ended up calling the cops to get my ID back and the bouncer smiled as I was leaving. This is a sad man who has no place in a position of power. read more

Came here for game 5 of the World Series and thought it would be a mad house. I was cheerfully greeted by the door staff and then received the most attentive service I've ever received during a major sporting event. I never had to wait as the bartender always asked if I would like another when he saw my drink getting low. Pulled pork sandwich was awesome, great bbq sauce to go with the pork, also adding onion rings to it was exceptional. For a college bar they do things right.... very surprised by the quality of service, food and just overall atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back here in the future. It felt great when the manager stopped by to check on me and my party to make sure everything was going alright. read more

Went here for the first time since they opened. My friend wanted to watch a particular person that was playing there for the night. The moment we entered the bar it was extremely humid and hot but I understand that with that many people packed into a room on a hot night, it's hard to air out the place. The reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because I was charged $17 for a beer. I signed a receipt for about $7 and when I checked my account a week later to do some budgeting, I saw $17. I'm guessing they put an extra 10 on the tip. At this point I had thrown out the receipt but I decided to go there to see what I could do. It was only 10 extra dollars but if I knew I would've at least had another drink. I went there and the manager took down my information to see if he could find anything and said he'd call but I never got one. I'm not really sure if he just forgot or didn't bother to check. I probably should have checked my account earlier but at the same time, I don't expect for my tip to be incorrectly entered. Don't get me wrong, I've definitely been mischarged, but usually on the actual bill which is why I always look at what I'm signing for. Unfortunately, the tip isn't really something I can watch them enter.
