Due to an extremely long wait at the hotel's restaurant, I thought I'd venture out to a nearby breakfast place. The restaurant is near many hotels and the convention center. Even though there was a convention in the city, I was able to be seated right away. Santalina, server, had greeted me shortly and then was able to take my order, Warrior's Feast and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. The extensive menu has a little bit of everything. Even though the restaurant was pretty steady, my order was delivered timely. The entree was just what I requested with crispier hash browns. Santalina did check in couple of times. The diner has various tables to chose from with large windows to watch what's going on outside. The restaurant was not loud so a person can have a normal conversation without raising your voice. I had the biscuits & gravy with two eggs over easy on top. The food was good, but the service was lacking. My drink was empty for a very long time before the server got off her phone and walked around the restaurant to check on the customers. Diner style restaurant that was run down and could definitely use a refresh. I would definitely give them another shot if I am in the area. read more

The restaurant is clean and the service is good. I ordered two eggs scrambled with cheddar cheese and onions, pancakes and fresh fruit. The order was done pretty quickly and the food was good. Similar to a diner, a step above what you might cook yourself at home. My only disappointment was the $7 freshly squeezed orange juice that was bitter and not worth it. They have all the dietary needs right here, from breakfast to lunch. they have two plant based burger options, which was surprising. they are both good and would get them again. The service was quick and friendly. The space is nothing special, nice views of the street, but the restrooms down the back hall, in what appears to be a shared aoace with other businesses were not clean. read more

I'm going to tell you about a little piece of heaven I found here in Milwaukee. First I want to thank Faith and the cooks working here. They make really delicious breakfast and she serves it so charitably I forgot I was paying and thought I was donating. They have a Stuffed French Toast that is made with Nutella between the slices however, my build a breakfast idea was to swap that with peanut butter. Now it has all a simple man needs in it with bananas, crushed walnuts and powdered sugar to top it off. You can add syrup if that's your thing. Yes, I did. I posted the coffee picture but not the cafe americano I took to go. The barista can do wonderful things with her machine and her glow behind the bar could wake up the sun. Sorry I didn't say much about the other things they serve and only talked about mine but after all, it's up to you to build. read more

This was another long time bookmark that I finally got over to, my last try for lunch had no parking so I felt at 6:50 am on Saturday I would find parking and I did. The place is very cool looking and colorful with nice black/red walls and nice tables/booths/chairs. At 7am I was the only person in the place so I had no service issues. The menu has lots of good looking items but the biscuits and gravy sounded good so that's what I ordered. I just love biscuits smothered in sausage gravy and when I see one on a menu I usually order it. My food came quick and my first impression was that they were a little skimpy on the sausage gravy because it just barely covered the biscuits with very little over flow on the plate and it was one biscuit cut in half, skimpy again. My eggs were cooked perfect sunny side up. The biscuit was very fresh and good, perfect for the biscuit and gravy. The sausage gravy was ok and the sausage taste really came through but after I chopped the whole thing up it was on the dry side because it needed just a little more gravy. The sausage gravy didn't have that southern flavor to match the good biscuit flavor but thats probably not what they are going for, it's their version of sausage gravy. I wouldn't let today's visit stop me from going back and trying some more of the menu because the menu looks good. read more

Me and my wife just ate here, not good. We were seated, then we waited and it took some time to be waited on. The young gentleman that helped us was very friendly, but we soon realized, the food and drinks we ordered, were below average. I ordered a Bloody Mary, it was horrible. It tasted of cheap vodka and the mix was un drinkable. The food, was very bland. We basically left our plates more than halfway full and my Bloody Mary looked untouched. Was looking for a place to eat brunch with my mom after her eye doctor appointment, we found this place next door yesterday afternoon. This is my second 2nd time here, but my mom's 1st first time. She loved it. The customer service, the atmosphere and the food. So we ordered it to go, I ordered the Turkey burger with onions, avocado, bacon, lettuce and tomato, an egg on top with a side of sweet potatoes fries, oh don't forget the sirracha mayo on the side also. Then a small cup of chilli with cheese, onions. Everything tasted so good. But I don't recommend to take it to go, cause when I opened it my fries got soggy. Using the plates they use to have your food hot is good, but for crispness not good. Go ahead and eat in the restaurant better. My mom loved the Atmosphere as for me as well. It was a great vibe. She ordered the Best of All Worlds , she liked what she saw inside the plate, but everything got soggy. So next time we go, we're going to eat there inside the restaurant not to go. Love their customer service, they sat us down quick, we didn't even wait that long. The bartender was very nice to us. He took out order and smile at us the whole time, I told him he had a nice smile. Love how the person that was doing our food came out to ask questions about how we wanted our food. Forgot my lunch for work today and wanted to grab something near by within walking distance. I've drove passed this place several times but never stopped in. I placed a pick up order through Eat Street on their website. I just kept it simple with the 1/4 pound cheese burger with fries and the price was fair even with the $1 fee Eat Street charged. I like how I was able to keep an eye on the status of my order and estimated time when it will be ready. I walked down as soon as I got the notification that it was ready to be picked up and was greeted by a nice waitress. Got back to work and my burger was hot and pretty good. The one thing I like about the fries is they're seasoned with seasoning salt. Any place who seasons their fries like this is fine by me.
