For $7.25 plus tax you can have all this.

Very cool people and an interesting food truck. $7.25 for a basic hotdog is pretty crazy to me but I wanted to try out a new spot so I need to suck it up a bit. Tater tot meal that I ordered. Looks pretty good though.

Build a brat and the Thirsty Crab are the 1-2 punch that South Whidbey needed. Looking for a spot to bring friends and grab some tasty beer and extravagant bratwursts? Look no further. The outdoor seating of the Thirsty Crab combined with the wafting aromatics of Build a Brat are what make this place so perfect. My wife got the Seattle Dog, and I got the Reuben dog, both of which are such creative concoctions that would wow the tastebuds of any bratwurst connoisseur. Would definitely recommend the "Firecracker Sauerkraut" as well. The staff at both establishments are super friendly and give great suggestions! We will be coming back here a lot this summer!

    Chili dog!!! Great chili.

This is a great place to pick up a very-customizable brat or hotdog. And the people are so freakin' nice. My wife and I love coming here in the afternoon and having a beer or two, sitting in the shade or sun and eating a great brat served up by an awesome crew. The atmosphere is jovial with people all enjoying beer and such, sitting around a fire pit, or under the covered patio. What a great find on south Whidbey Island.

Went to have a beer there yesterday and it was a great experience. The beer had an amazing flavor…read more It was Creamsicle flavor. The service was great as well. The young lady working there was very friendly, polite and had a smile. Sat outside it was nice. It's dog friendly which I like. Visiting family on the island thought I would try the Thirsty Crab Brewery. I will be recommending this place. Definitely will be going back before I head home. Every time I visit family here on Whidbey Island I will be going there for beer. I was able to visit before heading home. I would recommend Thirsty Crab Brewery to anyone that likes beer.

You need to go straight through an intersection just before the brewery, turn on a dirt road and then it will take you to the parking lot. Hopefully directions have been fixed since then by somebody but if not be patient in getting there. My phones were exhausted and running on empty so alas no pictures were taken here unfortunately. We still needed some GPS navigation to get in a homebound direction. There were a lot of good looking beer options here so what we did was get a taster flight which was a wise choice. Some of the beers we had that made up that was a Key Lime Lager which was great. It tasted similar to the dessert and was easily my favorite. Alpenglow was another, also a lager that was pleasant and refreshing. We continued with the unique brews of a Nettle beer, a mango lager and the May Bee Lager. We also got an order of some of their brats from the food truck here. Those weren't too bad, perhaps not the most authentic I have ever came across but enjoyable nonetheless and pairs well with the beers that they have available here. Fun brewery to go to and one that should be stopped at if you are visiting the breweries, cideries, meaderies or wineries on Whidby Island.

Not cheap or a huge portion but worth every penny. Probably the most delicious use of saffron in a dish I've ever experienced, and although it was a little pricy for the serving size, it was worth every penny. Not usually a huge fan of mussels, but whatever magic they worked within their huge vat of broth turned them into something I couldn't get enough of. Thank you Paella House for opening my eyes to the potential of this beautiful dish. :)

I decided to purchase one serving for $14.33. They have seating for four at the truck so I ate the food right there. I was quite disappointed for two reasons. The portion is less than what would be considered typical of appetizers. I would probably need to purchase three servings in order to get full from their food. In addition, their seafood did not taste fresh. The mussels tasted dried out and the shrimp had no flavor and was "rubbery". The only thing that they had going was the flavor of the rice, which was decent. However, with such prices for average tasting food, and way below average sizing, I would not go back again.

Portions are tiny (think salad served on a teacup saucer), and they clearly cut corners on ingredients. Most dishes are bulked up with cheap fillers like rice, with barely any meat or vegetables. The names of the dishes have nothing to do with what is actually served. The food looks nothing like what you would get at any other restaurant. At best, it resembles something you might have been served in a Communist-era Budapest factory canteen in the 1980s. Owner does not take criticism well, I think she is tired and just gave up. Wake up: you will never bring the business back by cutting cost on ingredients and by serving lazy pre-cooked food. There is a market for good Hungarian food but you are just giving it a bad reputation, a disgrace.
