I had breakfast there yesterday and had the mash, hich was delicious. seemed a little high but that experience was 5 star..However, today I got clam chowder to go. Pic is what they call a bowl. Then, they have a carry out fee, meaning to dump soup in a container and hand it to you, they charge a fee so with tax and their fee this large cup (not a bowl)of chowder costs twelve dollars. Clams are not expensive. The good thing I will say is it was very tasty. But not worth $12

Cute place in downtown Langley. Open for breaky and lunch only. Knowns for their fried chicken and should be. Just the right amount of seasoning and breading that actually stick to the chicken. Food took a bit but it was fresh and hot. I prefer it this way so that's a plus for me. Servers were well trained. There but not pushy. Efficient. Kind. Knew how to read the room kinda Lunch with wifey included 2 Sammie's and one coffee. Out the door with tax and tip for $60

Food was top tier, fresh qualities and made with care. We ordered the Shakshuka and The Braeburn, and finished every last bite. Service was spectacular, attentive but also gave us the privacy needed to explain our feast. Ambiance: brightly lit, with tasteful decor. Fun and charming vibe.

Braeburn in Langley, Whidbey Island was amazing for large group during our trip. They have a waitlist system you can join online otherwise it's a first come first serve place. The food was enjoyed by all and great portions. I would definitely recommend this brunch spot if visiting Whidbey Island!

Very mixed feelings about our brunch. The food was mostly great. The service was not. Decaf coffee came cold. Asked them to make a new pot. Later, when we got refills, it was cold again. Cold coffee is just not good. A friend ordered coffee with Baileys. Unexpectedly, it came topped with whipped cream. While she wasn't expecting that, she thought it would be good on her waffle. When she ordered the waffle topped with strawberries she asked for whipped cream on it too. And she was told they couldn't do that. Additionally. The server came back to say the kitchen was out of strawberries so did she want something else? Without staying what her options were. It took a long time for the food to come, but the server never stopped by to see if we wanted more coffee or anything else while we waited. Two of our 4 meals came out, and it was about 5 minutes before the other 2 meals arrived. I had the huevos rancheros and loved it. I ordered it with an egg over easy and it was perfect. The accompanying potatoes were great. Well cooked and seasoned. Also at our table was the classic breakfast which was good. Except for the greasy, undercooked bacon. And the breakfast burrito, which was delicious. The formentioned waffles were uninteresting and very plain, almost undercooked. We wanted to try the fried chicken and so ordered a side. Delicious seasoning! But somehow one of the pieces had lost half it's crispy crust. Where did it go??? I liked my food so much, I didn't want to rate them a 3, but in many ways it was deserved between the service and some food issues.

As the saying goes, if 99% of the people in a restaurant are white, stick with the sandwich/burger and you'll be fine. And this time, I was more than fine. I didn't expect my pulled pork sandwich to be this good. It was tender, juicy, and most importantly, packed with flavor. Every piece of pork was soaked in and had absorbed the barbecue sauce, a true flavor bomb. It even reminded me of some of the pork stew dishes my grandma used to make, and she's not European American. Honestly, I wasn't too excited when I noticed the lack of demographic diversity as I walked in. I was worried it'd be just another overpriced sandwich seasoned with only salt and pepper, but luckily, that wasn't the case. The burger bun was actually my favorite kind of bun (oh geez, I hate when Instagram influencers say "wow, that's actually good" about some mediocre high protein low fat dessert nonsense, but now I kind of have to use this phrase here). It was crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, it was light and airy, not greasy like those from Shake Shack. Paired with the moist pulled pork, it made a perfect combo. The staff were friendly and welcoming, too. My only complaint was that the table was VERY sticky, it was so sticky that I had to avoid touching it, even moving my glass to take a sip felt like peeling it off the surface.

Finally got to try this usually packed brunch spot with family! Firstly, I highly recommend putting yourself on the waitlist online ASAP- you'll likely still have decent time to stroll around downtown Langley. The food and service was great. Thoroughly enjoyed my generous slangin' salmon plate, and maple iced latte with cold foam. The raspberry jam and spiced apple spread they have tableside is phenomenal, as well as their ketchup, which also tastes spiced and less cloyingly sweet than storebought generic. Everyone in our party loved their food and drinks and details like the fun glass blown water glasses (I assume from the glass studio next door!). Highly recommend :)

Great fried chicken dinner! I don't normally order fried chicken, but this one peaked my interest. Passing through town we stopped for dinner. We weren't interested in a popular place where food is overpriced and to be able to say, "I ate there". We just wanted good food and didn't have to wait 90 minutes just for a table. So we found Braeburn and were immediately pleased with the service. We were seated as soon as we walked in. The waiter person took the time to ask the kitchen about ingredients for our friend who has a milk allergy. The restaurant was very clean with simple decor. Not too noisy. Large windows that brought in good lighting. Now about the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. OMG! Two of us split the dinner. It usually serves 2-3 people. I would say more like 4 or 5 could easily split this. You can order dark or white meat or a combination. It comes deboned with a nice batter. Also includes 2 sides. We had the Mac & Cheese and potatoes. Also 4 good size biscuit with butter and jam. The Mac & cheese was creamy. I totally recommend this. Potatoes were okay, maybe a bit over seasoned. I would definitely come back to Langley on Whidbey Island just to eat dinner at the Braeburn.

We read online that this place was pet friendly (outdoor seating only). The hostess confirmed and we were put on a waiting list for an outdoor table. We waited for roughly 30 minutes before being sat. Our party consisted of 2 adults, 2 children under 5yrs and 1 dog. My husband ordered the pork belly burrito and a diet coke. I ordered "The Nasty" which was a homemade biscuit covered in fried chicken and country gravy and the kids had pancakes and bacon. The food was absolutely amazing. That was the best fried chicken I have ever had. Mixed with the country gravy. Oh man it was just delicious! The staff went above and beyond and were so so friendly. We had a great time here and ate some amazing food!

Delightful dishes served in a cozy little spot in Langley. Polenta smothered in smokey gravy and salty greens. Fried chicken with sweet and sticky waffles. Flaky biscuits you can dress with apple butter, jam or regular butter.

TL;DR: If you're in Langley, Braeburn is a must for brunch - big hearty food, small town hospitality, worth the stop. Food: Unique but not trying too hard - think elevated classics. Big portions - expect to leave full or with a to-go box. Fried chicken is all over the menu and absolutely delivers. Vibe: Pottery Barn decor feel - cozy, warm, small-town energy. Feels like a neighborhood brunch spot that's been around for generations Service is exactly what you expect. What Could Be Better?: Honestly, nothing. It's exactly what it's supposed to be.

I can certainly see why this place is so popular! It's in quaint surroundings and serves up some awesome food. We were passing through Langley on a day trip through Whidbey Island. We weren't super hungry but wanted to try their signature dish. It did not disappoint! The Braeburn was delicious and the setting was beautiful. Our server was friendly and very helpful. I'd highly recommend eating here if you're in the area!

Delightful brunch spot! Quite popular and they don't take reservations, so expect a wait. The classic Eggs Benedict was just that - a classic! Others in our group loved The Nasty and the tuna sandwich. Our server, Noah, was so friendly and handled our large group with such positivity and kindness. Restrooms are outside behind the building. Free street parking near the restaurant.

To eat, we had the pulled pork sandwich, the blue burger, and the lamb burger. The burgers were cooked nicely and were flavorful. The pulled pork is tender and tasty! And the sandwich had great flavor and the chicken was cooked well. The service fell short for us. We ordered drinks which didn't come out until our food did -- which was almost a 25 minute wait. When the food did come out, I was brought the wrong meal and had to wait longer. For me, the prices are also a little steep for the portion sizes and also not having a server. There are lots of options to pick from so take your time. We also split an order of French Fries which were great! For our sweet tooth we got an Amaretto Milkshake and it was excellent! We really enjoyed this one! It was non-alcoholic and we got this particular one because this was a flavor one doesn't usually associate with milkshake options. We are so glad that we got to try it! The Grub Hut is very, very popular or at least it was when we were there and there was a small line to place our order, very little room to sit and the wait time to get our food was about 25 minutes. We didn't think that was too bad and we thought it was "johnny on the spot" timing at work to tell us that at the time that the order was placed. And I suppose they have it down to an art and need to give out times like this as this restaurant is right by the ferry terminal and Kingston so I imagine a lot of people who are using the ferry need that kind of information to plan accordingly with their meals and arrival/departure times with the ferry.

We enjoy Langley and the lights and shops were great to visit. We showed up just before our 5 PM reservation and the hostess was standing at her computer. My wife asked about sitting on the heated outdoor area because it smelled odd in the dining room. She said it was full (it wasn't) but then still looking at her screen said if we could wait a bit they can make a table available. We gladly waited for a few minutes. There were three to four open tables both inside and outside and she sat us at a two top in the corner next to the door. My wife asked if we could get out of the corner but no go. Then she asked if we could just fit inside then? Now the hostess didn't want to accommodate that and when asked what happened to the table inside she intended to give us originally the hostess, in a rather snotty tone, said to my wife "you only made your reservation today!". That isn't the way to address my wife! She told her that we would just go somewhere else. Crickets from this hostess....no effort to please us so gone we were! We haven't been here for a year since the food was not that great last time and cannot compare at all to other better French restaurants on the east coast and our trips to France. We just thought we'd they it again for a nice holiday weekend meal. We went right across the street to a truly packed Village pizzeria, they kindly fit us in at a great bar seating and we got to watch the LA bowl and Huskies and enjoy our usual Village Pizza, caesar, and a couple of rounds of drinks. Excellent and friendly service! We won't be returning now recommending Prima Bistro again. We often tell guests and friends that it's likely a better choice than Saltwater next door. We are getting tired of the "finer" dining on Whidbey that is often overpriced, unreliable, and un accommodating compared to similar dining elsewhere. This was a good example. And at 7 PB appeared almost empty from our view from the street!
