Love this spot, especially because it is a dog friendly patio. I've been to this cafe several times for coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. Everything is homemade and made from scratch. For this visit, I ordered a vanilla latte, turkey bacon focaccia sandwich, and got some pastries. The vanilla latte was really good and came out really hot. I ordered the turkey Platt sandwich with easy basil aioli. I thought the focaccia was going to be crispy, but it came out soft. The sandwich also came out with a lot of aioli and not easy as I asked for but we made it work. For the pastries, I got chocolate chip cookies and pear cardamon scone. Chocolate chip cookies are very decadent and chewy. Crispy on the outside and soft inside. I would highly recommend this spot when visiting the island. read more

I had such a lovely time here that I'm a bit upset at myself for not having come much sooner. This is definitely my new favorite little bakery/cafe/nibble spot for downtown Langley. We tried a smattering of sandwiches and pastries and truly everything was fantastic. We especially loved the raspberry and lime scone, peach and fig jam scone, and turkey brie sandwich on foccacia. They also sell a lot of nice edible gifts (for yourself or others!) Inside including some of our favorite gourmet nut butters, coffees and wines. Stopped in for a late morning breakfast after a visit to the dog beach. Grabbed the triple double breakfast sandwich and it was incredible. Soft bread, a little bit runny egg, crisp bacon! This is my second time to Langley kitchen and it was fantastic! The breakfast sandwich was the perfect opening note for our trip to Whidbey! I added avocado and a splash of hot sauce! I also tried the seasonal blueberry bread pudding French toast it was fresh and so good! I highly recommend trying whatever is seasonal! I also had a mocha which was good! The blueberry bread pudding was satisfying and not overly sweet like the visual deceives. Very surprising. When you pick up the box, this pastry has some weight to it. Normally, bread puddings are not my favorite, but I'd order this again. The breakfast sandwich was really good! A little pricey, but I felt better about that due to the satisfaction. Wow, one of the best cookies I can remember eating! Lunch was great too :-). I had the Vermonster sandwich. Same focaccia bread as other sandwiches, but grilled like a panni. What a glorious experience! They close at 3pm. At 3:36pm I approached the window in hopes of a coffee to go not realizing they were done for the day. I asked if they could refer me to a place nearby. The lovely people here did one better and asked us to go around back where they made my ENTIRE FAMILY (not sure they saw that one coming) 6 cold brews to go. If that's not nice enough, they topped it off with delicious homemade pastries all wrapped to go. ALL THIS AND THEY WERE TECHNICALLY CLOSED. The coffee was absolutely perfect as were the brownies.
