I've been coming to this place every single time I visit Oregon since I'm from San Diego. It's like a staple to my visit for the past 5 years multiple times a year! They're clams were always my favorite and their alfredo sauce was the best! However this last time I went was a very poor experience. We dined in and were placed at a somewhat hidden table.. our waitress took a hot minute to even get us drinks then rushed us to the ordering where I felt somewhat rude to even ask for more time with the way she was insisting we ordered. After getting the food the meals were warm but not hot. The calamari was delicious but each other dish that was hot was distasteful and a disappointment. When finished we asked for a box and check. Received the box but no check... after waiting 15 mins we asked another server for our check where they told us they would get our server. Okay? Now waiting another 5 mins she comes back and goes "I swear I didn't forget about you guys. I'll be back in a moment." WITH NO CHECK STILL. by this time my gmas cussing like a sailor at the table and I'm getting worried we were forgotten once again because she's still not back with the check 3 mins later. We got the bill and a pen that doesn't work. Asked for a different pen and the sever cleaning the table goes I'll get your server as she's cleaning the table next to us with two pens in her hand. So irritating. We payed then left. But I don't think that I will be going back to there again after this :( read more

Lasagna was microwaved, terrible taste. Wish it was better, but it's consistently bad.

Couldn't understand how a full order is $20.00, but a half order is $17.00 and not $10.00???!!! Food was over priced. It seemed everything is "extra". Waitress never came by to check to see if everything was alright , not even to see if we needed refills on yes/sodas Won't rush back anytime soon. Food is pretty good, though I've mostly stopped going since the new menu. I always really appreciated that Bugatti's worked so well for the healthy eaters and not, for the vegetarians and not, but they took several salads off the menu, so now it's a more typical pizza and pasta restaurant. I don't think Oregon City needed another pizza place. Everything I've had had been at least pretty good and a few things quite good, Nothing really delicious though. This place has good food, and can accommodate a large party. However, yikes is it pricey. 60 dollars for two people is a totally unreasonable. That said, the food is pretty good so I can't complain a whole lot. Still, when I pick the spot, I'd rather go somewhere else in all likelihood. We have been there many many times however the last two times we went was a disaster. First of all the young hostess was a complete idiot, we had to walk up to her to ask for a table. They weren't even busy. She made us feel we were bothering her. Then she just throws the menus on the table & leaves without saying one word to us. Then next time we went for happy hour, which have have been to many many times. This time was different. Two workers were behind the bar cutting fruit etc. nobody acknowledged us. Mind you they had two customers in the whole place, one inside & one outside. So we are waiting & waiting ready to order. The male server finally comes over & ask us what we want to drink we said 2 waters. He said WE HAD to order drinks, I said I am diabetic & neither of us drink alcohol. He points to the menu & says see it says it right here. We say we have been here a zillion times & nobody has enforced this on us. So my husband said we will just leave. As we are leaving we say to ourselves they have a total of 2 tables the rest of the place was empty & they would rather lose customers over that! Food is pretty good and atmosphere is nice but their beer pricing is ridiculous. Look at the menu. The price at the top is so small you can't even see it and you wouldn't think to have to search for it cuz you would never think that a restaurant in Oregon City at a casual family place would charge $8 a pint for beer. Even their flagship fine dining restaurant in West Linn charges $7 a pint. The manager said it's because ingredient pricing has gone up. Really? It's the most we have paid for any place we've dined in Portland metro. And if that were true why isnt the prices hiigher at the fine dining location in West Linn. Lying through their teeth. They're ripping off the fine people of Oregon City, likely because they're a captive audience. Shame on you. We won't be back. read more

We have been here many times over the years and this place has had it's ups and downs. That being said, of all the Bugatti's locations, this one is the BEST! Dan is our favorite but the other Servers we had have been good also. Dan is one of 2 that remembers us and what we like to order. Our one complaint is the Calamari dish. Ever have a food experience leave you feeling like you should apologize to your stomach and taste buds? This was it. We arrived on a Friday and were seated within 10 minutes. The server was very sweet and attentive and that was as good as it got. From the dirty wine glass to the not ripe tomatoes on the caprese salad, the start of the evening was not stellar. I ordered the tuna ahi salad antipasto; no seasoning on the tuna and it just did not have a good texture or taste. The pesto dressing did not coat the spinach as indicated on the menu but rather lay in the bottom of the salad dish like an after thought. I picked at the fish but couldn't get past the mushy texture of the tuna, so I settled for my glass of wine and called it good. My husband got the penne with bolognese and meatballs. It had zero aroma, zero taste and the meatballs were also mushy with no seasoning. The manager came out and asked if he could get us something else but we declined...what was the point if we both had such different dishes yet the same outcome? You would be better off making your own food or going to the Olive Garden, which is by no means fine dining when it comes to Italian, but would seem like ambrosia compared to what is served here. read more

Yes radio listeners, it's happy hour all day on Sunday - so get yourself in there for a great experience at an even better price than most of their operating hours. I had the chicken parmesan - it was quite tasty but not crispy - I'm not sure why it wouldn't come out crisp, I think that's a reasonable expectation, isn't it? While it is ironic that someone who is not a pasta fan would go to an Italian restaurant, SHMBO is a fan of pasta so I was happy when they had no problem substituting the side for me. The wife had a glass of wine and the alfredo pasta - she was quite happy with both. The service wasn't bad yet it wasn't great. Let me preface this by saying I had my heart set on dinner somewhere else when I sister changed her mind and wanted to have her birthday dinner here. Let me also say that Italian food is not at the top of my most favorite cuisines. All of that being said, I fell in love with the complementary focaccia bread. And they had a really great Happy Hour menu that was good for all day on Sunday. I got the caesar salad and a 10" margherita pizza for $8. The pizza was excellent but the caesar salad wasn't terrific. It was not chilled and the dressing was fairly flavorless. Except for the Happy Hour menu, the prices seemed fairly steep to me. I placed a phone order and was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I did arrive shortly after 15 minutes to find my order on a notepad and not yet placed in to the system. My order did eventually arrive with, were sorry for the delay, and that just did not seem to be reassuring. Couple weeks ago we placed a Togo order and was told how long it would take. So we arrive at that time with a baby in the car so I ran in. I pay for the order and they told me it will be out shortly...40-45 minutes later I'm still sitting in there waiting and finally get my order. I understand like 10-15 minutes but don't tell someone it's almost done when it seems they just placed the order when we got there.... Tonight we did some shopping for the baby's birthday and thought "hey let's be lazy and try placing an order online with delivery" placed my order and said order would be 45-60 minutes. Doable and perfect timing for the baby. An hour goes by and I'm thinking to myself not this again..... and of course it was this again. Almost 2 hours after our order was placed the food finally arrived.... total ways of $70... I use to never had issues here and love there food so it sucks to have to right a crap review. Really enjoy the atmosphere and quality of the food. I usually get the build your own pasta dish so I can get some variety. Always been pleased. Can sometimes be a bit busy and can take a little while to get your dish but as long as they keep bringing out the focaccia bread and garlic olive oil I'm happy. Great happy hour menu too. read more

Great Value Goes Local! I'll admit.........I haven't been to a Bugatti's in many years. I had the impression that it was just an imitation of a well known national chain loosely tied to Italian food based on past experiences that were so-so, yet I was pleasantly surprised when our volunteer group decided to have a meeting here and we had a very nice meal. While it's probably not a place I would go regularly just for my own tastes.......it's still a great family friendly place with great service. I went with the pizza, the Greek Farmer, and had a pretty good pie for the price. It's a big 12 inch pizza! As far as taste and texture it was pretty good.........but for me.......the huge slices of onion and uncooked tomatoes just don't work. I exchanged the mushrooms for artichokes which I highly suggest.......far more Greek than mushrooms!!! They use a pretty thick and doughy crust which may be great for some, but for me it just needs to be a thinner and crispier crust. So for me it loses a star there.......but don't let that discourage you from going. Overall I was actually very impressed. Wait staff was very courteous and attentive, the dining area and restrooms were super clean, and the atmosphere was really nice for our meeting. While on my next visit I would choose a different menu item, I wasn't let down at all and I would certainly come back. They offer great value dinners here. Came at 12pm so expected fresh food, right? Clam chowder was barley warm and literally liquid soup. 2 small potatoes pieces and no clams. Bread came out and it was cold!!! I ordered the vongole and they served it to me with no sausage. I told the server that they had made it wrong and she told the manager so he decided to take $5 off my bill. When you cook this dish you should sauté the sausage in the pan and then deglaze to flavor the dish. They offered to give me sausage on the side sense they forgot to add it to my dish but I didn't want that because it isn't the same thing to add sausage after it has been cooked already. I should have left after I saw on the menu that their "osso bucco" was made with pork instead of veal shank. I also realized that I was in trouble when the calamari appetizer came out and it had deep fried lemon slices on it. Charging me for a dish that was not made with the ingredients listed on the menu and then offering a token discount was insulting and insufficient. I ordered via Uber eats last night, and I was amazed with this place! There had been some technical problem that caused my order to not properly connect to the app to send a driver. After my food was about 45 min late, I called the restaurant as suggested in the app. The employees I spoke to were so over the top courteous and apologetic, explaining the problem and how to fix it, and the manager also spoke to me without me requesting him, to make sure the problem was fixed for me. He asked if I still wanted my order, and I requested to upgrade to a larger size, which they happily obliged and did not charge me for. Well, I contacted Uber support as he suggested, but my stoned ass forgot to put the order back in like he told me to. So after about 20-30min, Uber still hasn't gotten back but the restaurant calls back to check! When I finally went to put the order back in, the app said the restaurant was closed, so the manager took down my address and personally delivered the food himself!!! I felt so bad for the technical difficulties that inconvenienced them as well, but I was blown away by the fantastic service Bugatti's gave, and the food was 12/10!!!! Thanks!!! read more

I was excited to try this after receiving a gift card from some friend... picked up a chicken Caesar salad and eggplant parmigiana to go. The chicken on the salad was good, but, a third of the greens were wilted and slimy. The eggplant parmigiana was awfu!! No seasoning whatsoever, over cooked pasta and sauce with no flavor. This is a hard one. My wife and I love to eat at Bugatti's in Oregon City. It's a "date" place for us; whether for lunch or dinner it's special. Today however was different. Arriving at 12:15 for lunch together we were served by Jessica P. Now to be fair everyone has an occasional bad day, that said she was not at all to the level of what my wife and I have come to experience when dining here. The customer load was fairly light for a lunch, so there was no visible reason for the lack of customer service awareness presented by our server. We weren't asked so much if we'd like water and the conversation was one sided at best; as if my wife didn't exist. We ordered the lunch special, chicken Marsala with a gluten free pasta substitution. During our wait we were asked if we'd like something other to drink and ordered iced tea and coffee respectively. My wife asked for some honey for her tea and was presented with a single packet and no more. There was no discussion on how many or possibly the thought that one might desire more perhaps. This was the same on the refill as well. I can't emphasis that the server didn't seem to recognize my wife in her service equation. It was close to 15 minutes for the special to arrive and there was a distinct difference in consistency of the plates. My wife's was closer to what Marsala should be and mine was watered down by what appeared to be under strained pasta. The dish itself was overly sweet with little character and not up to the standard we've experienced in past dining at Bugatti's. I finished my meal slightly a head of my wife and our server came to clear my plate and without asking if my wife was finished had her hand on her plate and was going to remove it as well without asking. This was upsetting for me as I've mentioned throughout this review it was apparent my wife wasn't important to the server. My wife and I were asked if we were interested in desert and we were. Our server left and returned roughly 10 minutes later with a desert menu which she dropped on the table as she collected my wife's plate not looking at either of us. I was fairly upset by the entire experience and declined to order paid the check and left. My question is what happened to the service? This was terrible all the way across the board and alarming as we've never had a bad meal here before. read more

We took advantage of an offer from Bugatti's Oregon City for Easter. I called to order our meal and the gentleman that answered could not have been nicer. We picked up our food on Easter Day. Our son is an Essential , so we don't get to see him. So he picked up a plate. We all really enjoyed our lasagna, Caesar salad, bruschetta and our son had the cannolis. We have patronized this Bugatti's since it opened in Oregon City (something like 10 years ago?) It was always a reliable, better-than-fast-food Italian food place. Not high-end, but flavorful, moderately priced, and dependable. But in the past 2 years, it has steadily been going downhill. -- The portions are getting smaller, the prices are getting higher, the incidence of mistakes, especially on take-out orders, keeps getting worse. $23 for a chicken marsala dinner that consists of one SMALL piece of chicken sliced in half to make it look bigger and a small scoop of mashed potatoes is simply outrageous. And the full/half portion pricing is absurd. $17.50 for a full-portion Della Casa Pasta, but $15.00 for half??? I understand you should get a better deal on a large portion, so I don't expect it to be $8.75 for half. But how about $11 or $12? -- They often forget or make mistakes on substitutions like a different vegetable or salad, requests for an extra cup of oil for dipping bread (or forgetting the bread entirely), wrong dressings, wrong sides, etc. Sometimes they forget an entire entree or give us the wrong one. -- The Italian sodas, which used to be so good, are now thin, clear, and cheap. A "Vanilla" tastes and looks like seltzer water with a little white coloring thrown in it - even when we request it "with cream", and even with "extra" cream. -- Sorry folks, it used to be nice having a medium-priced, medium-quality Italian restaurant in O.C. But after tonight's forgotten entree, lousy sodas, and missing requested capers, we're pulling the trigger and saying "no more Bugatti's". read more
