This place was a lovely stop for lunch. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich, there was so much food, the sandwich was huge, chicken was yummy, and not too spicy. The French fries were the real win as they were fried properly, and so crispy. For those who love ranch, they also have a great one! Make sure you do your mouth stretches before you come here! The portions are very generous for the majority of items, the plates are shareable or you can plan on having leftovers.......unless you're famished then just chow down and don't worry about any judgment. On our first visit, we did the club sandwich and a cheeseburger. Both were delicious and met expectations. On my second visit, we got the fondue plate and for $20 I was definitely expecting a bigger portion since it clearly says it's for two people, but it was snack size for sure so that was a little disappointing but Check out the photos of that chicken wrap! My chicken wrap was amazing, it was so full of fresh veggies, it was incredibly light and crisp, there was no weird pieces of chicken and it was very refreshing. The staff greeted us right away when we arrived, we were seated without any wait and they were very attentive. I love the vibe here, there's plenty to look at, but it's not overdone so you don't feel overwhelmed and they do a good job of keeping everything dusted and tidy. I really enjoy that they actually have their own clothing available for sale and the best part is I would actually buy it! I really enjoyed the Wild Hare Saloon. We had a group of seven of us, but they were able to seat us right away. Our server was fantastic. She was friendly, prompt, made recommendations, didn't question substitutions, and let us split the bill. Sometimes when there is a large group it becomes painful for everyone, but she made it easy. I started with the cheese fondue. I had just been to Switzerland the week before and had amazing fondue there. This wasn't as good as that, but it was good and how often do you find fondue in the states? It was served with apples, baked pretzels and chicken sausage. I would definitely order this again. I also had the Wedge Salad. Bleu cheese crumbles, bacon, egg, and bleu cheese dressing. It was so good. Honestly there were so many interesting items on the menu that I would love to try. Another person in our group also ordered the Wedge Salad but doesn't like blue cheese and they let her substitute the cheese and the dressing. No complaining or having to check with the chef. Clean the beer lines! I've only eaten here once, food was pretty good. Service has always been decent, no complaints there. I'm in the area frequently but don't live nearby. I've been here 4 times now over the past year. The beer always tastes nasty, I assume they rarely or ever clean the lines. I ordered 2 beers that I drink frequently enough I know what they taste like. The first one I ordered (Breakside IPA) was off, I thought maybe the keg was old. The second beer I ordered (Fort George Vortex), was terrible. It tasted like I imagine toilet water would taste. That "dirty line" taste, but REALLY dirty. I'm stubborn, I wanted to like the place, but I've finally learned my lesson. I won't be back. read more

The service was good, but we did have empty water glasses for a while before they were filled back up. The tuna I had was really delicious, but the salad had waaaay too much dressing. My order was for take out. I ordered the prime rib dip and tater tots. The tater tots were good. They had good flavor and were crispy. The prime rib sandwich was just gross. It had a very rancid taste. Thankfully I had a lot of tater tots and my daughter gave me half of her chicken wrap. That was decent even though it was suppose to be ranch in it, not cheese. The nerve some people have when they don't want to cash tickets. First time here so I thought I'd gamble before eating except I didn't eat after feeling uncomfortable I was waiting for a few small tickets to be cashed but didn't mind since I was still playing. After I finished playing I took my big ticket to be cashed the blonde heftier bartender said it'll be my last to be cashed and accused me of calling her a b**ch. not sure if it was because I cashed so many or didn't tip (wasn't done playing!) but the nerve to accuse me of calling her such a name is far too disrespectful especially in a busy setting. Being the only person of color in the establishment at the time, I can easily assume she didn't want to service me because of my ethnicity/background but I'm not going to go there. My daughter and I stopped in for brunch and enjoyed our meal. We shared the donut holes, an impromptu purchase, and they came out before the meal just like an appetizer. They were good, not overly sweet, and not at all oily some donuts holes are. My daughter ordered the French toast and bacon and enjoyed the thick cut crispy bacon. She wasn't sure about the French toast at first because of the crispy coating but after trying it she thought it tasted good and happily eat it. I ordered the breakfast bowl and loved it. The mix of over easy eggs, rice, and fresh spinach made for a healthy brunch option. Loved our server as she was very friendly and the food came out in a timely manner on a Saturday morning around 11:30. Wow!! I looked at the menu before I got here and it looked pretty good. And when I walked in, it just seemed like a cozy nice bar with a little stage. And then I started eating my food! The beet salad was amazing, the calamari was amazing, and everything else looked really really good. The music started just as I had to leave, which made me so sad because I could tell from their warm-up that they were going to be amazing! This is a great find in this area. It's pretty good if you've got plenty of time. It's setup like a typical small town bar/restaurant. Very very clean! The food is usually really good (I've had a couple of misses, but nobody can be perfect all the time and I've been there a lot). The main drawback for me is it's slow. Sometimes staff can be surly and I can't tell if they're trying to cultivate the rude server persona (which is fun when done well) or just grouchy. We went here with another couple on a Thursday. The service was excellent! Very attentive and positive vibe from wait staff. Our meals: 1. Seafood Pasta - great flavor (excellent broth), scallops were tender and flavorful 2. Ahi Tuna Salad - dressing was perfect. Plenty of Ahi which was done in a traditional Japanese seared style. 3. Chicken Wrap - He didn't say much but he seemed to enjoy it 4. Steamer Clams - plenty of wine/butter sauce, clams were hot & well steamed but not overdone. Great grilled sourdough bread w/order + Calamari & bottle of Pinot Gris (Joe) calamari was tender - Total bill = $130. includes Wine $32. & class of beer + Premium mixed drink. (Very reasonable I my opinion) My only caveat: Get a better wine list! Include more local wines and better whites for summer. read more

Wild Hare seems pretty much the same. We still come occasionally but today we are trying Brunch. They are now serving Brunch in the restaurant as well as the bar (9am-1pm) on Sat and Sun. The Canby location has a full daily breakfast menu. We'll get down there. Prices are hot for Brunch $9.00 - $14.00. Service was excellent. We went with their "crispy" French toast, biscuits and gravy and Benedict. All in all I liked the French toast the most. The cornflake crust was awesome. The biscuits and gravy were average (we did a 1/2 order). The Benedict was okay. The hollandaise was very loose and I believe microwaved. They did pile on the ham and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I would come back for the French toast and I think the lunch menu is still too big but everything we've gotten has been pretty good. I mean, for American fare, the Wild Hare is still pretty cool in my book. Well, they kick the c**p out of Cooperstown. That's for sure. read more

Came in tonight and waited 1.5 hours for our food. When food came out the prime rib dip was so cold. And they took the sandwich away and still charged us. It was really bad customer service!
