I had high hopes when we set out to have dinner and drinks here. Sadly, all the great things I've heard about this place wasn't what I experienced. We set out for the night to have a late dinner and drinks with friends. We ordered the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and a chicken sandwich. We also order cups of clam chowder. I can't say anything good about the fettuccini Alfredo. It was VERY bland, dry and gummy. It wasn't even very warm when served. This tops the list for being the blandest pasta dish I've ever been served in a restaurant. The same goes for the sandwich; bland, dry and very disappointing. The sandwich doesn't even come with a side. For the high price we paid for these dishes we sure didn't receive high quality food. The clam chowder was average. Nothing to rave about or even give credit to. The staff was average friendly. We were offered additional orders on the cocktails we had ordered but we never received refills on our waters. After hearing, over the years, that this is a great place I was really disappointed. Now that I've read other's Yelp reviews, of visits similar to mine, I feel more confident about not being the only one that was terribly disappointed with my experience and the food. I wouldn't recommend eating here but the bartender and drinks were fine. It would probably be a decent place to meet up for a cocktail hour or to stop in with some friends at the bar. Been waiting to write this review to make it as nice as I can with still being honest. We went here despite the reviews because we got a gift card. Unfortunately the reviews were right. Took over an hour to get our food. We had to ask for the bread that was half good and the other half really hard and old. My dinner salad was pretty good. Blue cheese dressing very watered down. My boyfriend had the cheeseburger which I almost fainted when he ordered it well done. He says the lady next to us got a raw one was why. Crazy that it was still kinda raw in the middle. Fries were old and barely room temp. My spaghetti Bolognese was ok at best. Meatballs were TERRIBLE, obviously frozen, couldn't even cut with my fork. Bad experience. I had ordered a $15 plate that came out with mushy overdone pasta, sour taste, and veiny shrimp. I had about two bites of my food and didn't get a box. Our bread was hard as a rock and our server spilled beverages on or around our table on two separate occasions. This is not a place I will come back to. First the bread. Good but cold. It should be hot. I ordered in theory baked ziti. First off the dish was watery. Two the noodles were not Ziti noodles. Third I had maybe 15 noodles in the whole dish tjat is being generous. Fourth the chopped meatballs were definitely not homemade and frozen gross tasting. The sauce was generic and was flavorless. We had excellent service at our most recent visit (end of December), but three of the four in our party felt the food was just okay, and the quality and quantity received was not worth the price paid. Bugatti's does not serve Italian food. I think it is very important to state that up front. They serve American food with Italian themes. They are notorious for their happy hour cocktails I understand. That's all well and good for stiff afternoon drinks and snacks. In my opinion Bugatti's is the last place you would want to sit down for a meal. If you love traditional Italian food you will be disappointed. Service was sweet with a smile, no problems in that area. The prices seem high for the quality but that's Oregon City for you. Ingredients taste canned, frozen or days old. I do not mind small portions, I love tapas. But don't charge your customers $16 dollars for a spoonful of pasta and four "prawns" the size of bay shrimp. Our salads tasted off. I can't really describe it other than saying they were off. The dressing was sour but not in a yummy balsamic vingarette way. My "panini" looked as though it had been essembled by a toddler playing in the kitchen. I counted three slices of salami total with a small pile of wet deli turkey on one corner. In all fairness I do like their calamari appetizer. Not for the calamari which was overly rubbery but because they fry fennel and lemon along with it. Battered (tempura style) fennel is delicious. The minestrone soup was pushed aside. Both my companion and I had trouble getting it down. It had all the flavor of watered down Campbell's tomato soup. Bugatti's has been one disappointment after another. I wanted to stop in and extinguish my hope for the restaurant once and for all. What happened to Bugattis menu and standards? Two visits in the past month (hoping I'd just been unlucky the first time), and wasted good money both times. I ordered the shrimp angel hair pasta the first time- A tiny portion of half super hot, half cold pasta with dry crispy edges that tastes like it was cooked a day earlier, then reheated, with a few extra-small, overcooked shrimp (microwaved from frozen then boiled)? smothered in chopped garlic in the hopes you don't notice the temperature, dryness, or rubberizes. Second visit the Margarita Pizza was awful, too. Dry, pale, barely cooked, flat/dense crust, completely bland unseasoned tomato paste for the sauce ,and rubbery sliced rounds of I don't know what type of over processed excuse for mozarella. no basil, no hint of freshness. DiGirogio does a better job and it's cheaper than the happy hour price, This used to be a place you could have a quality Italian meal. The lamb sugo was to die for, and they actually crafted food in the kitchens. Now it's struggling to live up to the high school prom date go-to Spaghetti Factory.. at least there you get a warm meal, and freshergiven the high turnover. We went to this restaurant due to a review from Open Table. The appetizer was an herbed bread that was fantastic. The entree was okay but nothing spectacular and definitely a different take on the dishes from other Italian restaurants. The deserts were great. The most outstanding part of our visit was our waitress, Karen. She was absolutely fantastic. I am writing this review for my mother who lives in the area. This has been her favorite restaurant for YEARS. She goes with her friends on a weekly basis. We even hosted her 80th birthday party at the restaurant last June because she loves it so much. Unfortunately, they have recently changed their menu and she & her friends are VERY UNHAPPY with the new menu items. The margarita pizza used to be served with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil (without tomato sauce). It now is served with tomato sauce, which makes the pizza soggy. They changed the bun on the chicken sandwich and no longer serve it with bacon. The bun is now too soft and the overall flavor of the sandwich is not good. They also no longer serve spaghetti, which was one of her favorites. My mom & her friends are very unhappy with the changes and are looking elsewhere for other restaurants to replace their favorite spot. read more

I've eaten at the Oregon City location about a dozen times over the past several years. I usually meet about 6-10 ladies here from zumba class every few months. The service is ALWAYS excellent! Without fail, we've always had wonderful servers who are always courteous, friendly and prompt. Kimberly stands out among these greats as especially outstanding. She is really approachable even when she's super busy, always answers our questions, and never forgets an order. She really makes our experience enjoyable. Thank you, Kimberly!! This a solid restaurant. I will be going back. Now that I have said that let's talk about the experience. Came in around lunch time and there were a handful of people. We were seated right away and offered drinks which is always appreciated. We both ordered water and the entire meal I never had the chance to empty the glass because the waitress was a rockstar on the water. I ordered the turkey pesto with a Caesar salad and the minestrone soup. All three had some good and some bad parts. The minestrone soup was more of a tomato base with some celery potatoes and navy beans. It was definitely not like any minestrone soup I've ever had. The Caesar salad was lightly dressed that I think that may have forgotten to put any dressing on it. Lastly the pesto was lacking much flavor and there was absolutely no pine nut flavor and the pesto wasn't very flavorful as a whole. The crunch was great. read more

It's always a favorite place to go with family or as a date. The bread and garlic oil is the best and can definitely fill you up if you're not careful. I love the desserts especially the tiramisu. The food is ok Italian food. Maybe I haven't found the right meal for me. The lasagna was good but not my favorite. And the ravioli isn't something I want every time.
