Let's break this down, the server was super sweet and great, unfortunately he had most of not all the tables coming in so it was slower than it should, he needed help. The food, I had the Chicken Parmesan, the chicken was yummy, pounded thin, breaded and fried, the flavor of the breading was good. Plenty of food as well. However, the spaghetti almost tasted like it had tajin in it, the chicken only had a drizzle of marinara on it, which seemed weird for chicken parm. Garlic parm Chicken wings and a half Greek salad. They were short wing and told me and discounted the meal(I know how much for just one wing) up front. Service was the highlight of this meal, he was way over tabled but managed well. They way overcooked the wings. It tasted like Parm, it tasted like garlic, but it wasn't terribly impressive. Solid classic spaghetti meatballs you can always count on though a bit pricey $20. You can do half order (1 meat ball) or full order (2 meat ball). The meatballs were tender and moist and got the same temperature as the spaghetti would it much easier said than done. I have been disappointed many times before at 4-5 stars Italian restaurant, yet their meatballs were colder than spaghetti and that just so annoying. I came in this location many time during working lunch over this past year. Throughout these visits, they only had one server in each section so if you have less than 45 minutes or so during 12-1pm, I would say proceed with caution. Most people I saw dinning in looked retired and was not in the hurry at all. Daily soups are almost always spot on. The tomato bisque $5, was a tad on the runny side but good taste wise. They gave you ample of focaccia bread. I wish they put balsamic vinegar in the garlic olive oil dip. The steak pasta cooked just right a few times I ordered. I didn't not care much for the cheese or seasonal squash ravioli. I think there were too much cheese which was overpowered other ingredients came with it. Angel hair with white sauce were also good. The tiramisu and cannoli are okay, very standard for flavor. I liked the strawberry mule with the paprika kick to it. Casual setting and consistent quality of food. Whatever you do, don't order the lasagna. It tastes old (could tell it was reheated / cold in the middle) and has no meat (as advertised) within the lasagna itself. Tasted like a mouthful of ricotta cheese. When I told the Manager that was false advertising he became argumentative stating that the bolognese sauce has meat in it. However, the bolognese sauce was sparingly poured along the sides and not part of the dish itself. It was NOT fresh either (as advertised). How disappointing. read more

My wife and I have been coming to Bugatti's periodically for several years now and honestly we've always had a great meal. We do try to come for happy hour as they have a great happy hour menu, a little cheaper wine, and we enjoy sitting in the bar. Whether you're getting their Fresh Bread and Oil which is made with their house made focaccia, their happy hour pizza, Bolognese w/ an extra meatball, or some pasta off their regular menu. You won't be disappointed. We recently tried the the Gamberetti for the first time, which is made with an angel hair pasta, white wine sauce, prawns, pine nuts, scallions, and chili flakes is absolutely amazing! I'll have to explore more of their pastas. The service here has always been great, particularly from the bar and a nice relaxing calming atmosphere makes this a great place. Not sure why this place is only rated a 3 and a half stars as we've always had great food and service. Give Bugatti's a try. read more

I didn't expect to be blown away, but I was! REALLY beautiful meal, which surprised me because I thought this establishment was a chain and chain restaurants typically don't impress me much. The lasagna her is FANTASTIC! I added a shrimp skewer to my meal, which was perfectly grilled & buttery. My husband got the seafood cioppino and was also very pleased. The broth was rich and delicious, packed full of fresh goodies from the sea. He left not a drop. I love their warm crusty table bread with oil served when you are seated. So good. I was stuck in Oregon City during the "Arctic Blast", I was very lucky to have a local take me to some places during my stay. I was craving a hamburger and told this place wouldn't disappoint. For years, Bugatti's has been one of our favorite go-to places. The food and the service has been good in the past. Something has recently changed. The last 2 times we went, the pasta has been overcooked and mushy, not al dente. Last night I ordered soup & salad. The soup was good, but I had to pick out quite a bit of yellowed or slimy spinach from my salad. My husband ordered the Garambini, which is usually a good choice. When it came, the pasta was overcooked & completely dry, missing the sauce. This was Sunday evening, and the restaurant was about 1/3 of capacity, with most people leaving, not terribly busy for Bugatti's. Our waitress seated us at a dirty table and we had to ask for it to be wiped. She neglected to give us table service, and we had to ask a busboy for that when our food was delivered (by someone else). She did not check on us & we had to ask someone else to find her to report the problem with the dish. When she arrived, she bent over and stuck her nose over his food and declared she could smell white wine and pointed to a solitary red pepper flake! Eventually she agreed to bring some sauce. We did not see her again for some time & when she arrived with a cup of sauce, he told her the pasta had gone cold. She replied "the sauce is warm". She then offered to stick it in the microwave for him (which would have turned the shrimp to rubber balls). Bugatti's in Oregon City is a great spot to visit. The food and service are great. Between us we had 2 burgers and a Cobb Salad. The burgers were very large and juicy. The salad had lots of ingredients and was very filling. The fries with the burgers are crinkle cut and on this trip cooked how we like them(a little crispy). The seasoning was also a nice touch. The bread before the meal is a nice addition, and that can be somewhat filling on its own. Very comfortable sitting outside. read more

Nothing much stands out when they eliminated the shrimp scampi dinner from the menu! Why on earth would you do that? You are slowly deleting all the seafood from your menu! Way back in the day, when the first Bugatti's Restaurant opened in West Linn, I was a regular. The little restaurant was actually within walking distance from my house. Lydia Bugatti herself was cooking and the food was SUPERB. Easter Sunday a lot of restaurants were closed and our family was gathered and hungry. We made the decision to try the Oregon City Bugatti's location. It was my first time there. The service was prompt and our waiter was very accommodating, as we had a 2 year old in a high chair and he was decorating the floor with his food throughout, making a mess. Our waiter laughed it off and said not to worry, it was no problem. I appreciated that. The seating was decent, but the tables were a little small for all of the food and dishes. Overall, fairly comfortable. Anxiously, I waited to try one of my former favorite dishes from Lydia's first restaurant kitchen, Chicken Marsala. I was pretty disappointed. The chicken was rubbery, the sauce thin and without the amazing flavor of my previously experienced favorite dish. There was a true highlight to the meal and it came early. They have a soft focaccia type rosemary flavored appetizer bread that was to die for. Great texture, wonderful aroma and just melted in our mouths. We ordered the pasta bolognese and the meatball sub. The "Pasta Bolognese" was a spaghetti pasta with two "meat balls" that are of the variety I get from a vending machine. The texture is that of a soy based product, probably sourced from sysco. I've had a lot of bolognese in my day, and this isn't it. Even the sauce sucked, I would classify this as public school cafeteria grade spaghetti, if you want proper bolognese go to Serratto's. As for the sub, it had the same meatballs and was equally unimpressive. Neither item sat well, both of us had stomach issues.....keep the tums handy. The best thing about this place was the waitress, and she returned someone else's credit card to me. As bad as the food was , wished I'd have used their card. Of the four of us, the only one that had a hot meal was the guy that had soup, and other than being warm, it was lacking in flavor. The other three at the table had cold mediocre Italian food.
