Food service and ambience were a total A+ tonight. Maddie was awesome and served us deviled eggs, meatballs, a chopped salad, and French bread along with a couple of glasses of Chardonnay. We're so happy we came back here and recommend it to everybody who loves great Italian food. The marinara sauce by the way on the meatballs was incredible and prompted us to order some garlic bread to dip in the sauce. It was wonderful. I was incapable of taking pictures to show you how amazing this food was as the party in which I was with was famished at the time because friends had warned us that eating prior to coming to this location would ruin the experience. Dining at Tucci's felt like I was being transported back into Italy. I ordered the gnocchi, and it was absolutely fantastic, it was incredibly soft, pillowy bites that tasted unmistakably homemade coated in rich, savory sauce that was perfectly balanced and deeply comforting. Every bite of our food felt authentic something I would eat in Italy. The photos tasted as good as they looked, very generous portions. There was such a warm and inviting from the dim lighting that makes the whole experience feel cozy and intimate. It's definitely the kind of place you slow down and enjoy ur meal with ur love ones. The service was good, nothing to right home about, and the price is on the spendy side, but overall I would love to go again! Service and Food: the service here was superior. We met friends in the bar area and had dinner. We shared the happy hour calamari which was tender and included small pieces of battered onion. The chicken picatta and caprese salad special were also top pocks for dinner. I had a J.Scott cabernet that was full bodied and so memorable we will look to acquire some soon. But the most impressive part was the take-home caesar and prawn salad for our son. Each component was separately wrapped so that nothing became soggy on the way home. Ambiance: the bar is too dark for my taste and enjoyment and in the future, I will sit in the restaurant portion of the premises. The other small downside was the somewhat combative bartender that greeted us. We called fora reservation in the bar earlier and were told we didn't need one. When we arrived, we were told we did. It was 4:00 pm and we were one of the first to arrive. I suggest the policy or practice become evenly delivered by staff. read more

Food and service are both fabulous! friends took me here for my birthday dinner and I couldn't have been happier with everything from start to finish. we were warmly greeted when we arrived and asked our preference for seating. it was a gorgeous summer night, so we sat in the outdoor patio which has several tables and bright yellow umbrellas with plants everywhere giving it that secret garden vibe. For appetizers we shared the meatballs, which were incredibly tender from cooking in the rich tomato sauce, which I could eat by the spoonful! We also shared the fritters, which are arancini, and they were divine. They were crispy outside, with rice and cheese inside, the romesco providing the perfect dipping sauce. For my main, I chose the chicken piccata and asked for extra capers. It was so melt in your mouth tender and had a nice acidic balance from the lemon. Served with spaghetti, which had the same sauce, it was delicious and plentiful. Enough for two meals. Since it was my birthday, they brought out a slice of their chocolate torte for dessert and a candle - hey, you have to get your birthday wish after all! They also brought three forks since the torte was rich, and dense, and perfect to share. As an added surprise, when I got home to put away my to-go container with half the chicken piccata, there was a container of tiramisu, which is my favorite dessert! Happy Birthday to me! Our waiter was friendly, provided great descriptions of the specials, answered our questions about menu items, and offered suggestions based on our preferences. Well, we took my Italian brother in law to Tucci for what we hoped was a nice Italian dinner. Restaurant ambience was nice and we placed our order for drinks, appetizers, and dinners. I was a little disappointed with the menu offerings. I ended up ordering a pizza, while my Wife and BIL ordered traditional items. Drinks and appetizers were good. Finally, the entree shows up and they brought to be salmon instead of my pizza. I'm a bit confused what was going on, and the server totally messed up my order. I'm a bit put off and wasn't about to wait 20 minutes for another pizza to be made. There was weak apologies and really no attempt by the restaurant to make it right. My evening and experience was not what I came for. I know it was just an error by my server, but that is on management to make sure staff is properly trained. I doubt I will ever return. read more

The restaurant is a germ place in Lake Oswego. They serve delicious pasta! We ordered something simple since we were having late dinner. I like greens, so I ordered Rissoto Primavera. This is so good! So light and so green. My hubby had mushrooms and prosciutto pasta. The pasta texture was very Al-Dante--both flavorful and decent portions. I came in to dine alone so was able to get a seat at the bar and helped quickly by both the host and bartender. I ordered the cacio e pepe and the bartender asked if I wanted to add a salad to start so I got a caesar salad. It had nice crunchy croutons. There was a smidge too much dressy - still good nonetheless. The pasta came out shortly after. It was a really big serving - I was only able to eat about half of it. The pasta was cooked Al dente and the arugula added some flare to the pasta. It could had a bit more Parmesan on it which I realized wasn't offered. I did get fresh cracked pepper offered for my salad though. Service was friendly and fast. I'll be back to try other menu items! read more

The current staff at Tucci is fun, accommodating and wanting to give the customers a great experience. Much more inviting than a few years ago. My reservation switched from 3 to 5 people the afternoon of our dinner. I had called ahead because they were booked online. Walked in and they were ready to offer several solutions to accommodate us. The HH (til 6) offers a wide variety small dinner options and 2 very good small salads. You can make a reservation since HH is served through out the restaurant I don't know how they do this, but there is no corkage fee.. so opens the budget for dessert. The flourless chocolate cake is amazing. This is now our spot when we want to plan ahead for HH. Its all so easy. Cheers! read more

Came here for happy hour and I loved the location. It's right in downtown LO so there's lots of night life going on. Happy hour prices were a little steep in my opinion but glad they at least had a happy hour menu. We got the pepperoni and margarita pizzas and calamari on the happy hour menu. Calamari was $15 which seemed so expensive for happy hour! I don't want to know what the price is normally. It was decent but similar to other calamari's I've had in the past. I enjoyed their pizzas a lot. Each was $11 on the happy hour menu. I don't think I'll return here but nice people serving us and great location overall! read more

How does Tucci's rate 4 stars? We went for an anniversary dinner there, having eaten at Tucci's on a first date not long ago, which we remembered as a good experience. We ordered carrots (the vegetable of the day), a beet salad, calamari, a small pasta, and the risotto. The carrots were charred black on the outside and only partially edible. The beet salad was large but had only 5 or 6 small beet pieces around the edge, a few tiny chopped date pieces and walnut dust at the bottom, and lots of lettuce. The calamari was OK but a little greasy; I've had a lot better elsewhere. The risotto didn't come until we reminded the waiter we had ordered it. When it came, it was more a thick rice soup than creamy risotto. When we tasted it, all we could taste was salt. It was as if the cook had emptied the salt shaker into it. It was inedible, and we sent it back. We looked at the dessert menu, hoping to salvage the meal, but the selections were ordinary, with nothing reflecting the season. read more

We walked in on a Sunday around 4:30 PM. The host looked at us and said, "I don't know where to put you," which made it clear that we should have left, but we decided to stay. The restaurant was busy, but not excessively so. It took a long time for us to receive our drinks and food. Despite having enough staff to handle the crowd, there was a noticeable lack of teamwork among them. Instead of assisting the staff, the rude host was distributing candles to other tables. Ate at Tucci's on October 10th - we were in Lake Oswego for the Gino Vanelli show at the Headliner's Club. We had the chicken Marsala and Beef Stroganoff, started with small Caesar salads. Food was delicious and servings generous. Ended with Tiramisu. Drank a bottle of Villa Antinori Toscana. Service was excellent, atmosphere nice and this place is pretty popular judging by the strong Thursday evening crowd. We would definitely go back. read more

We have dined at Tucci 3 times. Since the last time we were there they have increased most of their pasta dishes by $10 (not including a protein). The prices to add protein are now $6-$16 and they used to be $3-$10.5. My husband ordered the Aglio e Olio it was a little spicier than he would have liked, but he was able to get through it. I am currently pregnant and have been craving Prawn Alfredo and decided to order it, but when my meal arrived and there were 5 medium-large sized prawns I was a little taken aback. My pasta dish was $27 and the prawns were $16. I feel that $43 for pasta and prawns is a little outrageous and made it the 2nd most expensive meal on the menu under the steak Diane. The other thing is all of the pasta dishes all seem to be very similar and there is a little lack in variety especially for being a pretty popular restaurant in downtown Lake Oswego. While the customer service was good, we probably won't be dining here again. read more
