If the could somehow figure out the service challenges they have I would move them to a 5 star. Mandatory 18% gratuity so often what you get is random servers and then they forget about you. That said the food is always good and their soup might be the best in clackamas county. Affordable drinks as well. We like to sit in the bar where you get more consistent service if you sit literally on the bar stools.

We have been coming her for more years than I can count! The happy hour menu has a lot of good choices. The food is always outstanding - even the takeout is perfect. Service is always friendly, quick and correct. We've never had a complaint about the servers. The restaurant has been renovated but has always been rather dark. The skylights and big front patio has lightened it a little.

Salmon sandwich & their amazing mushroom soup!

Love this place! Major comfort food here in a cozy retro style restaurant. They were even playing music from the 1970's when we were there to savor their amazing Friday mushroom soup. Hubby loved his salmon sandwich. Everything was just right. I've never not liked what I've ordered at Gubanc's. Always great quality food and good service. Highly recommended!

Gubancs is an institution, and I used to frequent it decades ago, so Hubs and I stopped in to see how it's holding up. The service was fine. This is obviously a local haunt, and there is definitely a cast of cheers that surrounds the bar, with a friendly bar tender serving up big personalities and the occasional cocktail. We ordered a couple of margs and nachos. Neither were memorable in any way. The very brown spots on the avocado on the nachos made me sad. The building has undergone a recent upgrade, and it was fun to watch football on their large TV. But the room temperature was cold, and the service was not good after we were sat. We waited 20 minutes for someone to offer us a second round, and we finally gave up, but had to wait another 20 minutes for the bill to arrive.

Tuna sandwich with some kind of tomato on it

Normally I have loved the food here and in the past enjoyed the tuna sandwich. This time the tuna did not taste like white albacore and worst it seems they had a hard time finding fresh tomatoes as I do believe they were canned tomatoes on it!!

Really delicious wild salmon sandwich. Lemon drop martini was perfect and not too sweet. Absolutely wonderful service. Highly recommend.

The first thing you'll notice is the ample outdoor seating - perfect for enjoying a meal and/or drinks outside in nice weather, shaded by large trees. The vibe inside is cozy, with lots of stained wood and warm lighting. The front room has a fireplace, and the dark wood L-shaped bar is inviting. Decorating the walls are a large Jameson's Irish Whiskey mirror and a variety of photos, sayings, and Irish knickknacks. Absent the sound of a telltale accent, you won't know whether you're in Lake Oswego or Limerick. Somewhat hidden is a basement area with a TV, board games, shuffleboard, a dartboard, and mini-foosball table. There are a dozen or so beers on tap, including Guinness, of course. Pints are served in special Guinness glasses. Behind the bar are a nice selection of Scotch and Irish Whiskeys. Appetizer favorites include Bavarian Bangers (soft pretzel and banger sausage) and Pan Seared Brussel Sprouts. The menu includes staples (Fish N' Chips, Shepherd's Pie, Bangers & Mash, etc.) as well as a selection of sandwiches and burgers. The Dullahan is a great spot for a family outing or to meet friends, rain or shine!

This thing arrives like a savory mic drop: a patty that actually remembers how to be juicy, cheese that melts with the commitment of a rom-com lead, and bacon so gloriously crisp it deserves its own Instagram handle. I considered asking for a restraining order because I could not stop staring at it. The killer fries are not merely a side--they are a full-blown supporting cast that steals every scene. Crisp edges, fluffy centers, and a seasoning that whispers secrets about your childhood while simultaneously punching you in the best possible way. I tried to eat them politely; they laughed and dove headfirst into my mouth. Kid-friendly? Absolutely. TVs everywhere for the Super Bowl mean you can corral the tiny humans with cartoons and nachos while still catching every questionable referee call. Parents, bring a referee whistle and a napkin--both will be useful. The place hums with the kind of energy that says "family night" and "I might stay for the 4th quarter and a bourbon." Speaking of bourbon, the bar flexes hard. The huge tap list reads like a beer lover's Tinder profile--so many matches, so little time. And the bourbon selection is a love letter to anyone who knows their way around a rocks glass. The Weller Rainbow? Legendary. It's the kind of pour that makes you whisper "thank you" to the bartender and then immediately try to high-five them for good measure. Service moves with the efficiency of a well-rehearsed halftime show: friendly, fast, and somehow always in the right place when you need ketchup, a refill, or moral support after your team fumbles. Atmosphere is loud in the best way--cheers, clinking glasses, and the comforting glow of TVs that make every seat feel like prime viewing. Final verdict: Go hungry, bring the kids, park yourself in front of a TV, and let the bacon cheese burger and killer fries do the rest. If heaven had a menu, it would be printed on Duke Public House napkins.

The service is a little slow and I wish parking was easier but that's not their fault. The outdoor seating is nice when the weather is good but not too hot. We had both done our "menu homework" ahead of time and were joking about how excited we were to try the fried chicken... only to realize it isn't offered on the lunch menu. A bit of a letdown. They were also making menu changes while we were there, so a few other items we wanted weren't available either. The restaurant itself is divided between the bar area and a dining corridor. Based on the reviews we read beforehand, we expected something a bit warmer and more inviting. The vibe felt a little flat for midday. Service was friendly but not very attentive. Our food was dropped off, but no one checked in afterward, which made the experience feel a little disconnected. As for the food -- it was fine. Nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. Overall, it's a "check the box" experience: we've tried it, but it won't land on our recommendation list or be a spot we return to
