Pretty good food, decent service, louder than some concerts I've been to...here's my most recent account. Okay, so back in the day BDubs used to be a hoppin' spot. Over the course of the past 6 or so months I've been paying attention to the parking lot and have noticed that it seems the number of cars in the lot has been dwindling more and more. Especially on a weekend night, the place used to stay packed. I feel like there are a couple of reasons, one being that they've revamped their menu multiple times and keep jacking the prices up, and secondly (this is more exclusive to my personal preference) the place is loud as hell. BUT We go in last night around 10:30 because I hadn't had dinner and my buddy Charlie wanted nachos that he knew he could get there. It had been a while for me and they had just finished a remodel, so I agreed to give it another shot. "We'll check out the new digs and see how they do." I thought. We walk in and throughout the entire establishment we see probably...15 patrons, give or take. We wind up going to sit in the bar area, and in classic bar fashion, the TVs are on sports and other man shows, but the volume is at an ear piercing level, I mean, SUPER loud. We order our food (the waitress was nice enough) and we had asked to get the boxing match on the TVs that we could see. They obliged us, but they kept the sound on the channel it was on (sports post show of some kind), no big deal, just incredibly loud. The one other couple that was in the bar area left while we were waiting on our food to show up and the sound was changed from sports show to rap music. Our food arrives via a different girl and we asked about the volume level in a joking fashion, considering it was only us and a group of 5 or 6 in the bar we didn't think it really needed to be as loud as it was...she told us that the group was off the clock employees hanging out and having a good time. (Total patron count in the building now down to around 10 or so including us) We asked about the rap music and she said that around 10pm they try to make it more of a "club" environment. It's starting to make sense to me now. Aside from us there were literally zero other actual customers in the bar. They did turn the volume down for about half a song, though...enough that we could kind of carry on a conversation without having to yell at each other to communicate. At the next song the volume went up even louder than it was before. I had to fully chew and swallow my food before I could say anything to my buddy because otherwise I would have been spitting food at him. A couple on the clock employees were dancing around some and having a good time, although I feel that all this fun came at the expense of the patrons(Just us, of course). Our waitress did check on us a couple more times to make sure that we had everything we needed, so that was good. As we were leaving, the non-bar area lost 3-4 couples and had gained a group of 12 or so and the music up there was still a little high, but far more reasonable than the bar area was. It was about what I would have normally expected for a place that is normally kind of loud anyhow. To summarize, my food was good, (a few of my wings were a little too crispy and a bit hard to chew), and the service was alright(good enough that I still left a decent tip, it wasn't our waitress's fault that other people were controlling the environment), but I doubt if I'll return. read more

Buffalo Wild Wings - Why's the parking lot so empty on a Saturday night? - American Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

Hostess wasn't very personable. Had a lack of attention for parties with children. There were multiple parties with high chairs in the lobby area. They were on a wait list however hostess continued to seat other parties that walked in the door. The explanation given was that high chairs cannot be placed at table ends. Therefore weeding out half the restaurant since most are 4top tables and or booths. I'd recommend they invest in the booth highchairs like many other restaurants in town much like (Texas Roadhouse). read more

My primary complaint about BWW is the service. Empty drinks, 45 minute tickets...etc. I'm a server myself, and have gone in several times with lots of coworkers in our work clothes. At most restaraunts this would signal to the server that they are getting a huge tip. At BWW it just means that you get to stare at your empty drink glass like everybody else. I've waited 15 minutes and not been greeted (no exaggeration), waited 45 minutes on a hamburger and wings, had my beer empty (as an expirement) for over 10 minutes before the server asked if I wanted another. The environment rocks. The service does not. Don't know if they are understaffed or badly managed, but the place is no fun to eat at. If you want service here, sit at the bar. They do a great job. I'd recommend going to Adobe, however, if you have any alternative. read more

Probably our fourth visit here. Major failure this time. Our party of 3 got seated promptly on a Saturday around 6pm. Restraint was maybe 1/2 full. Asked server if they had any drink specials available. He said no. Ordered two different draft drinks and one mixed drink. He returned few mins later and said neither of the drafts were available, so we ordered something else. Ordered our food few mins later. Server never stopped at our table until food arrived over 30 mins later. My $11 chicken sandwich was about the size of a breakfast sandwich and fries were cold. Only after we were finished eating, the server then showed up and asked if we wanted more beers, which we declined. He dropped off the bill, where we then found that indeed, there was a drink special on there. Hmmm... probably would have ordered another round and been less bothered by our food taking forever, had we known. Will seek out other venues next time we have a craving for overpriced wings. read more

Wow, this place was surprisingly good. I've eaten at BWW a few times before and never been impressed with their wings, which aren't as good as Coyote's Adobe Cafe or Wing Stop, but the cheeseburger was really great, and the service was helpful and attentive. Beer prices have gone up since I was last here 4 years or so ago, but seriously, GREAT cheeseburger! Go somewhere else for wings, but this burger is one of the best I've had in Springfield. read more

Today I ordered 2 salads and an order of chili queso ONLINE at 11:40 got there around 11:48 and they said they were working on it. There was 2 people in there eating.... basically empty. At 12:08 I finally got my order. 28 minutes for 2 salads and some chips and cheese? I get ready to eat and I have no chili queso but only some nasty runny cheese. Nothing like it had EVER BEEN! Ok, so I have been to a number of BWW and each have their own uniqueness and I think that comes from the staff in part. Well, obviously there are a number of reasons that combine to make a great experience. However, I had popped in here on my way to my grandparents in Springfield, I had been in the car all day and was exhausted. Upon entering I couldn't help but notice how clean it was. The floors seemed freshly mopped, the counters were clear and it smelled delicious. We were seated pretty immediately and the atmosphere didn't make you feel like you were in a man cave of a restaurant. The waitresses were switching shifts or ending one shift and communicated it would be just a moment. My boyfriend needed to use the restroom and as he stood up the manager was prompt in making sure everything was ok, since the waitresses had just warned us. Only a few minutes later on of the girls came back and got our drink order. The drinks came out promptly and we placed our order. I think my boyfriend and I were in awe in how nice this Buffalo Wild Wings was. Our food came out and it was absolutely delicious! The sauce wasn't too much or too little, it tasted so fresh. I don't think it was from exhaustion either. We finished our meal and ended up just sitting and talk for a while, it was so nice the waitress didn't push us to get out or with the check, every so often making sure we were good and didn't need anything. Appetizer of Roasted Garlic Mushrooms were okay, but pricey for the small portion (9 small-medium shrooms=$5.59). Entree=Grilled Blackened Chicken Salad was fair tasting with large portion at $8.29. We ordered some late night wings (11:30 pm) we called the order just after 11:00 pm. We walked in the restaurant to pick up at 11:20 pm. A waitress looked at us as we stood at the pick up window in the nearly empty restaurant, but did not acknowledge us. We waited at the counter for about 7 or so minutes before I had to find someone to help me. Additionally, they messed up the order. Unfortunately, this is the second time I've had poor service and a long wait time. read more

Got there at 8:45, they're open until 10:00, and we were told they weren't taking anymore dine in for the night! Are you kidding me? The dining room was empty. There were 4 of us. We went elsewhere and spent almost $100. We won't attempt to patronize this location again. read more

Well we have been waiting all spring and summer for sports..... wouldn't you think that a sports oriented place would get it right? Well..... no. The sound and 75% of the TVs are on WNBA. Manager Tammy should definitely not be a manager. I called in the afternoon to see if they carried a specific channel. Tammy quickly assured me they carried it. Fast forward to that evening after a 20 minute drive to BW and the bartender can't find the channel....well that's because they don't have it!! Thanks a lot Tammy, get your crap together. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Every time I have ever gone, it took forever to get my food, the waitstaff never came to refill my drinks, and the food was mediocre. Go to WingStop instead, unless you really have to stare at 39 televisions showing each flavor of ESPN. read more

I'm giving BWW a 3 because the food is over priced but decent. The atmosphere is cold and industrial so I freeze to death every time I go - winter or summer. The service is anyone's guess from one visit to the next. My problem this last visit is that my teenage step son was with us and he got cheated a wing and wouldn't say anything because he didn't want anyone to get in trouble. Look if you're charging by a certain number, then err on the side of caution and throw an extra in. (I figure you'll get more flats than drums, but that's how they get a few pennies up on the game, but 9 when you advertise 10? Triflin!) I had Salt & Vinegar Wings - could barely taste the vinegar. A $4 order of fries is no bigger than a McDonalds reg-med Fry. Rip. The drinks!! $3.00!! Three friggin dollars?!?!? Every time I come here they mess something up. Lots of potential but terrible service. 2nd time now where I've called in an order, they told me 30 minutes. I show up in about 45 minutes to give them more than enough time and I still end up waiting 20 minutes when I was there. Unbelievable. The server we had, Shannon, was the only enjoyable part of our experience. We get in, and it takes 10 minutes for us to get seated in an empty restaurant. Once we get in the place is disgusting, plates and trash all over every table and the floors. Then, we order our appetizers and it takes about 30 minutes just for the appetizers to get out. After that, we get our meals about another 15 minutes later. The wings were cold and hard, and our burgers were very poorly made, with our fries and cheese curds cold as well. The Philly Cheesesteak was disgusting, the meat was shredded into basically paste. With that, there was three different songs playing on the speakers at a time. The tables beside us still weren't clean by the time we left, and we were so disgusted we couldn't even eat our food. I will never be going here again. The food was okay not sure the wings were cooked 100 percent. Which whatever is what it is. The people that work here have no customer service skills whatsoever! Rude! They're all either stoned out of their mind or completely hate their job. No one smiles no one welcomed me, no one spoke to me until I spoke to them. None of them have manner to say excuse me when walking through tight areas they just expect you to move. This by far was the worst bww I have ever been in. If you hate your job people quit... Over priced drinks for the most part...unless you can make it on the nights with good specials and in that case "Pint Night" is one of the best in town. A never ending turnover on the wait staff translates into horrible service all in all and the food is very overpriced. This particular location is also always really really busy. This really is a 2.5/5 but I'm rounding down in this case due to the length of time it took given the time of day. I went yesterday a little after 2:00 to catch the Barca vs. Juve (soccer) game. It was the UEFA championship match, so it was a pretty big deal. I got there and had to ask for it to be put on the TV - not a problem really. The TV I had turned off for no reason, some technical problems I suppose. Being that I was the patron, I just decided to wait for my server to come back and just ask her to see what was going on. By the time she came back (about 12 minutes later) I had already gotten up to ask another employee to set me up with a different TV. Took me about 40 minutes to get my food (15 traditional wings). Service was what I've come to expect from BWW. I typically prefer Wingstop for their wings, but I was really wanting to watch the game - so BWW it was. read more

Service was only so so. My wife left her scarf there. She called up and was told they found it. She was told they would put it in the office with her name on it. We go the next day to get it. Shocker no one knows anything about it and can't find it. I guess someone decided they liked it. read more

The customer service is horrible and the staff were rude. I don't recommend this place there are better wing restaurants out there.

Sauces are really good. I feel that the breading on the boneless wings is excessive. But, the best onion rings in town, by far. read more

Ordered takeout. Girl on the phone was very new so it took a while. This is not the worst thing in the world, you obviously have to have new people. Went to pick it up 20 min later (they said 25-30). Food was prepared wrong (we asked for no garnish). Again not the biggest deal, nothing I'd complain about. Food was said to have just come up when we got there. Everything was cold. It took us 5 min to get home so not along enough to get home. I can deal with everything else, but this makes the food not enjoyable. read more

The food overall was good, about what you would expect from a Buffalo Wild Wings, but the long wait had me almost get up and leave. The best thing about this place is the drumettes. If you don't know about the drumettes it is time you are educated. More than a hundred years ago way back when wringing chicken necks was our national sport. A small family of chicken farmers were running low on food and only had a few young chickens. Wanting them to grow big, but not wanting to starve this family was forced to eat them. As these tiny poultry beings were killed and feathers plucked the mother cut the bird in to parts. The chicken was cooked and was cooling on the counter when some KC MASTERPIECE BBQ sauce dripped on the tiny wing. This was not noticed until dinner and the father bit into one of these succulent wings and ett it rather quickly. He declared from then on that the small drumstick looking part of the wing would forever be known as a drumette. So, when you go to enjoy 35 cent wing night, Tuesdays, think of the heritage of that little drumette and shed a tear for its humble beginnings. read more

Good location and nice set up for watching sports. But if you are looking for a good meal, this is not the place. If you really want to eat good wings, try Adobe cafe on Glenstone or Big Whiskey's Downtown. These two restaurants place 1st and 2nd each year in Springfields wing competition. Other sports bars one might try are Rivals, Skybox, or smoke free Coester's. Don't fall for this tourist trap! read more

After waiting 1hr for our food, we received cold wings and cold onion rings. Our waitress took back the onion rings and brought hot ones back, finally. She disappeared for a good 20min while we were waiting for our food and drink refills. This is not the first time we have had horrible service at bww. Management? That's a laugh. I used to go here twice a week... not anymore. Screwed my order up twice and still charged me full price...

This review is solely on service. The food is good and we have never had a bad meal here. As the expediter brought our app to table, she tripped and the southwest ranch sauce went flying onto me. It was everywhere, my shirt, jeans, both arms, the floor. She was horrified and responded by dashing off and coming back with more ranch and dry napkins. I asked for a wet towel and was promptly given one. The meal continued on without incident. When we were given the check, it was the complete meal including our drinks. My hubs asked if something can be comped as my clothes were a mess. The waiter said he would ask if they could do something. (Really? You need to ask? I smell like an appetizer!) The manager came over and apologized for not coming sooner stating that he got busy. (Really? A guest is wearing food. What took precedence?) He told us that the app would be comped and that he hoped we would come back. Now, we both agree that comping the app was a completely sufficient response for the accident, as it was an accident. But, we shouldn't have had to point it out and ask for something. The staff and management should have handled things differently. To the young lady, don't worry, sweetie, we have all had a moment like that in our lives. It happens. (I looked for her before we left to hug her, but I think she was hiding.) To the manager on duty, I never saw you in the front of house during our meal so whatever tied you up was seemingly not customer related. Please remember that the quests need to be coddled sometimes. Buffalo Wild Wings - At the bar in bf3 - American Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

This was the single worst dining experience we've ever had. First, it took an hour and a half to get our food. Granted we were with a large group but some people in the group got food an hour before we did so were done and waiting for us before we were even served. Plus, we got there at 2 pm so it's not like they were super busy. Then when the food did arrive, our waiter Lanis, promptly accidentally covered my 12 year old in ranch dressing. Then the large boneless wings we ordered (yes, that one thing is what took 1:30 to make) included the right number of wings but some of the wings were nothing but batter chunks. Then Lanis tried to charge us for an extra small order of wings. After I pointed that out to him he fixed it and brought it back with the gratuity already included. I didn't make a fuss about the mess so I get that they didn't comp any of it but that's ballsy to add the tip. I wouldn't suggest going here, ever. And if you see Lanis, run. read more
